its not worth watching, one of the main characters is played by the self admitted rapist david choe and unfortunately both ali and steven haven come out in support of him
@@utena2 I think it's best to describe the situation fully. For anyone else reading, the actor in question has claimed the story was a disgusting made up thing he told on a podcast for "entertainment". Supposedly this was during the peak of drug use and a mental spiral but the retraction came after blowback during a time he was much less famous. So whether or not he is an admitted rapist is not as unquestionably clearly cut as portrayed by this commenter, but regardless wildly disturbing to listen to and rightly receiving criticism/disgust. If this is a total repulsion off the show, anyone is entitled to it, but Steven and Ali likely see it as a disgusting regrettable attempt at a joke that a now recovering (?) friend regrets and is attempting to grow past. I find it unlikely that they are (in their pov) knowingly attempting to rehabilitate an alleged rapist. Ymmv with whether you think the apology was fake and conveniently timed or real but not/or is good enough. The show itself which I watched before this news came out, I found well done (though the last ep loses me a bit), deeply moving, and a worthwhile look into the complexity of deeply flawed and damaged people. Imo it is worth watching, but maybe pirate it if you don't want to support. It is a huge shame that the actor has tainted this, since I think it is otherwise a notable work for Asian American media.

No one talking about HOW IMPACTFUL that scene with all is full of love by Björk is 😮 it was insane
I adore how shocked they are every time they get a video message
"When someone tells me to breathe, I want them to stop breathing." Lmaooooooo this sent me because it's so trueee
I watch once and enjoy the show, then turn on CC and enjoy it all over again!
13:00 literally the captions are so funny when they gasp what it says is everythingggg
I’m so happy they watched this, just finished bingeing it yesterday and it was fantastic
Every time Trixie laughs the subtitles say “Trixie: [caws]” It’s giving UNHhhh
As soon as I saw the episode where Amy pulled the pag with a gun I was like God I hope Trixie and Katya watch this shit LMAO
how is no one talking about the captions, "Blonde Women caterwaul and stomp" I'm dead
I mean it... if you're watching even if you haven't watched, it's worth watching even with some spoilers. It's so entertaining and well done. Like they mentioned, Ali's great in the show, but woof... Steven is just next level. I binged the last 8 episodes in one night and it took me on a damn journey.
its not worth watching, one of the main characters is played by the self admitted rapist david choe and unfortunately both ali and steven haven come out in support of him
@@utena2 I think it's best to describe the situation fully.
I am screaming and crying and writhing in pain from that 8 Day Load bit. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
