Yeah this is like the 3rd time I have uploaded this XD First in parts, then as one whole movie. But unfortunately it glitched over a VERY important scene, so I had to upload it all over again for a third time! But it should be all good now haha
BanditIncorporated Well in the game republic commando there is a line that goes along the lines of "Bullets, i didn't think any one used them anymore" suggesting that there were projectiles in star wars
BanditIncorporated 9:50-10:10 A power like this does exist in the EU, I don't remember the name they gave it but if your interested in learning more the most prominent Jedi user of this ability was named Vodo Siosk Baas. I'm sure google can give you more info. Jedi battle meditation is another ability used to bolster other force users abilities in battle Yoda was considered a great master of this ability.
”Master, we’re too far out in the outer rim to contact Coruscant.” “The closers planet should be Alderaan!” “But Alderaan is a core world, Mas-“ “A L D E R A A N .”
I did my own prequel rewrite on my channel I'm trying to get people to view & don't really have anyone to promote it to, if someone could check it out i'd appreciate it a lot
Yeaaaa, bullets don’t really belong in the SW universe at all. I mean the prequels only happened a few decades before the OT. When one think of Star Wars weapons think think of blasters which shoot lasers and lightsabers which are part of the DNA that s Star Wars
I actually like the fact that the technology in Star Wars never seems to change. It's a Fantasy trope. If they would have been using guns, it wouldn't have felt like Star Wars.
true, but in star wars 1977 obi wan says that lightsabers are of a more civilized age, actually implying that blasters are a recent invention. That line makes way more sense also if lightsabers pre date blasters by thousands of years
The only reason you don't like it is because you're comparing it to the existing prequel trilogy and the lore surrounding it. If you had come fresh from the OT, and were sitting down at the theater to watch this alternate Phantom Menace for the first time in 1999, you would be just fine if Lucas put projectile weapons into the movie.
Indeed. The bullet logic leaves much to be desired here. I understand that he wants to show its 30 years in the past, but in terms of Star Wars, 30 years is like just a blip in the history books, it goes back like 30,000 years. Also, they could be using bullets for a myriad of reasons (faster rail gun like speeds? maybe bullets are harder to deflect with shields? I mean, use ur imaginations, this is SCIENCE FICTION/FANTASY) - just that they hadn’t yet invented blasters - its so very weak. It would be like making a movie today about the 1950s and having everyone using bows & arrows to show it’s “the past“.
Daffy Goose First one isn’t required in every movie, pretty sure it wasn’t in Episode V, and the second one would be easy to add in the air/space battle.
@@jasonfrancese8359 yeah, Leia says it before when she steps out of the Millenium Falcon into the mynock cave a.k.a. space slug's mouth. And it has been in every movie so far, or at least variations of it, so I would say that it is required
The “I have a bad feeling about this” line could be in the beginning when they find the clone base, Obi-Wan could say it because they don’t have their force powers in that moment, so they go with their gut
Vader actually did use the force to block Han's blaster fire. It's the same technique Yoda used to absorb Sidius' force lightning. It can also be used to block and absorb lightsaber blades.
How is sith lighting the same as blaster bolts? In fact the emperors sith lighting is so power it can turn someone to ash whereas a blaster just hurts someone or makes a tiny hole in their body plus vaders suit is strong enough to block lightsaber attacks (as seen in vaders fight with luke where luke strikes him in the should sparks fly off and he is not harmed now you could say the pauldrons where thicker makes sense and the hand isnt as thick but keep in mind its still a strong arm and blaster bolts are weaker then a light sabers blade which explains why vaders hand was able to absorb hans blaster bolt (plus if vader absorbed the bolt why where there sparks flying out?)
LORD BUMMINGTON I never said that sith lightning and blaster bolts were the same. Just that they could be defended against using the same technique. It's called tutaminis if you want to look it up.
Oh Yeah i forgot damn Im stupid glad you responded calmly but did vader know about tutaminis? The Emperor wouldnt want him to know since it weaken the Emperor force Lightning
LORD BUMMINGTON I'd assume he was at least aware of it and he might have been self taught. Vader was never truly 100% loyal to Palpatine so I wouldn't be surprised if he was training in secret so he could take him out one day.
Good Point but palpy did Have the man Who would bring order to the force and he quickly adapted to hes suit so palpy should Have been a Lil bit paranoid.....but then again he wasnt known for it
Being that blasters had been around for all time, bullets are a no, but that's not to say solid slugs don't have a place, mandolorians used them effectively against Jedi before.
I do think I'd still take George's take over this. The story here seems to be hit this point, to this point, to this point, etc. Georges story had more flow with memorable moments. Also bullets should never be a thing in Star Wars.
They do have bullets but they're pretty primitive compared to other weaponry they have in the sw universe. Bullets are only semi effective against jedi because they can't be deflected back to their shooter
cycler rifles used by Boba in The mandalorian as well as the Tusken Raiders use bullets, but that could be assumed to be due to the technolocgical limitations of a society shunning the civilizations on the rest of tatooine.
He didn't see Po's shot coming either, but he still blocked it. And chewee roared as loud as he could before he shot, giving him a good 5 seconds or so warning
Alyssa P I put earlier, but I might as well put one, I just assumed if you didn't want spoilers, you wouldn't click show all replies or whatever it is.
One thing I find off about this is that if lightsabers still exist, why wouldn't blasters exist? The lightsaber seems to be the far more advanced tool, and a natural progression of a blaster. You'd think the blaster would be invented first, and therefore would still exist.
+Michael Edwards Another thing that seems off - transferring Force "power" so they can get a handle on using it. The Force exists *around* everybody, and the Jedi's ability is to *harness* it. They don't possess a certain quantity of Force, so transferring a quantity of Force power doesn't make sense. It also goes against the original films because if this was a useful thing, Obi Wan and Yoda would have done this for Luke.
+Michael Edwards With the transference, I could imagine it being not more of the Force, but each person's individual ability to harness the Force. Imagine, if you will, one person with the skill, ability, and experience of hundreds controlling the Force. It would become hundreds-fold more precise and efficient.
Yeah, that's right, but it's different technology - firing off blasts of energy should be easier than sustaining them in a blade of restricted length - because an extra component would be needed to keep the blade in place. That would be way more difficult! :P
Interesting. I would make two major changes: 1)Bullets being shot. I like the ingenuity, but given how advanced the rest of the technology is, it doesn't make sense to me that they wouldn't have energy based firearms, especially if the lightsaber has been around for awhile. Instead, perhaps put more limitations on energy based weapons (overheating, etc) that make them less effective than in the OT. This will change a lot of your movie though. 2)Anakin shooting force energy at the last ship. It's too flamboyant, too Dragon Ball Z. Instead, have him extend his arms toward the ship, slightly crushing it and bringing it down with a massive force pull. You could have an epic shot with the camera behind Anakin, slowly backing up, giving a breathtaking sense of scale, showing this tiny person bringing down a massive capital ship. It could cut to a shot inside, with the crew being bewildered and not understanding what's happening.
+No Youmaynot Love your ideas, I agree! I made a pretty long post about the lasers and the regular bullets too, your first change would go really well together with my thoughts on the whole thing x)
+No Youmaynot I think Anakin being able to bring down a star destroyer and showing the scale of it would make an awesome shot. BUT ... it wouldn't work canonically. In Episode V we see Yoda barely lift an X-wing out of a swamp, and Luke couldn't even do it. If Anakin was capable of crushing a Star Destroyer, he should have fucked up EVERYBODY in the OT.
XBlueM0ndayX True, but remember, he was only able to bring the ship down in this story with all of the other Jedi channeling their power to him, like in DBZ when the other characters would sometimes transfer their power to Goku.
+No Youmaynot Lightsabers really aren't the same kind of technology though. I mean doesn't it require a Jedi finding a fancy crystal and then putting it together in kind of an elaborate way? It would make sense that maybe the Jedi keep that process secret and even the source of the crystals secret. *shrug*
Madeline Weill True, however we barely have space worthy shuttles now, but we have rail guns and laser weaponry, so I would think in the Star Wars universe where they have hyperdrive, plasma swords, and all other manner of advanced technology, they'd have moved on from bullets to energy based weaponry.
I wish there were more rewrites like this for popular fiction, just a literal reimagining of the entire universe. A new hope really was like a dot back in 77, with an infinite number of potential lines running through it, this rewrite really captures just how many ways the prequels could have gone.
There not being a canonical reason why they couldn't have ordinary guns isn't a good enough justification. Bullets just aren't part of the concept or iconography of Star Wars - blasters are - it's meant to be futuristic space fun! Having normal guns instead of blasters would be like having ordinary swords instead of light sabers.
Actually they DID use to have ordinary swords (force strengthened swords mind u) then the sith invented the lightsaber and it was a game changer. So history repeats itself here with the blasters.
Well then I guess my hypothetical eye-roll become an official eye-roll! Whatever works best for a video game is fair enough I guess but, I still think any aspect of having normal weapons instead of blasters or light sabers detracts from the "StarWarsness" of the whole thing - the fact they actually have done it doesn't really affect that.
What the actual fudge is this? Edit: "since the civilian ships are much slower, they'll be much more manoeuvrable." Errr... That's not how manoeuvrability works.
Faster stuff will go further while turning and a slower vehicle could turn to a direction in a much shorter distance I know my shut have you ever flown a fighter jet versus a n aeroprakt and it's not space they're in the sky
about the bullet/laser reasoning (light spoiler for episode 7): Kylo Ren literally stops a laser blast in mid-air and holds it there, so the idea that they cant block lasers doesnt really fit anymore. But also, if they have laser swords, Im pretty sure they could have laser guns too
Just wanted to tell you that I LOVE your prequel trilogy. I listen to it all the way through every 3 months or so in the background as I go about my life. I'm glad you took the time to do this. Thank you Bandit.
You know what makes me laugh? 13:37 - 14:01 (this is like the third comment I've seen where someone's brain just stopped working at that exact moment while watching the video)
Couldn't the bullets be explained by how it's a Sith base and would therefore would have weapons built to counter lightsabers? You could have the blasters be larger, louder and more prone to overheating to show how the technology developed over time
Starting with Anakin as a Padawan is spot on, Alderan is IN the core they explicitly say it is 'not remote' in ANH, that said I do agree that Padme being from Alderan makes more sense, you just need a different means of having the plot reach that point. Palpatine should not start as Chancellor, we need to see him RISE to that position in this story for the same reason we need to see Anakin fall, Palpatine being the Senate ENVOY to the Jedi would be a good position though for him to act as a manipulator of both. While I don't particularly like the bullets/blaster in a technological sense, it DOSE feel like a kind of super-weapon which the Sith would want and which would logically smash the Jedi order and necessitate the creation of a Republic army. Also having the bad guys use clones is far better then using droids, the war would not be called the clone wars by the Republic if the enemy army was droid based, they would have called it the Droid-wars.
Without Anakin as a child we don't understand the internal conflicts that he has, why the jedi masters look at him with apprehension and what separates him emotionally from the rest of the jedi. His fall is a tragedy. Without understanding him he appears more of an evil person that someone who wanted to do the right thing and protect his loved ones. His fall was the failure of the jedi not just his own flaws. That being said Anakin could have been a few years older in TPM but in that case the question would be should they switch actor or not in the second movie. In that case he could only be 3 years older as a padawan near completion, and George aimed for a long training to become a jedi, around 10 years.
@@Grivian gotta remember they werent made in a George complete image there are a lot of reasons aside form it being made for fan service, why he was changing and throwing out scrips based on fan feedback and being surrounded by yes people doesn't help him when he reflects best when being challenged. nonetheless the editors saved the originals mainly and the way they would work with him and challenge him. not worship
@@Grivian while the original was not necessarily "saved in the edit," the script itself had multiple revisions and did not rely so much on CGI (mostly because it was not around yet). Lucas was challenged more and did not have the kind of control he had for the Phantom Menace. It's evident he rushed the scripts for all the prequels and never thought them through from the BTS extras.
@@adamsunderland0823 To be completely honest I felt like that whole mother thing could of been cut I just don't know what I do personally. Mabey do something with Obi Wan, not kill him but do kinda like what the clone wars do.
Something to remember is that the Original Film (Star Wars) was written, edited and produced... specifically to be a "Stand Alone" Film., as at that point there was no guarantee that it would be successful enough to even warrant a sequel. If you notice Episode V and VI., you somewhat _have_ to watch with the other for context; else you don't know the stakes, what's happening, etc. Episode 1, was KNOWN to be part of a Trilogy from the Start... so for all intended purposes it's Foundational Information. You find out how the Sith "Emerge" and their Relationship with the Jedi Order. You see the events (which are showcased as Orchestrated) that put Palpatine into Power. You see / understand why there is a disillusionment with the Republic, given they essentially don't do anything about Naboo or that the Trade Federation (a Galactic Version of a Mega Corporation) is abusing a Monopoly position through Violence. Then of course you also see how Anakin has an obvious force aptitude., as well as the roots of his Abandonment Issues and Attachment to Padme. In this regard, because of the events of Episode 1... when shit basically hits the fan almost immediately in Episode 2; you're not left going... "Wait, why the fuck is all this happening?!" No of course., had the audience not turned on Jar-Jar (which I think was poorly handled in Episode 1); then we'd have had a bit of a different story, given *HE* was originally intended to be the "Phantom Menace"; the one manipulating events, and even Palpatine. I'd actually be curious to see how such a revelation would've changed the overall story. Still what we got wasn't "Bad" from a Story perspective... it was just poorly executed, directed and acted. I'd argue with a better Editing and Writing Team., one that actually told Lucas when his ideas were just BAD (much like how his Wife used to on the Originals, remember she ended up doing the Editing Cuts; and it was HER Cut they ended up using for the Original Theatrical Release; as opposed to Lucas' awful, boring and long-winded one). Well we'd likely have had better Prequel Trilogy Movies; much like I'd argue The Clone Wars Series did a FAR better job portraying the Story; and the inclusion of Ashoka (despite hated at first by the fandom) ultimately ends up being a KEY element in Anakin's fall from grace. Like we see his behaviour being a little more "Dark Side" and being transformed by the War., but it's his perceived Betrayal by Ashoka; leaving him with nothing but Padme... who he then starts seeing visions of her Death over and over for months; like his Mother, whom remember, he can't stop from happening despite what he believes is his "Incredible Power". When he was taken from his Mother, which the Jedi never went back and released; well he was old enough to understand what was happening, and she was his only family... he also wasn't allowed to see her during his Training., constantly having to wrestle with the contradiction of not being attached to anyone ... while being absolutely compassionate to everyone. Again, as I pointed out; this isn't particularly put across well in the Movies... but these moments are necessary; because they're easily empathised with the audience. Those little moments that all add up to "Break" a person. What I will say is in the Movies his actual "turn" to the Dark Side is ridiculous. It's like "We need to do this for Justice...", "Anakin, try the Dark Side"... "Alright..." You don't see the same subtle fall, and his personality that tends to flirt with the Dark Side; that you see in The Clone Wars Series. That's a failure of the Films in the writing and editing... not the underlying scenario.
"Who cares how Harry Potter became a wizard, its about him defeating Voldemort" "Who cares how Neo became the One, its about him defeating the Matrix" Shit like this is the exact reason, why George Lucas is a succesfull genius, who will be remembered for centuries, and all these trashtalkers are nobodies, who won't be remembered even on the internet.
I like the idea of the bullets as well as showing that this world is older by having technology be less advanced. However, the idea that they went from bullets to blasters in 30 years isn't believable, especially since they can travel easily across the entire Galaxy. Also, jedi not being able to block blaster fire because it's energy is a neat concept, except for the fact that Vader definitely blocks blaster fire with his bare hands in Empire. Sure he's got robot hands at that point, but Luke's lightsaber tore right through his robot hand in RotJ, and we've seen blasters mess up robots an space ships from the start. So that scene always struck me as Vader using the force to demonstrate how "clumsy and uncivilized" blasters are as a weapon.
A. Leander Haynes In Luke's battle with Vader in Empire, Luke nails Vader in the shoulder with his lightsaber, but it doesn't penetrate Vader's armor. So, it still seems to me like Vader was blocking those blaster shots with his robot hand. It wasn't until Luke was able to take a full power swing at Vader that he lopped his hand off. Still, bullets just don't make sense in the context of this universe. The only thing that could have made sense if if they purposefully chose to use projectile weapons because it offered them some kind of combat advantage. Like maybe projectiles will bypass energy shielding, or are harder for jedi to deflect than blaster shots. You're just not going to go from no blasters at all, to every belligerent bar patron having a blaster within three decades.
+A. Leander Haynes It's not like they invented bullets just at the start of the story. Going from bullets to blasters in 30 years is realistic, because if you had bullets one day, and then invented blasters eventually, you have essentially gone from bullets to blasters in 1 day. It's going to happen eventually, and doesn't have to be transitional. The Jedi and Sith probably hide the info from the rest of the public to keep their power over them.
+JaximusDecimus1 Vader's armor had sections made of beskar, Mandalorian iron, which is lightsaber-resistant, that's why the shoulder hit deflected off. Might have been in the palms of the gauntlets as well, or it might have had to do with the hand, or just use of the force to absorb the energy from the shots. A lot of less advanced societies have bullets in Star Wars actually, and yeah, they might bypass some kinds of energy shielding, but... blasters have been around for thousands of years in-universe, as have 'slugthrowers' (guns that... well... shoot metal slugs).
+0Kasada Yes, but this is another universe, so there are guns. Also the reason why they don't have laser weaponry is because they didnt have any lightsaber crystals at the time, thats why they needed to go to the other city to get them and forge the weapons. This was also quite a large assult, so it was probably planned for around 10 years+ (im not familiar with timings in the comics) so getting lasors in 30 years seems good. Also when we were in the 1918s, we revolutionized the technology back then, progressing so rapidly from rifles to tanks to planes in a matter of years, so this seems reachable.
Nice rewrite, although to spice things up a bit I whould have anakin do some heavy breathing after being filled with force energy, breathing in a similar way to darth vader, and have an epic score with a bit of a heroic version of the imperial march playing in the backround of him blasting the ship
Ye but what about the Force Deflection Vader used when Han shot him in Empire strikes back? EDIT: FORGOT TO EDIT THIS. FORCE AWAKENS CANON SAYS YOU CAN CONTROL BLASTER SHOTS WITH THE FORCE. END ARGUMENT
To reiterate, the new Battlefront game has the Emporer deflecting bullets just with the force. As long as you can create energy comparative to a lightsaber beam, blaster shots will be deflected.
+munozali1 Wouldn't make much sense to have built him a half assed suit that was susceptible to blaster fire. I don't recall another example of "force deflection".. Fuck man, I don't know, but blaster resistant materials seems a lot more likely than using the force to dissipate those shots.
That was actually an awesome analogy. This story was great but having bullets was unnecessary. Jedi use their force abilities to dodge or deflect blasters. Lasers are cool, it’s Star Wars.
Wow, I love that bit that you didn't directly say but hinted at. Darth Maul's sister being adopted! WOW! It just shows your excellent attention to detail. I also loved that awkward conversation between Anakin and Padme when they first meet, it's seems just so realistic. And let's not forget that incredible Yoda impression; I just thought it was necessary to mention.
10/10 would watch this over phantom menace , but it seems like the plot is advancing too fast , i will have to watch the next videos to see where you go with this
Orcs should stay in Lord of the Rings. The Clones we got are badass and the order 66 twist was great. Also, bullets... really? I'm pretty sure plasma guns would have been invented long before plasma swords. Seriously, Jedi can stop plasma bolts in mid-air too. We've seen Vader do it. If they're the amazing warriors they're made out to be, wouldn't they think of deflecting blaster bolts on the spot? Especially if they know lightsabers can clash? Anyway I stopped watching after that. Like really, an entire army of Jedi died, not because of a mass betrayal by their troops, but because they didn't realize they could fight back? Especially since we already saw Luke deflect blaster bolts in ROTJ. :/ This is why Lucas made the movies... and did a damn good job of it.
This was an admitted weak point in his story, but the general concept was enjoyable enough and in its own weird way made sense. If you read my book of a comment above, I explain further why the bullet idea is way dumb. A new hyper accurate laser weapon capable of firing past the speed of sound would have made more sense. The bolts would have moved about seven times faster than the ones in the Star Wars universe and therefore even most Jedi would not have had the reflexes to deflect them. Plus bullets existed in the EU, so it isn't anything new to the Star Wars universe. What never made sense to me is that every scum sucking low life in star wars seemed to prefer blasters over the 'slug throwers' as they were called. The massively larger ammunition capacity of the blasters is the only thing that makes that choice make sense, but EVERYONE is going to make the same choice? Maybe recoil or max effective range, lack or recoil, or the fact that lasers shoot straight and bullets fly at an arc and are effected by gravity have something to do with it, but it would still not make since that they didn't diversify their skills with both kinds of weapons. Or...another thing that would have made more sense.
I don't know, I'm not into this story at all. It's too simplistic and not very interesting. In the films the Jedi were defeated by the creation of an army... by an elaborate plot to start a war and overthrown the Jedi. Much more effective than a simple weapon. Say all you want about Jar Jar, but the prequels actually have a very complex plot and introduce a very expansive universe. The prequels are fantastic as is.
It's not plasma blasters. Plasma is a gas therefore it wouldn't do much except floating one meter forward and then starting to fade out. So if it isn't plasma the what is it? Laser blasters!
Dude.. This is freaking incredible. Showing the growth and giving real weight to relationships and tech progress. Blurring the lines between right and wrong. This is genius. Disney needs to give up on what their doing now and turn this into a movie.
@@mroildrinker1845 His research sucks and his ideas are bad. It's amazing sometimes that people can look at the flaws in stories that other people see and then come up with something even stupider.
Absolute rubbish compared to Lucas's. One of the main points of the prequels was to show that the jedi are hypocrites, and that they think the Sith's return impossible. They wouldn't send out hundreds of jedi at first sense.
Force transference with seemingly unlimited range is beyond overpowered. Yoda could have helped Luke defeat Vader in Empire had this been available to him. Plus, this sort of ability getting introduced to give Anakin a taste of raw, corrupting power sort of undercuts a more organic fall away from the Light. Holy shit I hadn’t even seen what Anakin did with this power yet in the video. That anime-like energy blast is Force Unleashed levels of broken.
hold on a sec...I've seen this before...it is v good. But seeing as you have FORCED me to watch it again I'm gonna criticise it. How can technology be advanced enough to create light sabers and interplantary travel, but guns still shoot bullets?
Clickie13 This might be a bit late, but I thought it would still be useful to know. One thing about the Jedi Order is how they really hide all of the knowledge and discoveries they made. This can be seen when Obi-Wan goes to the Jedi Library and you see that they actually supposedly know every single star and planet in the galaxy. This greedy attitude is why in the EU technology stayed the same for centuries. In this case I guess they went all the way to hiding the secrets of their lightsaber.
Clickie13 Yep, exactly. I stopped watching right after he started talking about the bullets. Completely ruins any immersion there might have been for me. It makes no sense whatsoever. The Jedi and the Galactic Republic are supposed to have existed for "over a thousand generations" before the Empire came along. Antiquated technology like bullets would have been outdated long before interstellar travel was even possible... in other words, tens of thousands of years before A New Hope.
Because a lightsaber constantly has a base and power source to maintain the energy source that is not traveling felt in the air, somehow NOT at the speed if light
If i were you, i whould have changed the normal bullets to projectiles that ionize or extremely heat up when you shoot it, that way you can keep the Star Wars feel by making them look like lasers, yet still have that old timey feel to it with people needing to reload bullets in their guns every few shots or so
***** Nothing wrong with that, the prequels (especially Phantom Menace) is really good for real little kids, to get them into star wars. So they do have there place I reckon
Don't think about it.^^ Even though it could be possible. There is an episode of The Clone Wars, where we meet a clone trooper, who has deserted from the army. He married a Twi'lek, and their children are Twi'lek aswell. (And yes, The Clone Wars is still canon)
Why I really like the prequels and I will stand by that, I do think this is pretty good. Maybe with some modifications this would make for a pretty neat old republic trilogy. So overall, pretty neat.
9:05 Works with that deleted Star Wars scene. “I met your father once when I was just a boy, he was a great pilot, if you’ve got half the skill he’s got you’ll do alright.”
I kinda like the story but it doesn't work as the Prequels. I feel like it would be cool to be an Old Republic movie, with all the characters swapped. that way there's more time for tech to be different, and for Jedi culture to change
Being that Star Wars has always been a space fantasy I would keep blasters as opposed to generic guns. But that’s the only thing I would change everything else is pretty well done.
This is stupid. I'm sorry, but I don't understand why people like you are so against the PT. It may not have been the greatest script but it was still great. It made sense of the OT and provided us with more characters to be explored in the EU, Clone wars and Rebels series. It also was an amazing plot with cool characters and themes. To say that you think that you could have created a better story is frankly BS. Whether you like it or not the PT is Star Wars and on a side note I think Disney is wrong for trying to over up the PT because it is what an entire generation grew up with and despite the disappointment that people of the 70s generations felt, it still means a lot to people like me who grew up with these movies and enjoyed them. Rant completed.
+Flyers1298 Did u just say "the Phantom Menace was great"???????????? NO! The Dark Knight was great. Citizen Kane is great. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is great. Phantom Menace is garbage. If PM is great, then what ISNT great? Rant over haha
+BanditIncorporated +BanditIncorporated first of all, what isn't great is this stupid story you thought was better than the original. If you read my comment, I never said the Phantom menace was great. I said the PT was great. Imagine Star Wars without the PT trilogy. Nothing that you think makes sense now would make sense in the story. It would give the story of Star Wars a different feel. It's themes carry over into the OT. I thought as whole the PT was done well and complements the original trilogy.
Yeah u DID say it was great. Technically u said "it might not have been great, but it was still great" uuuuuummmmm. Then in this comment u said "the PT is great" ok no. Even if u hate everything I did (which I'm sure u do) can u honestly say that what George Lucas ended up doing was better? Midiclorians? Jar Jar? A galactic war starting from a tax dispute??? Yr insane if u think that's better. If u honestly think that, yr insane. It's one thing if u have a soft spot for the movies because u saw them when u were a tiny kid. I understand that. But if yr an adult trying to say the are GREAT movies, I'm sorry but that's just crazy.
First of all, "It may not have been the greatest script but it was still great."The script was not necessarily there, but the overall story was. Again, read before you respond.. And you are right, I did hate 99% of everything you did and what George Lucas did was leaps and bounds better. This is why his story is not cut together on youtube. The Midichlorians may have been hard to grasp for people that don't read deeper into the EU, but at the same time I think it makes enough sense. They are essentially used to make biological sense of the force and give the audience a measurement of Anakin's prophesied power in the force. The galactic war was not started entirely by a tax dispute. The war started because of the proposed taxation on trade routes, lack of representation for the public in the senate, the controversial jedi order, the growing separatist movement and ultimately the machinations of Palpatine. I will agree with you with Jar Jar. Fuck Jar Jar. And lastly, if "yr" and adult and writing the way you are, I highly suggest you pick up a book. You can start with The Phantom Menace :)
If you can't understand why The Phantom Menace sucks and why people think it sucks, you should no longer be allowed to have and share an opinion. It is true that Lucas did write a really nice story for the prequels but the execution is a completely and total mess. The acting is bad, the directing is bad, the overuse of CGI is bad, it should be obvious and easy to figure out. You need to never express your opinion on he prequels ever again because it's clear that you're dumb and barely able to function as a productive member of society.
Alderaan, a planet with no weapons, except a vault full of lightsaber crystals and blasters. Also I didn't know that a Dathomirian and a Twi'Lek could be siblings.
Eh, not bad ! Would be better if Anakin crashed the destroyer like that guy in the force unleashed instead of destroying it with a Kamehameha. And that battle were the Jedi are just gunned down, holy shit that was amazing.
+Dylan Murphy Contrived how? He put in a foreshadowing scene of the blasters being created and showed them being used (for those that missed the original trilogy). He also had a scene of Anikin explaining the Jedi advantage against bullets breeding overconfidence in gun fights. Even though he emphasized the setup, the fact that they came back to kill the Jedi so early still caught me by surprise. I thought it was well done twist that got similar results to the Order 66 scene while being *less* contrived.
D-man Bradley A galaxy that has developed lightspeed traver, battle cruisers that traver through space, and laser swords not only have never invented laser guns, but the concept of them is so fucking surprising that skilled jedi knights all get slaughtered because they were expectig bullets to come out of the guns. But when red lasers that would look exactly like bullets anyway fire out, well that's just poposterous, they all become useless now...LOGIC!!!
I got to the part where you said that maul had a sister and you justified using this characters image by saying they look similar....their different species completely.
@ 10:20 ; I completely lost it when I saw Doug Walker's face on that Jedi Master! Glorious! :P Overall, I like these ideas and between these videos and the ones for Belated Media, it only drives home what a shame the actual prequels have such lacking imagination.
Wow. Somebody make this into an animation NOW! In fact, I intend to do just that once I am proficient in animation. If creative liberties end up being taken, I will contact you to discuss this.
Your acapella Star Wars opening is great. Regarding everything else - it's a definitely an opinion on the story that has reason. That is not worse than fanfiction usually is. But it is still "just someone's idea on Star Wars variation", not "What it Should Have Been". And by the way, if you do enough changes to decide bullets are in Star Wars, and change the idea of clone wars, it would make much more sense to change other things as well. For example, not have a jedi council at all, with no hundreds of jedi, make jedi more like historical samurai, serving specific families (like the Organa family), and generally make it more like Chambara which inspired Star Wars. And do things like "not have the thing Obi-Wan wore when he was hiding on Tatooin to be the official jedi uniform". Also, the idea that in 30 years all projectile weapons were replaced by energy weapons is even less realistic and "historic" than energy weapons (though different kinds of them) being used for hundreds of years.
ok this is incredibly stupid, and I couldn't force myself to watch more then 6 minutes of it. the blatsers are the only reason the jedi use lightsabers. bullets would travel too fast for them to react to and even if they did manage to react in time the slug would travel completely through the lightsaber's blade. without losing any momentum and only being reduced by the merest fraction (again because of the speed at which bullets travel). blaster bolts move at an incredibly slow speed and are very inaccurate do to the lack of rifling in the bore. They obviously couldn't stop bullets like neo because they need time to concentrate in order to use the force (not much time granted, but more then enough for them to be killed by any one with a gun). oh and the opening bit where you tried to sing the intro music was absolutely awful, please never do that again.
+clericofchaos1 Wait a sec. I don't like this fan-fic either (i'm just gonna call it that because that's exactly what it is) but correct me if I'm wrong, aren't blaster bolts technically lasers? Thus traveling at the speed of light? I always figured they were just slowed down so we could see them in the movies, unless they're plasma or something like that, so I could be totally wrong. But even still Jedi have been seen to react fast enough to blaster shots while blind (Luke's first training with a lightsaber, plus younglings in Episode II) so wouldn't you think they would still have the ability to react fast enough for bullets? Like I said I think this whole video was retarded too, I'm just curious.
Wyocaster they fire super heated plasma, and no the shots aren't slowed down at all, I believe the official speed is 37fps. most standard handgun ammunition leaves the muzzle at right around 1200fps...so no, they would not be able to react in time.
clericofchaos1 Man are you sure cuz that would be ridiculously slow. The average speed of a MLB pitch is about 90mph which comes out to be 132fps. Even the worst airsoft pistols shoot around 50fps. You sure you don't mean meters per second?
clericofchaos1 Did you not read what I said? 37 feet per second is about 25 miles per hour. that's the speed limit in my neighborhood not the speed of sound. The speed of sound is 1125.33 feet per second. Idk what kind of math you're used to doing but 1125.33fps (or 767.27mph) is a lot more than 37fps. (or 25mph) You sure you didnt mean maybe 370fps? cuz that would make sense but its still a LOT less than the speed of sound.
Ok so interesting thing to note they actually did have bullet projectile weapons even AKs however these where considered old even during old republic era but are still used since there cheep reliable and easily repaired plus they might be able to get past jedi force abilities (This is a theory as bullets go faster than a blaster bolt.).
You know, Ive never been one for fan fiction, and therefore Ive avoided these videos you've made. But checking this out at a whim, Ive found its good. Like REALLY good. Great work bandit! Cant wait to watch episode 2
crabizback it's maybe possible their parents are different species and thus the kids picked a particular trait from one. that usually happens in sci-fi
I don't like that the Jedi seem to control the Republic since they are the ones blocking Palpatine from creating an army. It makes them look like dictators, if anyone should be blocking him it should be the senate
i feel like if you were to start him off as a kid i would want his dad to get killed and then leave his mom and then episode 2 ends with his moms death so he looses more.
Personally, I wasn't a massive fan of how overpowered you made the Jedi and Sith when it came to Force abilities. I did have a couple of other minor gripes, but other than that, it was an interesting "what if?". And what's Proxy doing in literally every scene with Darth Maul?
Yeah this is like the 3rd time I have uploaded this XD First in parts, then as one whole movie. But unfortunately it glitched over a VERY important scene, so I had to upload it all over again for a third time! But it should be all good now haha
***** hey josh, shut the FUCK up.
Keep your negative opinion to yourself
BanditIncorporated Well in the game republic commando there is a line that goes along the lines of "Bullets, i didn't think any one used them anymore" suggesting that there were projectiles in star wars
Why is the nostalgia critic part if the Jedi council?
BanditIncorporated 9:50-10:10 A power like this does exist in the EU, I don't remember the name they gave it but if your interested in learning more the most prominent Jedi user of this ability was named Vodo Siosk Baas. I'm sure google can give you more info. Jedi battle meditation is another ability used to bolster other force users abilities in battle Yoda was considered a great master of this ability.

Not to sound like a jackass or anything, but Luke and Leia were ACTUALLY 19 in A New Hope, not 17.
I did my own prequel rewrite on my channel I'm trying to get people to view & don't really have anyone to promote it to, if someone could check it out i'd appreciate it a lot
I love how most of the comments are just about the bullets or darth talon being hot
Lol
Those were my only complaints about this episode he did.
I mean, the bullets are wierd, and Tallon is pretty hot lol
Yeaaaa, bullets don’t really belong in the SW universe at all. I mean the prequels only happened a few decades before the OT. When one think of Star Wars weapons think think of blasters which shoot lasers and lightsabers which are part of the DNA that s Star Wars
George lucas knew what he was doing 😏
He all wants us to be in the dark side but I know damn well to not fall for lust
I actually like the fact that the technology in Star Wars never seems to change. It's a Fantasy trope. If they would have been using guns, it wouldn't have felt like Star Wars.
I wouldn’t mind.
true, but in star wars 1977 obi wan says that lightsabers are of a more civilized age, actually implying that blasters are a recent invention. That line makes way more sense also if lightsabers pre date blasters by thousands of years
I don't like that they use bullets. I think it should be blasters only. I mean you don't go from bullets to plasma weapons in just 30 years
Bruce Jedi Lee ikr
And in games like KOTOR they had blasters, thousands of years before the clone wars
Why, what are the intermediate steps from one to the other?
Where is the “Ive got a bad feeling about this” and **wilhelm scream**
Daffy Goose First one isn’t required in every movie, pretty sure it wasn’t in Episode V, and the second one would be easy to add in the air/space battle.
@@jasonfrancese8359 yeah, Leia says it before when she steps out of the Millenium Falcon into the mynock cave a.k.a. space slug's mouth. And it has been in every movie so far, or at least variations of it, so I would say that it is required
Isaiah Well, I’m sure it could be added during the planning of the air battle.
Good Point but palpy did Have the man Who would bring order to the force and he quickly adapted to hes suit so palpy should Have been a Lil bit paranoid.....but then again he wasnt known for it
Ok, Lightsabers are around, but Blasters were not invented? WTF
TrakosHD i think you could find similar instances of this sort of thing in the real world
Lightsabers are ancient Jedi weapons. Blasters I assume, were not.

So that star wars fans

we had atomic bombs before the microwave, just as an example.^^
Being that blasters had been around for all time, bullets are a no, but that's not to say solid slugs don't have a place, mandolorians used them effectively against Jedi before.
i think he's going at it from the standpoint of being Lucas in the 90s.. completely unrestricted by any of the expanded universe
I do think I'd still take George's take over this. The story here seems to be hit this point, to this point, to this point, etc. Georges story had more flow with memorable moments. Also bullets should never be a thing in Star Wars.
“Slug” shots exists but they’re very ineffective against lightsabers and other things! So they do exist but in a rare form
Do keep in mind thought that’s this is really just a summary of this story. It could definitely be improved in though
@@thewordoflynx8095 shit now that I think about it just use a shotgun no way they could deflect that with only a lightsaber
Minor spoiler for the force awakens
In the force awakens Kylo Ren easily blocked laser shots with the force...
Unless Chewee is shooting at him :D
BanditIncorporated
He didn't see it coming.
He didn't see Po's shot coming either, but he still blocked it. And chewee roared as loud as he could before he shot, giving him a good 5 seconds or so warning
+Tom Fougstedt You aren't gonna put a spoiler alert for that?
Alyssa P
I put earlier, but I might as well put one, I just assumed if you didn't want spoilers, you wouldn't click show all replies or whatever it is.
+Michael Edwards Bastilla Shannon and a few others, mostly jedi sentinels have a power called battle meditation that boost the abilities of allies.
+Jason Stainkamp that was Bastilla Shan* not not shannon
Yeah, that's right, but it's different technology - firing off blasts of energy should be easier than sustaining them in a blade of restricted length - because an extra component would be needed to keep the blade in place. That would be way more difficult! :P
Interesting. I would make two major changes:
1)Bullets being shot.
XBlueM0ndayX
True, but remember, he was only able to bring the ship down in this story with all of the other Jedi channeling their power to him, like in DBZ when the other characters would sometimes transfer their power to Goku.
*shrug*
Madeline Weill
True, however we barely have space worthy shuttles now, but we have rail guns and laser weaponry, so I would think in the Star Wars universe where they have hyperdrive, plasma swords, and all other manner of advanced technology, they'd have moved on from bullets to energy based weaponry.
They did though. They were called Vibro-Blades. They were the first melee weapon you got in knights of the old republic.
+matafuko sand people do use solid projectile weapons in the movies
+AzaryahTV fair enough. Still, having no blasters at all would spoil it I reckon.
What the actual fudge is this?
Edit: "since the civilian ships are much slower, they'll be much more manoeuvrable." Errr... That's not how manoeuvrability works.
They'll be able to turn in a shorter distance
That’s not how space works.
Faster stuff will go further while turning and a slower vehicle could turn to a direction in a much shorter distance I know my shut have you ever flown a fighter jet versus a n aeroprakt and it's not space they're in the sky
Sir Dankleberry they’re in the sky
@@SirDankleberry and @Sean Bennett YES IT IS
about the bullet/laser reasoning (light spoiler for episode 7):
Kylo Ren literally stops a laser blast in mid-air and holds it there, so the idea that they cant block lasers doesnt really fit anymore. But also, if they have laser swords, Im pretty sure they could have laser guns too
+Nick D To be fair, this was before Force Awakens, can't really blame him for that.
+sm4carnageihope very true, I was just pointing it out
+sm4carnageihope Darth Vader blocked blisters in Episode 5 so he doesn't really have an excuse.

Couldn't the bullets be explained by how it's a Sith base and would therefore would have weapons built to counter lightsabers? You could have the blasters be larger, louder and more prone to overheating to show how the technology developed over time
bullets don't exists in cannon star wars. It's a space movie, only lasers!!
@@mugo3457not true, some less technologically developed planets still use bullets

"Wait, why the fuck is all this happening?!"
No of course., had the audience not turned on Jar-Jar (which I think was poorly handled in Episode 1); then we'd have had a bit of a different story, given *HE* was originally intended to be the "Phantom Menace"; the one manipulating events, and even Palpatine.
"Alright..."
You don't see the same subtle fall, and his personality that tends to flirt with the Dark Side; that you see in The Clone Wars Series.
That's a failure of the Films in the writing and editing... not the underlying scenario.
"Who cares how Harry Potter became a wizard, its about him defeating Voldemort"
"Who cares how Neo became the One, its about him defeating the Matrix"
Shit like this is the exact reason, why George Lucas is a succesfull genius, who will be remembered for centuries, and all these trashtalkers are nobodies, who won't be remembered even on the internet.
At least he wasn’t in charge of the Sequels.
I wonder if Vader had technologically cutting edge armour like he had with his tie fighter advanced he flew.
I like how all I had to do was type in “how the prequels should have been” and UA-cam already knew which series I was referring to😂
No Jar jar!? i am offended...
RavnoUK finally no jar jar becuase the comedy no one wanted and his acent sounds like starfire from teen titans go but dumber

Jar Jar was a Sith Lord who trained Snoke
RavnoUK you should be happy no one likes jar jar so he wasn’t put into the story

How many kit fistos do the Jedi order have? If he the jango fett of this fanfic, he has been cloned and mass produced to fight
You can say that for a lot of the Jedi in this.
Kit fisto dies twice so id say 2 if not 3
Nice rewrite, although to spice things up a bit I whould have anakin do some heavy breathing after being filled with force energy, breathing in a similar way to darth vader, and have an epic score with a bit of a heroic version of the imperial march playing in the backround of him blasting the ship
9:28 holy crap. He predicted life force transfer from episode nine.
White Rose Cicero In all fairness, it is a fairly obvious power to give to the Jedi. Always felt to me like it could be done.
This made me realise that maybe we didn't appreciate George Lucas enough
Look at his episode 2 and 3 reworks before you judge him so harshly
People appreciated him just fine- he shit on the fans with his shitty prequel storyline years later
in all fairness , anything that was shit was this video
Some people don't understand that this took lots of time. Good work
Dat Boi Just because it took a lot of time doesn’t mean this is any good
Communism took decades to develop and it led to the death of almost 100 million people. So is communism by your logic good as well?
Some people sit on the toilet for an hour, doesn't mean the result is good
13:47 says it all, Darth Mauls sister...
The Phantom Menace took even longer, that must make it great work.
Luke was 19 in A New Hope.
+Darth Sibistine I thought he was 20?
+Irving Ramirez I thought he was 22
Lucas French Nope
Wasn't he still in highschool? doesn't his uncle mention something about that?
+Austin Wiebe space high school is probably differwent
Ye but what about the Force Deflection Vader used when Han shot him in Empire strikes back?
EDIT: FORGOT TO EDIT THIS. FORCE AWAKENS CANON SAYS YOU CAN CONTROL BLASTER SHOTS WITH THE FORCE. END ARGUMENT
+Sengial Pretty sure his armour was made of blaster resistant durasteel, wasnt use of the force but thats according to EU.
+Ash Shroom Were his gloves blaster resistant too? The EU has some good stories, and some pretty bad ones also.
+Ash Shroom in the eu luke said that in cloud city vader used force absorb and not the durasteek if his suit and/or force deflection
Not bad, but the bullets thing is the Midichlorians of your prequels
This is why Lucas made the movies... and did a damn good job of it.
Aaron I've always thought the plot of the prequels were really good it was the execution that failed movies
He never stated thy couldn't deflect plasma bolts he said thy couldn't stop them using the force
I love how sarcastic you've made Palpatine.
Dude.. This is freaking incredible. Showing the growth and giving real weight to relationships and tech progress. Blurring the lines between right and wrong. This is genius. Disney needs to give up on what their doing now and turn this into a movie.
Wave Potter
Too late they can't

What about in a New hope when Luke was getting trains on the falcon
@I Eat Ass who? I can’t actually physically see who you’re pointing to (Stewie)
@@mroildrinker1845 His research sucks and his ideas are bad. It's amazing sometimes that people can look at the flaws in stories that other people see and then come up with something even stupider.
...yeah i liked seeing all the "trains" luke was getting
Devan Illusive He blocked it with his metal arms. That’s why there were sparks.
Toby Nunley They were blocked by a lightsaber, that Jedi learn how to do in this movie.
Absolute rubbish compared to Lucas's. One of the main points of the prequels was to show that the jedi are hypocrites, and that they think the Sith's return impossible. They wouldn't send out hundreds of jedi at first sense.
RIP QUI-GON
The best Jedi in this ERA

I completely agree
Antiquated technology like bullets would have been outdated long before interstellar travel was even possible... in other words, tens of thousands of years before A New Hope.
chadrsmalley But aside the bullet thing (there could be other technologies, dont has to be bullets imo) thats very interesting and entertaining.
Because a lightsaber constantly has a base and power source to maintain the energy source that is not traveling felt in the air, somehow NOT at the speed if light
I love your whole trilogy bandit. You did a great job
Although I enjoy the prequels, it makes me depressed how adventurous and fantastic the prequels could have been if they went this route.
LOL! What the hell is Nostalgia Critic doing as a Jedi?

When did Nostalgia Critic become a Jedi Councelor?
If i were you, i whould have changed the normal bullets to projectiles that ionize or extremely heat up when you shoot it, that way you can keep the Star Wars feel by making them look like lasers, yet still have that old timey feel to it with people needing to reload bullets in their guns every few shots or so
I'd like to make a complaint. You've made my soul hurt that this isn't what we got from Lucas - I'm sad now.
Mark Walker Mwarhahahahahaha! Feed me yr misery! :D actually that's probably Lucas was saying as he wrote it XD
***** Nothing wrong with that, the prequels (especially Phantom Menace) is really good for real little kids, to get them into star wars. So they do have there place I reckon
How can Maul and Talon be siblings if one is a zabrak and the other is a twi'lek?
Don't think about it.^^ Even though it could be possible. There is an episode of The Clone Wars, where we meet a clone trooper, who has deserted from the army. He married a Twi'lek, and their children are Twi'lek aswell. (And yes, The Clone Wars is still canon)
He said they look somewhat similar, that is why he used her.
You heard him she basically became a whole different character
Those children weren't biologically his; he was their step-father, not their biological father.
Kubinda12345 Hm, I must have missed that or I forgot about it. It has been a while since I last saw that episode.
Love this idea! Keep doing your thing bro👊🏼
THIS IS REALLY GOOD! Well done man
I kinda like the story but it doesn't work as the Prequels.
I don't like the energy blast blowing up the ships. I think he should just like use his hands and rip them apart. More epic on screen.
Rad Vocals Yeah that would 've been a lot better, and you could add the angry face of Anakin as he violently rips them apart
I had more fun watching this that I did actually watching the Phantom menace
I really like everything besides the bullet/Blaster thing
you ruined it with the bullets
Yeah, I had no idea SW fans were so religiously devoted to the blaster. I mean, the lightsabre sure. But the blaster? That was a surprise
Hey, still better than the two hours of 1.5 star swill that the world was forced to sit through in 1997.
1999. There were positives in the movie
BanditIncorporated You could of said a slugthrower which is like a bullet but more of a shotgun spread when fired.
BanditIncorporated , ' A Ancient Weapon has no chance for a good blaster ' okay I actually love blasters tbh
Alderaan, a planet with no weapons, except a vault full of lightsaber crystals and blasters.
Also I didn't know that a Dathomirian and a Twi'Lek could be siblings.
thesupersonicstig hey its head cannon let it be lmfao
@The SNES Man kinda racist just assuming they are the same because they share colors
Adopted siblings
Star wars racism lol jk
Eh, not bad ! Would be better if Anakin crashed the destroyer like that guy in the force unleashed instead of destroying it with a Kamehameha.
And that battle were the Jedi are just gunned down, holy shit that was amazing.
Amazingly stupid and contrived? Yes.
D-man Bradley Perhaps "contrived" is a less fighting adjective than I thought...I'll go with hysterically illogical instead.
Dylan Murphy Hmm, made sense to me. What part was illogical?
D-man Bradley A galaxy that has developed lightspeed traver, battle cruisers that traver through space, and laser swords not only have never invented laser guns, but the concept of them is so fucking surprising that skilled jedi knights all get slaughtered because they were expectig bullets to come out of the guns. But when red lasers that would look exactly like bullets anyway fire out, well that's just poposterous, they all become useless now...LOGIC!!!
Jedi: You are on this council, you are granted the rank of master, Congratulations Master Nostal'Gia Kritic
Nostal'Gia Kritic: ...Okay then
I got to the part where you said that maul had a sister and you justified using this characters image by saying they look similar....their different species completely.

@ 10:20 ; I completely lost it when I saw Doug Walker's face on that Jedi Master! Glorious! :P
Overall, I like these ideas and between these videos and the ones for Belated Media, it only drives home what a shame the actual prequels have such lacking imagination.

This is amazing! Someone should turn this into an animated series!
Where's Jar Jar?? You are missing the whole point.
Galvanaut71
Jar Jar Abrams is the key to all this
I like how you made Nostalgia critic a Jedi High Council member
I bet its so he can kill him in episode 3
Wow. Somebody make this into an animation NOW! In fact, I intend to do just that once I am proficient in animation. If creative liberties end up being taken, I will contact you to discuss this.
I don't care what people say, The Phantom Menace is a great film and far better than any of the new Star Wars movies.
The Phantom Menace is a boring ass film with the Darth Maul fight being the only interesting part
Cryoraptor still better than ma-Rey sue
@@kappers3773 I'm not disputing that, most fan-fics are better than the new trilogy
Cryoraptor yeah but I mean the actual movie, not the fanfic
@@kappers3773 I mean that most fanfics in general are better than the new trilogy, not TPM fanfics. TPM the movie is better than the new trilogy
Actually Luke was 19 years old(or a few months away from it) IN A NEW HOPE since REVENGE OF THE SITH takes place 19 years before a new hope.
I had to stop the video at bullets.
badpope same this is really bad
ok this is incredibly stupid, and I couldn't force myself to watch more then 6 minutes of it. the blatsers are the only reason the jedi use lightsabers. bullets would travel too fast for them to react to and even if they did manage to react in time the slug would travel completely through the lightsaber's blade. without losing any momentum and only being reduced by the merest fraction (again because of the speed at which bullets travel). blaster bolts move at an incredibly slow speed and are very inaccurate do to the lack of rifling in the bore.
Wyocaster nope, and it doesn't seem that slow to me. it's well over the speed of sound, and rifle ammunition goes much faster.
clericofchaos1 Did you not read what I said? 37 feet per second is about 25 miles per hour. that's the speed limit in my neighborhood not the speed of sound. The speed of sound is 1125.33 feet per second. Idk what kind of math you're used to doing but 1125.33fps (or 767.27mph) is a lot more than 37fps. (or 25mph) You sure you didnt mean maybe 370fps? cuz that would make sense but its still a LOT less than the speed of sound.
Ok so interesting thing to note they actually did have bullet projectile weapons even AKs however these where considered old even during old republic era but are still used since there cheep reliable and easily repaired plus they might be able to get past jedi force abilities (This is a theory as bullets go faster than a blaster bolt.).
that intro was so obnoxious lol i love it
You know, Ive never been one for fan fiction, and therefore Ive avoided these videos you've made. But checking this out at a whim, Ive found its good. Like REALLY good. Great work bandit! Cant wait to watch episode 2

So Maul, a zabrak, is related to Talon, a Twilek?
crabizback Like he said. Fan fiction.
Mr. Dystopian but it should make effort to fit in with the universe.
crabizback
I guess he could have made her a female zabrak, instead.
crabizback it's maybe possible their parents are different species and thus the kids picked a particular trait from one. that usually happens in sci-fi
+crabizback She's also supposed to also be a zabrak
I don't like that the Jedi seem to control the Republic since they are the ones blocking Palpatine from creating an army. It makes them look like dictators, if anyone should be blocking him it should be the senate
You missed Darth Jar Jar.
i feel like if you were to start him off as a kid i would want his dad to get killed and then leave his mom and then episode 2 ends with his moms death so he looses more.

If you can't use the force to protect yourself from a lightsaber, then how did Asajj Ventress do that to Count Dooku in the clone wars?
Personally, I wasn't a massive fan of how overpowered you made the Jedi and Sith when it came to Force abilities. I did have a couple of other minor gripes, but other than that, it was an interesting "what if?".
