Unbreakable: Hundreds of people die and 3 extraordinary individuals are born. Glass: 3 extraordinary individuals die and thousands of extraordinary people are born.
Really liked it as well. I just disliked the way they went out. Glass, I understand because of how fragile he was, but Kevin and Dunn were so powerful and they went out like nothing. And Bandit is mistaken when he says that it’s the same thing whether they fought in the parking lot or the building. Because the parking lot is a private area, so only people in the facility saw what happened, but if they did it so publicly, they would have been seen by a ton of people. Nobody would be able to say the videos have been tampered because all these witnesses would say it on the news and UA-cam that these things really did happen.
Alexander Angelus personally I think the reason they died that way was because of the theme of the film. This isn’t a comic book movie, it has comic tones but isn’t actually a comic book movie. In the real world you don’t win because you’re the good guy or even because of how powerful you are, you win because you are the smartest. That’s why the doctor’s organization defeated the Beast and Dunn and why Mr Glass beat the organization.
@@13jonash Yeah, I got that. I mean, I watched it with my girlfriend who adores comic book films, hadn't watched the other two films and was puzzled as to why the fight scenes were so unsophisticated, and I had to explain that this is more like a "what if" in the real world. The average guy doesn't fight like Captain America. But even so, it's not so much that he died, it's how he died. He didn't die protecting someone, he didn't die in a fight against an equal, he didn't die in any meaningful way, some faceless nobody just held his head in a mudhole for too long. It didn't have that big an impact, because I kept expecting him to come back. I get it's in tune with the theme of the story, that this is grounded superpowers in the real world, but the climax was just not that impactful in contrast to everything before it, the previous two films included. Like, in the film Logan, Wolverine goes out tragically, but it was meaningful. Even though the scale of the fight was much smaller than what came before, it was thematically powerful that this once invincible hero used up his last ounces of strength to make sure his daughter doesn't turn out like him, and fought the physical manifestation of the parts of himself that he hated after all this time. I was thankful that Mr Glass had something prepared though, because if he didn't, that would have been out of character for someone who's set up to be so super smart.
Because the Unbreakable trilogy is ultimately an origin story for the emergence of superhumans. Like a chess master, Mr. Glass sacrificed his important pieces on the board for one pawn to slip through to become a queen piece and checkmate the king.
Yesh, this is the classic Bandit that fixes everything. Even if Mr. Glass took a piece from the machine, this correction could still make sense if that was the second time it happened.
I think it would have been better if they dumped the whole hospital setting and have it be about the girl who survived Split and finding Bruce Willis to help her find and defeat the beast so he doesn't hurt more people and maybe at the same time Mr.Glass has a different plan to use the beast to reveal super people to the world. Obviously in that plan it would mean that a lot of people would be hurt or die because of how savage the beast is. So the girl and Bruce have to try to stop them
The reason the laser didn't harm Elijah was because he sabotaged the machine by removing the laser focusing lenses. They showed that very prominently but maybe you missed it.
There are two things I would've changed. One is that Glass knew all along about that secret society by pointing it out in a comicbook and two, I would've given David more to do. Other than that, I enjoyed the film. I give Glass 8/10.
After watching this film, three times, I can genuinely say that I love it. I’m a fan of this trilogy. It’s a lot more relatable than the other superhero movies I see nowadays. Don’t get me wrong, I do love me some marvel/dc films, but something this grounded and thematic is definitely a treat for me. Belief, destiny, and confidence in oneself is what I would describe the 3 films. I only hope that as the years go by, people will look to this unique trilogy and appreciate it for both existing and being different amongst a plethora of superhero movies.
You sound like you want a sequel. M Knight did not want one. That is why all the loose ends were all tied up. I do think that Casey and David's son might get together at the end.
The only thing that really bothered me was the overuse of comic book explanations. Almost every scene at the end has some character saying “this is from such and such”. I know Unbreakable touched on this subject but Glass was overkill with it. Not to mention why the supporting characters so happened to all be there at the same time during the finale? Too on point to be a coincidence. Other than that, I liked this movie.
Guys Shyamalan planned this. He started to make a come back but then, he messed up! It shocked everyone and was very well done. It was definitely intentional.
I liked the movie. I had problems with it but I liked it. Dan Murell from Screen Junkies gave a great review and made me realize it is a good movie but I hate what happened David Dunn. I think Glass did something to the laser.
Glass has some problems but I don't agree that some people called it a Bad Movie. Personally it was good enough for me. I liked it more than Split (I am not a huge Fan of Split) but it comes not even close to be as amazing as Unbreakable. The Ending of Glass in particular really, really frustrates me. I hated half of the Ending but I loved the other half. The Movie is a 7/10 for me.
No offense but I don't think you understand these movies. They're not supposed to be in your face supernatural powers. It's grounded and real world. Telepathy is too silly and the plot to destroy the secret society is bare bones at the least.
Late to the fame but the twist should have been they didnt have powers. If you spend 72 hours trying to convince the audience and the people they dont have powers, the teal twist would be they are actually loony.
I'm sorry bandit , i've been with you most of the time , i've supported you all the way , I agreed with your previous opinions , but this is just too stupid .
It’s not X-men though... so Ppl not going to question, be more confident or aware of one having super powers and a group of ppl trying to kill super hero’s after seeing a video that displays such 😂... the same thing was said about police brutality
I agree with many things said here but the main reason why this movie didn't work out is because they killed off the 3 main character's and only left the 3 side characters alive that just made everyone angry 😠 and bitter for good reason too. That the of the 3rd movie that is what we get for all the time and energy put into this movie franchise. Worst ending for a movie franchise sense the matrix movies. Total letdown.
First of all, Glass's purpose in Unbreakable wasn't to show the world super people existed. It was to find one, and know himself for what he was - the villain. Second, if this was an origin story - whose fn origin is it? All the mains are dead. They shouldve ended the film with the new superpeople meeting or something. I thought it would be like an intro to the xmen at the end. Lame. Third, where was the antihero organization all these years while David was the overseer?
1. Exactly - he was trying to find a purpose. He found one by discovering David and coercing him to accept his calling, not just by being a "villain." He was also a mentor and an avatar for David to become a superhero. Glass is the fulfillment of his purpose - he brought forth MORE superheroes with his plan to expose them to the world. But not just with superHEROES, but superVILLAINS as well. 2. Whose origin is it? Superhumans. If anything, Glass is the pseudo-"prequel" to something LIKE the X-Men universe or the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DCEU in that it's the "ground zero" catalyst for the emergence of superhumans. It was about these three main characters discovering their potential and fulfilling it by believing they are what they are. In that belief, their abilities were exposed to the world and their existence would be a beacon for others to step into the light. 3. The organization stepped in when natural escalation occurred. David was the superhero, and he was fine operating in the shadows. The Horde was the supervillain, and it was NOT fine when the hero and villain come to blows, threatening to be seen in public.
This movie was fucking terrible. I don't blame Bandit for not getting that Glass took the lens out of the machine it was so poorly communicated, just like everything in this film. Split fucking sucked too. Why were people heaping praise on it? Split was dog shit and so was Glass.
Rey is a Mary Sue change my mind. I so all of your videos and your conclusion is not a good one. Rey is like 98% Mary Sue after the last jedi and as you said in some aspects is more of a Mary Sue that the Mary Sue. The explanation for her powers is the weakest one ever (bad writting) so you can call it unexplained anyway. You know: I made a Mary Sue characters... what do I do about it... I will explain her power.... but how?.... I just give any explanation and you can not call her that anymore... You see? The powers have to be explained well in order for Rey not to be a Mary Sue... she is a Mayry sue.
Elijah took out a key component of the laser the night before without them noticing, it’s shown in the movie I just don’t remember what it’s called
Sam McGuinness the focusing lens
@Sam McGuinness... I was just going to post that after just watching that part in the video.
Bandit, seems that you missed that.
Exactly he holds up the the three layered focusing lenses.
It's should of been called Shattered.
Unbreakable
Split
Shattered
Breakable
Broken.
The breakable-verse?
Unbreakable
Split
Shattered
Broken
Unfixable
rebuild
Whole
I’d prefer Shatnered.
Shattered glass
Bandit, Mr. Glass took the lense out of the laser machine. They show it just after he slices that blokes neck.
I'm surprised Bandit missed that part, they clearly show it.
Lasers can't melt steel brains.
But his brain isn't made of steel. Just a regular old brain.

Alright. Next time make it sound like a joke
Great video, but Elijah survived the laser procedure because he removed a piece from the laser machine previously.
Unbreakable: Hundreds of people die and 3 extraordinary individuals are born.
Glass: 3 extraordinary individuals die and thousands of extraordinary people are born.
He took a piece out of the machine, that's why it didn't work on him.
People are giving the film way too much flack. I loved it.
Really liked it as well. I just disliked the way they went out. Glass, I understand because of how fragile he was, but Kevin and Dunn were so powerful and they went out like nothing. Alexander Angelus fair enough.
Dude, the reason why the laser didn't affect him wa because he sabotaged it! There are even flashback sequences showing exaclly that! DUH!!
Why did shamalyan decided kill all three characters.?
Maybe he didn't want to make another movie?
Because the Unbreakable trilogy is ultimately an origin story for the emergence of superhumans. Like a chess master, Mr. Glass sacrificed his important pieces on the board for one pawn to slip through to become a queen piece and checkmate the king.
Because their ark ends in glass . If they were still alive and still got sequels it would be fucking boring .
Oh my God yes another 'what it should have been' you have no idea how much I've missed this series.
Yesh, this is the classic Bandit that fixes everything. Even if Mr. Glass took a piece from the machine, this correction could still make sense if that was the second time it happened.
"Glass? Who gives a shit about glass? Who the fuck is this?!" - John McClane.
I actually thought this was a good film. Great trilogy.

OMG a British guy using a baseball analogy and not screwing it up? Awesome!!!
The reason the laser didn't harm Elijah was because he sabotaged the machine by removing the laser focusing lenses. They showed that very prominently but maybe you missed it.
I was hoping they'd title it "unsplittable."
the surgery wasnt completed because that same night he took off the glass witch the machinery used to work
There are two things I would've changed. One is that Glass knew all along about that secret society by pointing it out in a comicbook and two, I would've given David more to do. Other than that, I enjoyed the film. I give Glass 8/10.

Why do the UA-camrs always come up with the best stuff and not the actual filmmakers 🤦🏻♂️. David should of never died the way he did
Oof. A whole video dedicated to your misunderstanding of a scene
Can you please do more What it Should Have Been your ideas are amazing. 👍
Uhm...you missed the part where he very clearly shows the guy he killed that he took out the focusing lens on the laser, didn't you?

Not giving a shit about him since he was trying to be low key and not in the spotlight.
