Went to Guanajuato City a month ago and I was impressed! It’s so beautiful and romantic. The vibe of the city was amazing. I definitely want to return one day.
I spent five weeks there in 2005 in a summer law study program at the University of Guanajuato. A great memory. I lived just below the Via Panoramica and would run on it almost every morning. In the afternoon I would walk 25 minutes downhill to the university and in the evening 25 minutes back up. Somehow I never got (too) lost.
Baca Brother good morning thanks for complimenting the music. We work very hard to get music in our vlogs that go with the places we visit. For example, in in Zacatecas we used Chicago bands for tamborazo. In San Luis we used norteño music, Veracruz we used traditional huapango, and so on, it’s the toughest part of our video sometimes but we’re very nit picky when it comes to music.
Next time you come to guanajuato I recommend to check out the mummies museum! Glad to see this video brought me back many memories, thank you! shout out from oregon 🌲
Hermoso Guanajuato! The callejones, colonial construction, colors, people, museo de las momias, monumento al Pípila, las Callejoneadas, la universidad, awwww thanks for showing so much of it in such a short amount of time you guys.
@@EatBailaTravel Not so many. The Mexican population here in Massachusetts is low but there plenty more Mexicans in Providence, Rhode Island. A lot of them I know so far are from Guerrero and Puebla.
Yay! You’re going to love it! We missed a good amount of things... off the top of my head I know we missed the mummy museum, purgatory museum, a couple of extravagant churches and more food options.
Wonderful video of what may be the most beautiful city in Mexico. We shall be following in your footsteps soon - flying to Guanajuato airport on Friday morning from Tijuana. Saludos!
Awesome ! Even though it lasted almost 18 minutes I wanted to see more of this video from one of my favorite towns 🇲🇽👍. If you decide to go back to Guanajuato, the birthplace of Diego Rivera, I believe they turned his childhood home into a museum, I wonder if it’s open though. 👍. There is also a nice museum, Halondiga, where you can learn a lot about the Mexican independence movement and the story behind El Pipila,- pronounced differently than how you said it 😄🤟🏽🇲🇽 Saludos 🌞
We felt it was super long but we gave it a shot anyway. We will start our research on Diego and hopefully we can find the right people to help get a good video going. Thank you for watching we will definitely check out the museums next time we visit!
Hey guys (btw, i go by my middle name, ‘Lane’) , ive recently started commenting on some of your content. I love your sweetness, down to earthness; your good hearts and good intentions ( i hope rhat extends to gay oeople,?too ❤️). Thank you for being lovers of all people. Because of how the pandemic changed my perspective, I'm taking early retirement in 2023 and want to move to central Mexico and so im glad you’re taking a look at Guanajuato! I love the energy universities give a city (Jenny- you can pursue your careers dreams here, too - doesnt gavevto be Queretaro). Btw, the tunnels are from the xitiesvearly mining days, later converted to car travel- so cool)
Hi Lane! Jenny here. Catching up on comments 😁 AND GOSH, OF COURSE we have love for ALL LOVE ❤️🧡💛💚💙!! The city of Guanajuato really is cooler than we'd imagined. It's not our top choice, but also not ruling it out as an option ;)
We actually spent a day there but only to get to be able to get closer to Mexico for a connecting flight!. We might be back very soon! It looked really nice and the weather was super comfortable.
@@EatBailaTravel Querétaro has a lot of money. New modern neighborhoods, New Shopping Malls, Nice Restaurants and Low Crime. A lot of Expats are moving there for those reasons. 👍
food first! the fruit there must be so excellent. or do they export the best of it? I remember that being the case in Ecuador - all the best produce was exported so the fruit the average person got there was good, but not as awesome as you would expect.
Luckily in Mexico fruit is fresh and always available as long as it's in Season. We hear that happens a lot with so many different countries. We hear the same is happening with Mexico with avocados. The high demand of avocados globally raising the prices for locals to consume.
Just started watching and love the content! Question hope you guys can answer but for those of us who are wanting to move to Mexico how do you pay for your expenses? Is it all income from your vlogs? You usually find content for those who plan on retiring but not young couples like yourselves so curious on how you guys make ends meet. Thanks!
Hi Jerry! Nice to have you on board and loving our content! We look forward to providing more relatable and useful content. We both started to save for a couple of years to make this transition, especially the covid year! We wish we made enough income from vlogs but the truth is we don't. After 10 months of doing youtube we were able to monetize after 8 months and in 2 months we have probably made 125$. We are only getting started so it's understandable. Jenny works remotely and I Kevin quit my job to do research and to manage the youtube channel. Also, soon we will be posting what our daily lives look like and how much we spend. Believe it or not spend less money in mexico than chicago with a happier lifestyle! saludos!
@@EatBailaTravel thank you! And yes that would be awesome! Would love some content on how you guys made possible to make the move to give ideas and inspiration to others. Thanks again!
Hola! No we travel by bus and colectivos mostly. Every once in a while we might take a flight depending on the next destination. But overnight/long distance coach buses have been our main ride 👍🏽
