I also have a gameplay tip ISP: if you want to see which nations you still need to capitulate, instead of hovering over a surrender bar and waiting for the tooltip, you can click the "Minors" toggle at the top of the war screen. this makes it so only major nations are displayed.
You’re fighting is pretty meta actually except it probably needs more range, so extra fuels tanks instead of the armor plates is a good idea. Also don’t forget to hit the auto upgrade button, so when you get the new model, you save air xp cause you don’t have to put the same modules and engine on again. I like to build a few battle ships and carriers in addition to the light cruisers and destroyers too, as the US, you can afford it, I also like to fill the entire country with infrastructure and build around 50 civs (just to make my economy enormous and unmatched by the Germans or the Soviets, so I can ramp up really quickly after that) before shifting to mils and dockyards, but it’s probably better to build the dockyards before the civs because navies take a long time to build.
I think this video has taught me something. Usually I do the same thing with guns on my plains of having only heavy machine guns but I also put on all range stuff, drop tank extra fuel tanks and self sealing fuel tanks. I think the think that really hurts though is that I use 2 engines 3 which is really expensive. So knowing that more defense and range plus 1 engine 3 is better and cheaper should really help me
Using mods like ANB (All Nations Boostable) or Road to 56 allows you to boost nations again, as well as minor nations and most releasables Up to three times total, and they stack (you can also boost factions for a fourth stack) Ever wanted 120% Attack and defense boosted Germany? Want +200% PP gain for France? Now you can have it
actually the carriers that the US starts the game building are solid, unlike anyone else they're designed with level 1 armor (amazing because I dont have to spend two years refitting ships to make them fast enough to be useful) & they're pretty close to the carrier design meta anyways with as many hangars as you can fit on them, the real draw back to building all those starting ships is you have next to no chromium until doing some research and changing your export laws, and, the US can be kinda annoying to get air xp rolling so actually designing a carrier naval bomber to fill out all these new carriers I build always ends up being the bottleneck at first. everything else is pretty much useless though, the DD's are the usual starting garbage that just isn't worth it and same with the heavy cruisers, plus whenever I play as the US I always delete my starting battleships, I tend to spend as much as is reasonably possible on swapping the USN's BB's for as many level 2 carriers and CA's as I can get out before the war starts.
Funny story, once i Played kaiserredux with my 2 friends. One of them is has over a God damn 3000 and plays like a new Player. We gave him full buff and he Played france. Almost lost while me on Finland and the other friend on britan had to still Save him
This was great, you should buff the AI more often to give yourself a challenge, maybe even bump the difficulty up if you feel like going through hell : )
If anyone is struggling with supply after landing, breaking up your invasion into single div orders with floating harbors will stack the supply for every landing, even to the same tile Very busted, makes taking real ports cake
They should make a check so if either no country or an ai controlled country has been buffed achievements are still allowed but if a player controlled country is buffed they’re not
I did a similar thing a week ago. Didn’t buff the AI but set every one to go fascist (expect France, Benelux, Spain and Soviets to feed Germany). First time playing America was hard, I know right?! Was a ton of fun 10/10 can recommend. Did end up playing until 1948😅. (Make sure to stay democratic for the real America stands alone experience)
Midget Submarine only playthrough when? Also, do you read comments so late after the video release? It's always 2 am on Sydney Australia here for me, which I can sometimes catch
Cute idea to do a guide, but unless little Timmy can shovel over 250$ for the game + ALL DLCs, most of this won't apply to his game, and it's very frustrating to try and find accurate guides that work for someone without DLC (like me). Oh just build these planes they're great! can't. Just make a custom tank then! can't. Then make some strong custom ships! can't. Well the special forces doctrines are powerful! can't. Luckily this country has a bunch of strong focuses! can't.
As a 2000 hour player, I can't wait for that slop guide.
L i got 3k
I'm still waiting for the long-promised "How to play Vicky 2" guide, personally XD
@@fraginatrix oh yeah... I was really looking forward to that...
I find it really dumb how you can only buff the majors and not the minors
so you like buff minors huh?
🤨
😏
I love them minors

Isp this is the 4th year you have said you will do a hoi4 tutorial. I am starting to think you might be tugging my rope here
I also have a gameplay tip ISP: if you want to see which nations you still need to capitulate, instead of hovering over a surrender bar and waiting for the tooltip, you can click the "Minors" toggle at the top of the war screen. this makes it so only major nations are displayed.
Or you can search minors in Google

Can we ever earn the achievement “BRING BACK THE RAT”?
Can you exolain what is the point with the rat? What is that rat more exactly?

Im not gonna lie. Been playing for years and I legit didnt know you could shift click the general portraits.

2:19 ummm i think i already know how to play gay ISP no need for a remainder
According to UA-cam rewind I am in the top 1% of viewers of this channel. Am I cooked?
Not if you’re the RAT
Lol same
took me 22 million casualties as the soviets to beat the entire max buffed axis (including minors cause rt56)

do super heavy artillery only or we will bring out the rat

Beating HOI4’s hardest challenge: explaining the game
Don't forget to do focus A to Z with every default focus nation with the shared Habsburg tree
No its
black ice Luxembourg
Expert ai
Hardest difficulty
Democratic
Zero allies
Artillery only
Good luck
It's really fun to play as the soviets against max buffed germany as well. You can also debuff yourself for an actual challenge.
As someone with almost 2k hours who hasn't had a clue on how to play the game since no step back: thank you for explaining everything in detail
you got me into hoi4 thank you isp
Like thanking a surgeon for a lobotomy.
I HATE sub spam. I absolutely HATE sub spam. Big ass ships on top! Submarines were humanity's greatest mistake!
The Company upgrade tool tip was something I was not aware of, but desperately needed
Watching this reminded me of the x10 and x1000 mods. I can only imagine the carnage those mods would do in the current build of the game
The only reason for buffing the AI is when you want to build TDs and SPGs in Singleplayer
Using mods like ANB (All Nations Boostable) or Road to 56 allows you to boost nations again, as well as minor nations and most releasables
Up to three times total, and they stack (you can also boost factions for a fourth stack)

Hardest challenge is going outside
If paradox updates the British focus tree they should allow winston churchill parrot Charlie to be a Leader
This was great, you should buff the AI more often to give yourself a challenge, maybe even bump the difficulty up if you feel like going through hell : )

you should merge this challenge with elite difficulty
I play way too many multiplayer games with high buffed AI and god damn they slap us around way more than I want to admit
mein gott he didn't skip the buildup years for once
This has been a strangely educational episode.
Thanks sorrow making me laugh while I cry
finally learned how to build my templates
Day 476 asking ISP to form Mongolian empire with generic focus tree and minimal mods.
Issorows please make a beginner video on how supply works. It's so dumb I don't understand it pleaseee

If you had an achievement that involves defeating germany couldn't you buff the soviets or Americans or UK to make it easier
@blackrose3653the reason they bar achievements
why is this video exactly 33:33 minutes long??? is this the work of the rat
you sould try the time traveling spain mod
Looking forward to seeing the easiest game next where you just buff your self the most you can haha
Does "Stenghten X nation" work even if you're playing said X nation?
Yes
I know someone with 3000 hours on HoI who doesn’t know how the navy works and never bothered, I legit had thought it was just a meme
do they not even bother to build a thing?
To be fair, navy is fun for a single or two playthroughs but then gets very tedious so you just deathstack/sub spam.
