I'm fairly new to this and I about to do a minnie mouse bday for my soon to be 2 yr old and this was very helpful. This is way cool because it allows paper crafters to avoid using an expensive metal die and it will do what the Brother Scan n acutely does now, which is SO cool.

What kind of printer do you have? How do you actually send the printer to the Cameo? Can you cut on regular scrapbook paper...not print, but scan something and have Cameo cut it?
My menu for print and cut only has "registration marks on or off" - I don't have the option for style. I think that's causing my cameo to not be able to read the registration marks. I have recently downloaded the latest version of the software and the menu didn't change. Any ideas of how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking into getting the Cameo but need clarification before I move away from my Cricut. I'm doing a print and cut project that has multiple images, kind of like your stickers. Question is: How do you accurately scale something like that? When I import an image to the Cricut software i have to manually make a shape in the software and start resizing to that size until it's kind of close....that sucks and takes a lot of work. How do you do it with Cameo?

Why do people call the cameo a printer also? I seen it on a list of top printers for heat press tshirt business. I also see the bundle unit comes with like color sketch markers. All videos I see never use these. So does it print also & just limited or how does it work?
How big of an area can you print and cut? If I have a paper that is 12 x 24 will it do a print and cut that size? I have a cricut and the biggest it will print and cut is 6" x 9".
Bab S it’s more how big can you print! My printer is only 81/2 by 11- and that’s what size the paper is. There are 12x12 pieces but not very many inkjet printers do that size!

Hi Kimbo, Great video, I have a question, I love print and cut, but mine are cutting more on the left side of the image, I have centred both the image and the cut line together, this has been doing it for a while, I think it could be since I up dated to 4.1, I did have problems with the 4.2, so I got help to fix those problem that I was having! so if you have any solutions that would be very helpful, Cheers Anna. Do to windows 10 conflicts I am using Version 3.0 software. Cameo 2. done it before and it worked. I printed my sheet and put it in the cameo and it goes to the registration marks and doesn't cut. Not sure what is going on? can you give me any advice?Thanks. Phil
You can design them in Silhouette Studio. I use Affinity Designer on the Mac and iPad. You can use Inkscape which is a free vector program. I also have Procreate on the iPad. You can draw them by hand on white paper with colored felt tip pens and photograph them ... that would be old school, but will work.
I have watched many videos on UA-cam to learn this and you r the best at explaining and it also helps that I speak clearly and loud and others r not so clear due to low vol home. thx for the info
So cool! Most of the tutorials I see focus on vinyl, so it's great to see one using paper. I think I'm getting the hang of adjusting the blade for different papers, but mine seems to start cutting the designs higher on the paper than it should, even though the red rectangle of the cutting area is positioned well within the grid lines. My test cuts fall on the upper left corner of the mat instead of on the paper, which of course dulls the blade...so frustrating! Do you know why this is happening or what I can do about it.?

If you place your print-out crooked or misaligned on the cutting mat, will the registration marks compensate and ensure that everything is cut correctly?

This is a dumb question... but so you put matte sticker paper and print out your stickers and then does the silhouette turn it into a water proof vynil or it just cuts it out.
So far the best video I have seen on print and cut. So many are so outdated. Thank you!

It has a backing on it. Like sticker paper. You peel off the designs after cutting.

Yes, you can. You can even change the color of the border and give it it's own cutting instructions. I am still learning a lot myself
