Dear English Coach {I think Stephany is your name} Yesterday I was watching your videos, and I was just delighted in so. Today woke up with the eager desire to listen to them as after having watched just three of them my English, which is pretty rusty leveled up inmediately. I'm originally from Chile, but live in Brazil currently. You're, in some way close to me as my mother tongue is Spanish and I lived for two years in Buenos Aires before moving to Brazil. Just would like to hugely thank you for your videos, as I read from a guy somewhere over here, "you have the gift of teaching". Once again thank you, congratulations for your work and needed to know the strenght of your pure desire has caused an enormous effect on me {English studying/come back to study it. Sorry for any mistake I may have commited here. I'm not using any translator, just the little English I learnt about 30 years ago at school. Hugs from the beautiful Brazil, Sachi
I don't know why as a native english speaker i find these videos so entertaining. it must be super frustrating to learn english with our weird pronunciations
same, I'm an English student and for me it's so hard the pronunciation and to be fluent while I'm speaking! I wish I could practise my English with native speakers.
Im from argentina and I think argentinian spanish is worst, the language changes so fast that I hear a new slang word almost every week lol and the pronunciations must be hard asf if u r not a native speaker

Just discovered you today, and as a native speaker, I must admit that your speaking voice is by far the most entertaining and soothing I’ve ever heard. You’re just a joy to watch and listen to, please keep up the amazing work!

Marilia Moura, sorry for asking, but I just read your text Here and I noticed you're a Brazilian too! So, do you mind if I ask you where are you from in Brazil??
Hello Stephanie! I'm an english teacher as well, your fast speech videos have not only helped me to improve my own accent and pronunciation but to give my students a new mindset on pronouncing as well. Thank you!
Those are the real ways to teach people how to speak english and listen to it according to how it really sounds in a daily speech with natives speaker, because when I was a school student there were some teachers who taught us just the Slow and standart pronunciation of each sentence or word but at the end of the day we don't listen to people speaking that slow and standart way while speaking fluently in normal speech. So thank you Stefanie
You're welcome, Juan! I totally understand the frustration because I learned Spanish the traditional way, too, so I struggled with understanding native Spanish speakers A LOT
Hi Stefanie, I love this channel, Every time i drive my car alone, I use to practice shadowing with a lot of videos i download from youtube, most of them, are of motivational speakers like Tony Robbins, o sales coaches like Tom Ferry, but shadowing you with this video for the first time, was awesome and very very confortable to do it. For those of us who practice shadowing all the time that we can, we need extended videos, my favorites are those over 15 minutes like this one. Thanks and continue with your videos please,
You don't have too much videos but I think that you're probably the best teacher teaching what I really need to know about speaking and stuff.. thank you a lot.
Thanks, Leonardo! I'll do my best to be more consistent... my goal is to upload 4 videos a month. It's just been so hard cause I also work with my students in my online course. But I'll keep working till I find the balance... you guys are amazing and I love helping you!!
Me again. After so long struggling, trying to teach my students to sound more natural when they speak, I found you here on UA-cam, Stefanie. I have no words to express how glad and thankful I am..... The results have been fantastic. Your simple, accurate and objective way of teaching English pronunciation just made my day, my week, my month and my year. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to your "Fast Speech 3". Hope it'll bee soon. Bye for now!
I'm 15 and from Brazil! I really do not think that English is a hard language to learn... the more I learn, more I get excited! I love English so much! I'm really in love with it. (if I wrote something wrong, feel free to correct me, I'm here to learn!)
Hi Stefanie, Your videos are helping me a lot in improving my English. Before, when i first started watching i can't catch up b'coz your to way fast in speaking but after a while, I can understand mostly what you've said. I'm also "kinda" imitated your voice, I really loved it ^_^ Thank you very much!

Almost Japanese who went to the US say ''the native speakers talked to me so fast that I could not understand them at all....I was very shocked......''. I really understand the feelings of Japanese who have the experiences like those by watching your this video. So your video is very rewarding. I think that many Japanese do not notice that their dairy conversations in Japan are different from Japanese presentations at jobs. It's the same phenomena that you talk to me in this video. This is interesting? Right? I like your videos. I wish you to keep the English coach at your pace!! (You know, I'm Japanese.)
As a non-native spearker, your Fast speech series are really helpful. They let me be aware of the things that I didn't realize before. Please keep uploading them~Thank you for your great videos!
Stephanie, I know that you try to make your speech more simple for us. Could you speak with us like with your friends in one of your videos? Could you make "fast speech challenge"? I am curious how well we will understand you if you will speak in a usual manner.
Even if the coach isn't "trying to make it simple" for us here; I believe that since she's teaching, presenting here, intentionally or not, she's still making it easier to understand. Because no matter what; teaching, presenting makes everybody instinctively speak in a somewhat more formal, proper way. It's in its nature. This is in spite of the fact that she says she speaks slower in her daily life and when she presents she flows and goes faster. Maybe she indeed speaks slower in her daily life, but I still believe, instinctively or not, as she's presenting here, even if she's faster, she's subconsciously still reducing, combining words less here which is making it easier for us to understand her. Do you agree, coach?
I love your channel and the way you teach us. It seems like you really enjoy it and that's beautiful. I'm Spanish and I want to be a teacher, I'm studying English like 2 or 3 years and you still teaches me some new words and some new ways to say it. Thank you for give us your time and your knowledge. I totally agree. Thanks for your great job. And if you ask me... I love how the English language sounds just the way it is. With its flap T and D, glottal stop and stuff
The English Coach Dear. You forget, that a language is not a simple endogen system. The language shift and language change is not simple endogenous process. See that William Labov says in this topic. Better to do adapt? (Maybe does, maybe does not.) It is a little cynicism from you. A lot of survey shows that a lot of native NorthA. speaker doesnt know well the English grammar. We (with the English as second language) must to adapt to such speakers who does not know their own mother language? You opinion tells from the background: "hey, shut up. I own USD, the most powerful army all over the world. Im speaking, and you must adapt." You has an Emperor view of a language usage. Its named as language-colonism.
I agree that language is undergoing evolution no matter how small it is. I also support newly-made words! (vocabulary enrichment guys), especially words to spice up our conversation in daily life. .@Akos Feliner Are you a learner of English of Second Language? I see a lot of (to-infinitives errors such as: must to adapt to ...). For speaking, I don't really care about grammar, as long as it doesn't create misunderstanding on my part or my speaking partner. However, for written language, I think you should adhere to the rules of at least good grammar, especially in formal or academic setting. For this century, modern English will suffice, I don't know maybe a thousand year from now, will English be the same by then? (like Old English has become antediluvian).
Stefanie, thank God you exist! Thank you for existing, these videos are brutally phenomenal, thanks a lot, thanks a million! I am really happy listening to you, very, very very helpful! :D Keep doing this, I really appreciate it, your favorite English learner!!!! Colombian :D
You are the first english speaking person that I understand almost 99.9% you are talking about. Although I am from Russia and learn English for many years and never been in the USA. Sometimes I even think that I understand u more than some of people talking in Russian :) You are very beautiful too.
I "prolly" won't say prob-a-bly again in fast speech. But maybe it's good for learners to know how the words actually are pronounced correctly, because i think they're gonna be helpful when we're traying to be more clear in a conversation, isn't it?!
Yeah, you're right, Emanoel. Maybe I should mention this in my next video. I would say "prolly" in fast, conversational speech... but I wouldn't say it in a formal situation (like if I were giving a speech), unless it was part of an anecdote. Anyhow, yeah... it's good to know the many ways words can be pronounced.
haha, wow, thank you!! I'm over here wishing I had better equipment to make my videos for you guys (and a quite place... you have no idea how difficult that is to find... at least for me), and yet you guys are here showing all kinds of appreciation. It means so much to me!!
Yes we do! btw are you still in Argentina right?, Hey do you have never thought to create a Vlog channel? since you travel a lot to so beautiful places and with different languages should be great to us the different cultures all related to the language too, I don't if is a silly idea I just love your videos =)
Yeah, I'm in Argentina and yes I have thought about making a Vlog :D But, making the videos is so much work and I'm also building courses for my students so it's hard to do everything. I'll definitely consider it for the future, though :)
Not only Russian. I would say, you can hardly name a language that has no significant difference between its spoken and written forms. Perhaps only Latin, because it's DEAD )) English and Russian are not the worst cases at all. Try to learn some Danish to feel how disaster sounds )))
You're a wonderful Teacher I have been really enjoying this video because I understand every single word you said,You're the first Teacher that I find who teaches English perfectly in a positive way
Okay Finalized !! You are my new California girlfriend who will make me speak like American. I love that you speak so fast.....! I'm done with those Slow-Mo Guys... Keep speaking more Natural and More Faster... we are there for you to catch you.
Wow. This video was awesome. I am from Argentina; I live in Rosario (a city near Buenos Aires). I am applying these techniques to improve my spoken English. I downloaded your eBook and I have already found a friend from New York to speak on Skype in English. We have already had three meetings and it is very exciting to meet native people to speak.
As has been mentioned before, I'm a native English speaker, but I love these videos! It is kind of funny how we choose what to spell out and not. Very often I see "lemme go" "Wanna go?" as opposed to "Let me go" or "Want to go", but yeah, "especially" is spelled out. So many things simply aren't taught to us in a broken-down manner. We just pick it up as we go, and that's how it is. I had to pause at the, "Do you want water, or tea..." moment just to add my two cents (there's another idiom for ya
You have a perfect pronunciation, a fast and very clear way at the same time, and this is a unique style that make me enjoy listening and learning English .... thank you
Thanks a lot for giving this lessons for free. I really wonder, why is it so, but thank you! I started to learn English about 8 months ago, and i'm not satisfied with this result (of course, because i'm lazy), but i believe that i'll be able to achieve more this year.

I'm a native American English speaker and I say "comfortable" in one of two ways 1. comferdabul (rhyming with convertible) 2. comfruhbul But in almost all informal occasions, I prefer to just say comfy!

You, native speakers, are killing (literally) the English language! Hahaha
haha..Well Jeferson, languages evolve whether we like it or not. So I think it's better to adapt :D
I quite agree with you.
Keep doing this, I really appreciate it, your favorite English learner!!!!
Colombian :D
" and now there's a huge difference between can and can't" sure... Not to non native ears, though.
More videos like this, please.
kn sounds nothing like "can't," though, right?
I realized I'm able to understand you each and every word you say even talk fast since I learnt to think in English. It's super duper.
Stefy you'er so next level :D I love it
haha, wow, thank you!!
Stefanie, this is the kind of videos you do so great at. you're so extremely good at this, not grammar videos.
Your beautiful.
You're*
i think so
Md Sohag But.... I don't like some kind of girl
Akram Faiza she's married 😂
She is beautiful and I have been watching a couple of her videos and think she mentioned that she married.
You are the best American English teacher (connective speech is so important )
We have just the same thing with Russian, not so unique )
Not only Russian. I would say, you can hardly name a language that has no significant difference between its spoken and written forms. Perhaps only Latin, because it's DEAD ))
English and Russian are not the worst cases at all.

مسيحي صاك that is true
Lol... I think I'm gonna start making videos with my husband so you guys don't think I'm single. He's really awesome so you'll love him, too! :D
I love the details when you explain... what a nice video! Thanks
