I live in the south of Thailand 11 degrees here, nothing like that. 25 degrees is normal, the weather is still over 20 degrees at night. I've been to Chiang Rai when the weather was 12 degrees. I don't like this cold. Reminds me of how difficult life would be for Europeans living in sub-zero temperatures. I don't really understand this because I'm a tropical person.
I know you feel fresh and comfortable at Nan because I've been there before. Tambon Sapan is awesome. I give 10/10. Thank you for the video. It reminds me of the honeymoon time in Thailand that was great.
The Dry Season came extremely late this year, normally it would've been at the beginning of November and sometimes back in the day it can start getting chilly in mid October, but this year it was late November. I hope the season lasts long, but as it continously getting warming my hope is dying fast. I think most of us natives would agree that we hated Summer with undying passion.
Well com to Thailand out off Bangkok it’s okay for weather but if in Bangkok it’s very hot always 😆😄😄 anyway nice video have a great day in Thailand 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Nice video. It doesn’t take much to freeze on a bike when it’s cold. Can you talk about how you learned to speak Thai so fluently? Did you go to school, or learn from living there?
I taught myself how to read and write Thai. As for speaking, I got what I learned from books and went out to practice with Thai people - I obviously had to make a lot of adjustments on the fly due the books differing substantially from how Thais actually speak! I’ll make a video about it at some point.
Thanks Mark! I’ve been learning how to read and speak Thai myself for a few years. I definitely believe it helps if you can read/write Thai before you get too far into speaking Thai. Looking forward to more videos from you, enjoying the content!
I'd say there are 3 seasons in Thailand:- 1. Not as hot but still hot. 2. Now it's hot and then rain nuts alternatively. And 3.... Well it's freakin' hot uww.. ow .. aww.

Thanks Mark. I enjoyed the video. There are certainly some very nice mountainous spots in the north. Nice drone footage. I can agree with the policy of the guest houses in relation to drone flying around their property/resort as long as it's presented as a polite request and not as a hard and fast rule or legal restriction (notwithstanding legal restrictions and licence requirements for some drones). I think most drone pilots would be respectful of that. As you say, the kind of distant aerial footage you are taking couldn't at all be perceived as invasive,... and the more elevated shots look quite awesome.
Yeah, I have a DJI which means the firmware won’t let me fly in restricted areas (it simply won’t take off and a notification pops up). So it’s always about being polite which I try to be!
Cool video I know about how cold it gets when riding a motorcycle. I recently rode my aprilia motorcycle back in Philadelphia usa in 40 degree weather with jeans a sweatshirt and jacket and still froze my a#% off
You’re right, Bangkok and Pattaya only ever drop down to maybe like 18°C at night for a few days in winter. There may be colder days on recorded but typically, low 20s is night time winter temperature with day time going high 20s to low 30s.
It’s technically the “winter” but my guess is that the coldest weather has already passed. It should be absolutely perfect - maybe average of 28-32 in the day time.
Drone laws are in place to ensure the safe operation of drones and to protect the safety of people and property on the ground. Drones have the potential to cause accidents or injuries if they are not operated safely, so it is important to have laws in place to regulate their use. Additionally, drones can be used for a variety of purposes, including for commercial use, and it is important to have laws in place to ensure that drones are used responsibly and ethically. In Thailand, drones are regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and operators must obtain a permit and register their drones before flying. There are also rules and regulations that must be followed when flying drones, including flying at an altitude of no more than 120 meters and maintaining a distance of at least 30 meters from people and property. It is also prohibited to fly drones over certain areas, such as military bases and airports, and to use drones to take photographs or video of people without their consent. Hope this clarifies things for you, Mark!
I know these laws. I have all certificates from CAAT (and you also need from the NBTC too). I always fly within the LAW but some guest houses don’t let you fly even though they have no legal right to stop you (obviously, they have the right to ask you to leave because they’re private establishments). The point I’m making in this video is what people think when someone tries to stop you flying EVEN IF you’re not breaking the law AND you’re being respectful of others. It’s a difficult one because I understand that a lot of people who fly drones are assholes haha
I have all the latest maps of military and commercial fly zones and all the latest firmware. It’s legal to fly in most of Nan (including Bo Kluea). In fact, I’ve actually flown my drone with the military and the police (they were driving past and I let them fly it for fun).
Your Thai skills gives me goosebumps. It’s very accurate tone and intonation😂
Thank you 😁

You can't fly your drone becouse Nan province (Bo Klua) is near frontier of Thailand /Laos. It 's about military security and considerateness to Laos
