I’ve always had two, but now I have four, one being a 34“ I had planned using for chat etc. gaming on my XL2546k Ben q and hanging up my AW2721D as I’m more thirsty for the performance that my Zowie with Dyac gave me. So in total, 2 XL2546k’s one AW2721D and one LG 34WN750-B 34" which I only bought for productivity. Currently mounted in a 2 monitor stacked format. LG on top gaming monitor in bottom. I’m probably over complicating it lol just don’t want it to go to waste. Never done dual pc. Just started on one PC 2 years ago so very new. And only used to upload from GeForce experience. Just want it crispy man lol everything else in your set up I have GOXlr, stream deck, sure sm7b. Just got everything over the course of about a month ago, because I want better quality. I’m a noob man 🤦🏻♂️

I can't thank you enough for your videos. I just did the screen change from duplicate to extend and I already see a big difference with no tearing. I am still having some pixilation issues when I look at a recording and was wondering what the settings for your Elgato HD 60 Pro are.

I use Sceptre monitors for my stream PC and a BenQ 240hz monitor for my game PC. The mounts and monitors I use are in the description where it says "The Alpha Setup" :)
Great video. If I have discord open on the stream pc and the mic connected to the xlr what about in game voice coms on the gaming pc? Will the go xlr also send the mic to the game pc for in game Comms too? Or would I need to run discord on the gaming pc then and have it host the go xlr ?
I have discord on both PCs and the routing table along with input and output settings in discord can solve all of that :)

Just wanna say so far copied all set up from this video and works very nicely and your video is very detailed. Lastly what is that wireless thing you got connected for your headphones?
That came with my headphones, I was using steel series arctis pro wireless. The 3.5mm cable goes to the back of it from the goxlr headphone port.
Why not use the optical for audio from the GO XLR to the gaming PC? Thanks for the info!
You can use the optical but since both in and out are needed I just found it simpler to use the in and out on PC/GOXLR. I also tested out the optical vs 3.5mm and I personally couldn't hear a difference so I felt good about using the 3.5mm instead. Hope this helps!

I believe the twitch app has been discontinued unfortunately :( what were you looking to use it for? I've been using my broadcast softwares features to replace the twitch app stuff lately and it's been pretty great but unfortunately to pull up other streams I am using Chrome again
So regarding OBS, do you setup all your stream overlays and scenes on the streaming PC OBS or gaming PC OBS?
Stream overlays and all that are on stream PC. Game PC OBS is only to broadcast the content to the stream PC.
Can I use display ports for my monitors instead of hdmi?
I have a small question. I have exactly the same setup as you only when I play spotify on my streaming pc then in obs on that same channel my game sound comes in. I would like a separate channel for spotify so that I can mute it with void. Good video by the way. Would be really nice if you can make a video from start to finish and what you have to set up in OBS and on the Go xlr.
I use my stream deck to control Spotify now. I've had several requests to make a video on separating audio and using goxlr now so I probably will in the near future!
would you still recommend the elgato HD60 Pro over the 4K60 pro? can you tell me why?
No, there are newer ones out now like the Elgato 4k60Pro, however I don't believe there are any significant improvements that would be usable on Twitch
Dude, your video was super informative and helpful for me. I have my GOXLR usb plugged into my gaming PC, and my audio jack input and output plugged in the Streaming PC. This is what Alpha Gaming channel recommended, and it wasn't working. I'm going to try this tomorrow, and it even makes more sense to me. Is there any way you could do a video on setting up/routing your game feed and audio once everything is connected properly? That would be super helpful! Thanks again for the great content man! 👍
Yeah he had it setup how goxlr had originally made the line/out features on the goxlr work. Since then they've updated those ports so you may use either one! I've had a few requests to go more in depth on the goxlr, but I actually do have a goxlr video in my "how to" playlist! I go over the routing tab in the video so you can see what I have checked :)

Yes, OBS on the game PC is solely just to send the separated video to the stream PC.

My headset has a dac that plugs into the 3.5mm headphone port on the back of the goxlr. It's plugged into the wall for power and it's what send my audio wireless to my headset!

Still having issues with my audio. Your video was a life saver cause my 2 jacks were in my streaming and usb but i fixed that but i cant seem to figure out the routing i guess it is called on go xlr and obs. Are you able to get into a dc call by chance ?

mouse without borders is another great software tool to switch between pc's if you don't have the hardware. still keep another set mouse and keyboard when in game without interruption.
I have tried both duplication and OBS. I don’t get screen tearing on duplication and OBS might be too tasking on my system. But i might have to run more test and or get s better build. Awesome vid tho
Question. I have 2 PCs I wanna connect. I have a go xlr mini and Astro a40 with mixamp. Would I have to have both the go xlr mini and Astro a40 connected to the streaming pc? How would I get sound on the a40 from the gaming pc? Going from the Astro aux to headphone port on xlr?
All audio devices connected to the goxlr. There is a port on the back on the goxlr for headphones

I've watched your other videos, but I still didn't see anything on the actual routing of the audio. Like default device and communication device. And what audio settings need to look like on gaming PC, and then streaming PC. I'm done with the cable routing, but still having trouble getting the audio from my gaming PC, over to my SLOBS on streaming PC.

Can you briefly explain why is it more efficient to have the GOXLR connected to the streaming PC versus the gaming PC? I noticed that it works better connected to the gaming PC.
It's preferential, but I rather have my resourced allocated to whatever game I'm playing. It's also helpful to have all of the inputs/outputs on the stream PC for ease of audio routing through OBS (secondary vod tracks etc).
How do I keep game audio loud in my headphones and low for the viewers so it isn’t overpowering my mic? That’s the biggest issue I’m having.
Also, what sounds should be defaulted on out put and input on both pc’s?
I have the master default on both PCs. As for the audio levels, there is a separate slider specifically for your headset if you have your headset plugged into the port on the back of the GOXLR
I am trying to run a dual PC setup, but I can’t get the gaming PC audio to the stream PC stream. I’m using streamlabs OBS. The way I have it setup is just a Logitech Pro X wireless with the adapter in the gaming PC. Can you help advise how to fix this? I am using an ElGato 4K60 Pro M.2 for the capture card (In the stream PC)
You'd want to use the capture card to receive audio in that case I would say so add it as a source in stream PC OBS. I use a GoXLR so our setups are a little different. Audio is a MF without a GOXLR!
if you only connected line in and line out to the game pc, how do you send the sound to the stream pc? I do not understand that
The stream PC is connected via the USB cable so it's like the "master PC". It gets all of the sources in and out and program

Nope, I still use the same exact methods and setup. It took me awhile to figure out the "perfect" setup and I believe this to still be it :)

I ran mine on game PC for a few weeks, it just ain't it haha and to be fair, goxlr says to put it on game PC in their gen 1 instructional videos, but later on they changed how the output 3.5mm port works which allowed those who prefer it on stream PC to do just that but there wasn't much info outt their surrounding it

Do you use Ground Loop Noise Isolators?
I do not, they're not needed with a GOXLR
The video helped me a lot appreciate it but I still need one answer how would I be able to talk out the Shure Sm7b on the game PC it won’t let me in like WarZone games and stuff keep in mind I have literally everything you have at your setup and the Goxlr set up the same way
This will be an adjustment via the routing table in the GOXLR software. If have another video sort of reviewing/going over the GOXLR on my channel where I show my routing table settings as well if you are still having trouble with this :) sorry for the late response!

@@AlphaTube Yes, but I don't want to use the Headphones to get the audio for my GAME. I would want to use the audio directly from the PC into the headset.
Why don't you want to use the headphone output if you don't mind me asking? It's really high quality and even has a voltage output. It's possible to do what you want but you'd need to use another software like voicemeter banana in line with goxlr but at that point there's not much of a reason to have a goxlr

That would be in the routing table! I have a video where I review and go over the basics of the goxlr that shows my routing table :)

It's a USB switch! If you go to my description, click "The Alpha Setup" and you'll see it in that list for the exact one that I use!
Where do you find the twitch app I can’t find it in the Microsoft store
I believe they have ended support for the twitch app on many devices and desktop, I'm not sure if they plan to support it again. However, a good alternative is using Firefox or another browser thats less CPU intensive
Why you have Goxlr and DIscord on the Second pc ? its not better on the first because all the Routing what you can do with it ?
I have goxlr on my stream PC because I don't like it on my game PC and it allows more functionality on stream PC since that's where the broadcasting OBS is. I have discord on both PCs

I have a question. As i can see is that you have discord on your streaming pc? Not your gaming pc.
For now i have it on my streaming pc. That is because otherwise i cant use goxlr...
And if i have discord on my gaming pc the sound that comening out sounds awfull..
Now to the last thing i have an issue with is that the stream cant hear discord.. Game sound and me is no problem.. But discord is dead..

The place to adjust refresh rate is in the Nvidia control panel! So just right click and it'll be in there shown as a display that you can control the refresh rate
Do you need a noise canceler for like extra static noise??
Like a noise gate? All of the filters and what not are built into my GOXLR. Most audio mixing boards have dials or settings that can be adjusted to try and tune out unwanted sound.

Is it possible to do put your Elgato caputere card in your gaming PC?? BC my streaming pc is a laptop.
Not that I'm aware of, the capture card needs to be received by the stream PC. What you can do however (which is what I did when I used to stream from a laptop) is buy an Elgato HD60S (exterior capture card) and connect that to the laptop :)

What would you say it the minimum pc specs for the second pc just for the streaming?
You'd want to focus on a high end CPU, cooling, and motherboard primarily. You can put RAM on that list too. Secondary would be GPU, although it does play a part in streaming, just not as much unless you go with the NVENC encoder settings.

You'd just change the output in the windows settings in the bottom right corner

Yeah that goxlr video definitely shows my routing tab (hasn't changed) and audio settings in OBS you just make sure you have the broadcast mix as your master track

When I streamed from a laptop I used an Elgato HD60S since it's exterior to the PC

It's just plugged into the headset port on the back of the GOXLR! I now have a different headset, but it's plugged in the exact same way.
So with all your audio going to the stream pc, What mic on your gaming pc are you using for VOIP?
I use a GOXLR, it allows me to route audio from my mic wherever I want. To game PC (discord), to certain programs, etc. And same with discord audio incoming to stream PC, it gets routed by the GOXLR routing tab as well.

Hdmi is connected from streaming pc to gaming pc. Im getting the display from it.

The headset hooked to a wireless DAC and that had a 3.5mm that went to the headset port on the back of the goxlr. The 3.5mm male to male goes from the back of the goxlr to the stream PC, not ftom game PC to stream PC. Hope this helps!
@@AlphaTube Hmmm.. What i i have a wireless headset with a dongle? As i have it now is that the wireless-dongle is plugged into my gaming pc.
And to make that work i have connected a 3,5mm to my goxlr and that cable to the motherboard of my gaming pc.
I dont really see the difference between having if from streaming pc or from gaming pc.
It will be the same way, just that i reverses it :/

I believe you would need a 3.5mm and maybe some sort of audio cable to usb adapter then? I just went with a headset that would be compatible with the 3.5mm port on the back of the goxlr to get the full use out of it!

Ouf. The strange part is that i have to usb dongle connected to my gaming pc. I have GOXLR-MINI, so i have connected from the headphone jack in the front to motherboard. I have sound and everything work, but no sound to stream..

I can't figure out how to do this with my external capture card and a Rodecaster Pro. I have everything set up just like this and I can't get Mic audio over to my games.

Why not get a capture card with VRR so you don’t have to do the obs thing anymore

I have a dual stream PC video and a goxlr video! I highly recommend the goxlr as a solution to ALL audio issues. Every other setup seems to have some sort of downside.

@@AlphaTube Agh I have a go xlr mini. I actually switched everything around to make go xlr set up to the stream pc. The issue is my audio is coming from game pc to go xlr, but can't get it to show in streamlabs obs on stream pc
If you're using a GOXLR, definitely watch my newest dual stream PC video. I go over everything to set up dual stream PC properly.
for some reason when i had dual pc i had to run my goxlr on the stream pc cause the aux cables from goxlr to the stream pc were not working. like it wasnt recognizing them being plugged in. so it worked but there was alot of unnecessary stuff i needed to make it work. kinda annoying
That's so odd, I also run mine on my stream PC but I do it purposely lol If you've had your goxlr a long time, they didn't originally have the "in" and "out" ports operating how they do now too.
Would I be able to talk to game chat work with this method? I usually just talk to stream alone but sometimes I talk to game chat at the same time.

I do have a GOXLR video, but I don't recall if I show the input settings on the PCs. If game volume and mic aren't picking up, it sounds like wires are incorrectly routed or the routing table isn't check properly

You have to have a 3.5mm line in and line out both ways from the goxlr to the game PC!

Like the input and output in discord? I believe both of mine are set to default, but you can just test each audio source to see if it's a different one. Also, you'll want the routing table setup however you'd want things to be routed. The routing table in the goxlr software

Im trying to do my setup now but i feel like if im opening obs on my gaming pc isnt the load still staying on the gaming pc? Ive got it ao obs is only open on the streaming pc and duplicated my gaming monitor to my hd60. However i have no audio? Is this the wrong way? Can anyone help me understand why i would open obs on my gaming computer if im trying to use dual setup. Genuinley asking so i can understand what im doing
You're only using obs on game PC to send the video feed to the stream PC. The stream PC does all of the encoding, you're only sending the video feed clean of tearing by projecting it full screen from the game pc

You'd need something to send your audio to console and PC at the same time like a sound board or have your audio get picked up by a capture card. Or stream from the console on the twitch app, but then you lose the option to customize with OBS
Hey man why is it that when i use full screen projector the FPS caps to 30 fps?
Make sure your FPS and HZ matches across programs and settings on game PC.

I’m confused so am I supposed to have the line in and line out cables connected from my goxlr to my streaming pc or gaming pc? In the video you have them connected to your gaming pc but then u say that you have your goxlr connected to your streaming pc
It depends on which PC you have your goxlr software on. If it's on your stream PC, you'd need line in/line out cables on the game PC and USB to the stream PC and vice versa

You need USB to both PCs and all peripherals you want connected to both PCs plugged into the switch.
So if I hook my goXLR in my stream pc and the line in/out into my gaming pc for my audio to work how do I use my headphones along side that? Do they go in my gaming pc or stream pc? It can be 3.5mm or had usb.
Headphones go into the back of the GOXLR. All audio peripherals go into the goxlr, super simple! :)

You need to have audio going in both directions to both PCs. USB handles that for the stream PC (given you put the goxlr software on stream PC). Two 3.5mm audio cables takes care of that on game PC. Line in to line out on and vice versa, think of it as a loop
@@AlphaTube oh I understand that the usb goes in the stream pc and the line in and line out go into the gaming pc but if I have a usb/3.5mm headphones how can I plug it into the back of the goxlr cause the line in and out are already in use?
You'd probably have to have it plugged into stream PC if it's only USB. There's a 3.5mm port specifically for headphones. The line in and line out are separate ports. I show where all of them are in the video for reference

I don’t understand your using dual pc but running your stream off your gaming pc? Why do you have obs on gaming pc
OBS on Game PC is used just to project the video feed directly to the capture card, not for encoding. Encoding is on the Stream PC
@@AlphaTube dude I don’t know why this is so confusing for me but basically I just got the 4k60 pro elgato and am going to be setting up dual pc I have a question my primary gaming monitor I play on is 360hz my second is 240 and then my chat monitor is just 75 hz will I be ok to play on my 360hz gaming monitor and stream with the 4k60 pro it says pass through up to 240hz but I don’t know what pass through means
Your monitor and the cap card are completely separate with this method (which is what you want). Your game PC sees the capture card as just another monitor so when you adjust your settings in Nvidia control panel, you can set whatever you want each monitor to be sent. As for the stream PC monitors and what not, those have no weight whatsoever to whats in this video. Hope this helps

It still works with stream PC off! If you need to make an adjustment though, you are correct you'd need both PCs on.
