Exactly. I said before the game, someone needs to introduce Bobby Petrino to Isaac Teslaa. Broden is just not producing this year for whatever reason. Some of it may be on Green. He often throws behind him or throws him out of bounds, but not sure it's all on Green, it could be Broden is not running proper routes and giving Green enough sideline to work with on deep balls.
I hope my daughter marries someone as committed as an Arkansas football fan who's survived the last 20 or so years.

I mean, Arkansas hasn't won a conference championship since the 1980s. None of this should be new or surprising any more.

Arkansas can be great. The administration, and the boosters, have hamstrung the program with petty power struggles. A unified vision of success will work. Arkansas will always be able to have the talent to compete.

I do feel really bad for the defense and if the Hogs do somehow reach enough wins to keep the staff together it’s gonna take a money truck to keep Travis Williams.

The defense played well enough to win. Green needs to be on a running track not an SEC football field. Offensive line was absolutely terrible. I don't understand how in year five CSP cannot field a decent offensive line. This was not Bobby's best day either - got away from the run too much. Just another all-around mess. Shocker. Such is the life of a hog fan.

The biggest difference is we have a WR playing QB who has zero pocket awareness and makes some of the dumbest decisions I've ever watched a player make.

Sam Pittman has now only won 4 of his last 17 SEC games. If the university actually cared about winning, that would be grounds for firing. Other than Mississippi State and LaTech, I don't see another win. That would leave them at 5-7 and Pittman would mercifully get the boot right in his rear end. They'd have to upset somebody just to get to 6-6, but unless they play a team that has poor QB play and makes more mistakes than them, they can't beat a decent team straight up. Poor discipline, penalties and dumb decisions are the trademark of a Sam Pittman coached team.

LSU could be a win, but that’s a massive stretch given this team’s mentality and ability to screw themselves over like no other. Should have probably gotten rid of Pittman last season.

Defense is playing really good and getting better each week they will keep us in a lot of games. O line is still the biggest problem.
The problem with “being in a lot of games” is that Arkansas doesn’t know how to finish them because the offense has to do that part. What are we now? 1-12, 1-13 in games decided by one possession under Pittman? Something like that.
Its facts no matter the coach unless arkansas can start paying big nil money this is going to be the new norm

The one-two punch of our O line constantly missing assignments (or getting blown up off the line) and our QB's mental mistakes is guaranteed failure to reach a bowl game. Again.
My favorite part of today’s game plan was running the SEC’s leading rusher only 10 times against one of the SEC’s worst run defenses. My second favorite part was replacing any of those would-be runs with 40 passes from Taylen Green.
Not like it really mattered, the O line was getting embarrassed every play, Jackson didn’t average very good running because of it, and stupid decisions were being made by Green.

@@muchduck3754 We had several 2nd and 5s after a first down run and then followed by 2 downs of Green running around in the backfield. Can’t establish a run game without consistent attempts and can’t take pressure off QB and open up play action/RPO without a run threat.
A&M has a good Run-Defense. Just gave up a few big runs in previous games on bad run-fits. They are loaded at DL. LBs are okay.. Pass-D is the A&M weakness tho, by far.
The unfortunate fact is that we as a fan base have become conditioned to expect today’s result.
Pure dereliction from everyone in the athletic department to let this crap continue..23 sec wins in the last 10 years..with a position coach at the helm. This is starting to seem more like sabotage. What in the hell is this program doing

Yet again, the offense outgained the opponent and had more first downs. Guys, stop blaming Bobby. It ain’t him. It’s a garbage O-line that was responsible for multiple turnovers today, one of which led to a score, another of which led to the game ending. Bobby doing his best to rewrite his legacy but unfortunately he’s tied to Sam’s horse.
Bobby is the offensive coordinator which includes the offensive line he knows what he has stop calling 5 and 7 step drop backs call some quick passes work with what we have guru

Arkansas still leads the all time series. But A&M have dominated them in recent memory.

D dense played great but sustaining that for 4 quarters with no help from your offense is an uphill walk and talk. Maybe we will get the Aggies next year at home or something.
Definitely play them at home. They’ll be much better on offense by Year 2 tho.

The idea was that playing at JW would give us more exposure in the Texas recruiting. If you lose there year after year you get the opposite effect. It was also supposed to help generae extra revenue, as well. Not so great when gimme wins get paid as much to show up and be a punching bag as the JW guarantee.

I think we've seen enough of Green at QB. Dude isn't mentally tough enough to shake off a mistake, just gets worse and worse throughout the game. Need a new dude at punt returner as well. Sategna fair caught four balls inside the 10 and one on the 10. Horrible field position disadvantage, lose the turnover battle -3, no chance to win. Our defense deserves better, they play their butt off and get no help from the other side of the ball.

Agree but the offensive line has to block for any qb to have a shot at any success. With how it is now Green gives us the best shot bc he can run, otherwise they’re would be even more sacks.
He’s running for his life every okay.
He doesn't read stuff fast enough in my opinion. Some of the sacks and fumbles are because he holds the ball too much. But the line does miss a lot of players that come through untouched which absolutely should not happen at the rate that it does.
I think you have to catch those punts. You saw the bounce our last punt took to put A&M on the 1 inch line. I mean it didn’t bother them much but still my point. To be fair I was saying the same thing as you during the game so that’s my way of justifying it I guess. 😁

Trey we didn’t make ANY adjustments when their DE’s were chasing Taylen all over the place in the first half. For Christ sakes, their ends were in the backfield before Taylen got the ball. We gotta make adjustments between offensive series not at the half. The first punt fake was awesome. But a second fake after a timeout? Nah. We made stops but that turnover 10 yards from the goal sucked. Three Turnovers and all those illegal procedures killed offensive drives. 🤦♂️
Threw the ball 50 times with a turnover machine at qb. Jackson didnt get near enough touches tonight. Green cant hit open targets with a clean pocket. Wanna see Singleton get a few series.

Taylen is not great but dude, this is on the line. The line is garbage. No protection.
My biggest issue is if he would SET HIS FEET he would be 10x more accurate. Like 80% of his throws are either on the run or off his back foot. And that's even when there's no one within 7 yards of him. It's starting to drive me nuts!

Squander 1 score games as long as I can remember. It’s not even just this coaching staff it’s just the program, it’s a loser program. Always has been since I’ve been alive and always will be. I’m taking my fan talents elsewhere.

I think I’m with you Trey. Apathy is starting to set in. If it’s close, I just don’t see us climbing our way out or we end up giving it away. Sad but this is becoming the state of Razorbacks football. Hope we turn it around.
I love Sam but he needs to be fired immediately. This game was served up on a platter for us. Just the fake field goal debacle is enough to deserve to be fired. Calling a timeout because you could not get the right people on the field shows something weird was up. I knew we were not kicking it from that far out. Not running the ball on 1st down and several times Green loses 5 yards and then with 2nd and 15 we have to throw the ball is easy on the defense. During the 4th quarter it is like they just wanted it more then us. Our team is undisciplined and that reflects on the coaches. That big gainer and our db hangs from the face mask was showing lack of discipline. This team with Sam Pittman has no killer instinct and can not close a game. After this long he should have a disciplined team that knows how to close. I’m done watching this year. I pray basketball is coached much better then this cluster.

The game was never as close as the scoreboard indicated. 1st TD came on an improv and Teslaa just happened to get good position. It wasn't NEARLY the way that play was designed. 2nd TD came off of good field position after a fake punt.
We hung in, but it shouldn't have been as close as it was, we should have lost by 2 TDs or more.
People blame the O-Line, and rightfully so. But Green has ZERO internal clock. He holds the ball entirely too long, and he stares down his primary receiver. He reminds me a LOT of Kaepernick towards the end of his career.
Two things stand out about Green.
1) I never see an independent audible. All shifts and audibles seem to come from the sidelines. Maybe this is a Petrinoism.
2) He can NOT layer the pass. If the ball has to drop over the LB but in front of a safety, he can't do it.
Being a Hog fan in California, I watched a LOT of Boise State last year. Dude was exacly the same. I think he threw for 11 TDs and 9 INTs, sacked 8 times. This year he has thrown for 4 TDs and 4 INTs and has already been sacked 9 times. And who do we have left? Tennessee, Texas, LSU, Mizzou, and Ole Miss. He may take 30 sacks this year. You can blame any (or all) of these...The Line, the scheme, lack of desire to hand the ball off, or holding the ball too long.
I called 3 wins, I think they could get to 5, MAYBE 6 if LSU shits the bed.
Not gonna say to fire this guy, or that guy...But something needs to change. Can't blame the NIL, we sucked long before we could pay players to suck.
I will say the unpopular thing. We have NO BUSINESS in the SEC. In the SWC we were top 3 in the conference almost every season. 14 conference titles, 7 outright and a Natty. We need to go to the Big 12 if we want to really be competitive.

Our O-line and Green's INT's and slow decision making cost this game. Maybe we can beat Ole Miss, Miss State, and the other non-conference game for 6-6. Go Hogs.

We beat ourselves in every one score game.... Most of the time we lose the game, we dont het beat. So many mistakes, missed blocks, missed Assignments.... I just dont get it....

Actually no. Drinkowitz had 1, count it ONE, good season at Mizzou. Until last season, every season was a losing season for him at Mizzou. In fact, he only won so many games last year because almost every team they faced had key injuries or suspensions before the game. Heck, the game against Ohio State was embarrassing because he faced almost entirely the second string for Ohio State and it was a crap show game. Never mind the fact that this season, Mizzou front loaded their schedule with a bunch of scrub teams and all at home. The only two decent teams they faced, they were lucky to win those games.
Kiffin? Maybe but OM proved yesterday what Tennessee and USC already knew, which is when you figure out his system, Kiffin isn't a very good coach, especially in making adjustments. OM, like Mizzou, front loaded their schedule with a bunch of scrubs and lost to a good SEC team at home yesterday.

Why is no one talking about job security??? We went 4-8 in year 4 with Pittman, we are now questioning whether we will get bowl eligibility not even half way into the season year 5? I like Pittman, but he has to go, sometimes the truth hurts but this team makes too many mistakes, and has a terrible mentality game in and game out.
He is incompetent and an embarrassment to the state.
He took over for chad morris when noone wanted to coach us as we were a true embarrasment. He's a great guy and this is his first head coaching job. While he will lose his job this season that man is in no way an embarrassment he has brought us back to respectabiility from what was a true embarrassment in Chad Morris. Sam pittman deserves to be let go but also deserves some appreciation from true hog fans.

I don't know how many more games I have in me. I moved back to Arkansas in 1992 after having lived in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska for 10 years. The only Arkansas game I saw was when we got creamed in the Sugarbowl. I think I was happier.

As a 40 year Razorback fan this is what I know…..
Each year they will have high expectations based on the recruiting class they have.
They will beat a team they shouldn’t.
They will lose to a team they shouldn’t.
They will lose a close game against a major team.
They will win a close game to an inferior team.
They will have a game that makes you a believer.
They will have one that makes you turn off the game.
They will in the end disappoint you.
This is the life of a Hogs fan. Either embrace it, or get out the pig pen.
That Razorback quarterback scares me every time he touches the ball. He has a propensity for mistakes at the worst times.

Welp, another dreadful offensive performance, another loss to the Aggies. Broyles took the devil's bargain 32 years ago--you can have money or you can have success but you can't have both. He took the money and now the Arkansas athletic department is the 10th or 12th or something-richest in the country but the Hogs have mostly not done squat in football--the marquee sport, even with a B'ball natty, all those track nattys, and all those trips to Omaha, let's not kid ourselves here. And this season will be no different, in spite of pre-season optimism (that optimism a nearly yearly occurrence; you'd think by now...) I was hoping for 6-6 but I now feel that's not going to happen because this offense is a shambles. ONE FG after the 4:50 mark of the FIRST QTR, 10 penalties, 3 TOs? Is Petrino a nostalgia hire whose time has past? It ain't 2010 anymore. And I'm sorry but Green is a bust. Barely 50% completions, 5 TDs/5 INTs on the year, all 3 TOs today. He may be a MW QB (?) but he's not an SEC QB. "Green will improve"--yes, well, when is that going to start happening? It's been 5 games, the Hogs are 1 game from the halfway point of the season. If the Hogs didn't have a decent defense, I shudder to think--would they be 1-4? And TN, Ole Miss, UT, LSU, and MIzzou still to go? Lawsy. I've seen enough. I don't like to think about it already but I am THIS close to asking "when does basketball season start?"
TGreen is not an SEC QB. There needs to be an open competition for QB. If Green wins the competition then expect a non-bowl season - 5-7 or 4-8. There might be a better option with someone other Green. Green sucks.

From last year Arkansas had long way I feel like they have improved but bottom line turnovers will beat you!

You would think he could teach our oline to block but he does nothing. Keep Petrino, boot Mateos. Our offense #54 is a waste of air as a ball player. My granddaughter could block better.

It has nothing to do with Pitman. Petrino's blocking scheme is focused around engaging the most dangerous man vs establishing the Mike pre-snap and blocking inside/out like most lineman have done since Jr high ball. The receivers routes are based on how the coverage develops during the play. It takes time to integrate players into Petrino's system whether it's qb, rb, wr, te, or o-line.
A offensive line is your foundation of a good offense. You can build a million dollar house but if you skimp on the foundation it will crumble
