The sad thing is that diets don’t work long term, the second stray even a little the weight comes back. I battled anorexia for eight years, living in hospitals and treatment being force fed through a tube down my nose and surgically placed in my stomach. I spent years working with nutritionist and specialists, and they all say the same thing…moderation and active lifestyle. You learn not to say certain foods are good or bad because you need to know that you can eat a couple cookies and trust that your body won’t turn against you. I’ve been in recovery for 13 years and I still battle that voice in my head that tries to tell me I’m not thin enough, or I can’t eat something. Years of destroying my body leave me at 36 and in intestinal failure with a stomach that doesn’t work. I had GI issues before my ED, but the years of starving, purging, laxatives, and not drinking fluids damaged it even further to the point I will need a transplant one day. I get most of my food and fluids through a tube in my intestine and a central IV line in my chest. I’m glad that I get to share my story and mentor kids because the onset of eating disorders is as low as 6 now, they’ve had to open children’s treatment centers. I know I got serious, but I love you guys and think your vids are great!
I'm really sorry to hear the struggles you dealt with and still are along with the newer issues. I have had IBS -D since I can remember, literally. As an adult when I get sick with really anything I don't eat and drink very little until I think I can but in small portions and quit again if my IBS flares up. I've been struggling since mid March with having the "d" issue and it's not going away. I'm terrified of having CDiff or something else! Central lines suck and they're painful and can easily become infected and I've had them but due to other reasons. Keep fighting your fight and thank you for sharing your story and wanting to help as many people as possible with your story. God bless!
Thank you for sharing your story. I've been struggling with disordered eating my whole life. I'm 24 and and starting to feel my body breaking down on me. I feel so stuck though as food is expensive and I hate cooking so having to deal with eating so much a day for the rest of my life sounds soooo fucking exhausting. It's already a chore. I guess I just wanted to share my own problem and any advice or kind words would be nice. ^^;
Hey, some life advice - be careful what you wish for and which diets you make fun of! I used to secretly question people who “couldn’t eat” gluten, dairy, ect… And I once said to my friend, “I wish bread made me sick.” Now, I have celiac disease and a progressing dairy intolerance… it’s expensive. 🙄
My 17 year old just had his first job-related encounter with the MOST stereotypical artistic vegan. The exchange was about a menu item... the senior employee to the customer: We only have that [vegan] item seasonally. Vegan: "So what, are VEGANS only seasonal?" and huffed out of the store. 🤣
2:11 as a wrestler who has lost 10 pounds in 2 days, I can verify that this is partially true. Eat very little (I usually go with a Starkist Tuna packet) on the first day and nothing on the second day, sleep as much as you can (preferably near a heater with lots of layers and blankets), drink lots of water for the first 36 hours, and then get rid of the excess water weight in the last 12 by running in a sweatshirt/sweatpants for 30-45 minutes. If you do it like that, you won’t be holding yourself up on a coatrack like Jake was.
I lost 45lbs ins in a year and kept it off limiting, serving size, calories, carbs, yoga, a lot of walking. Just listening to my body and medical stuff. But everybody wants to know what diet I followed. They refused to believe I can't just tell them some diet fad that works. It's common basics and listening to your body and what works for you. Fad diets don't work, but people don't want to hear this...sigh.
They want the easy way out. They don’t want to wait a year to lose the weight; they don’t actually want to be healthy. It’s sad but true. Kudos to you for making major lifestyle changes and getting healthy. 💟⭐️
Fun fact: their life expectancy wasn’t actually 30, it’s just that 30 was the average age of death, including infant mortality. So if you excluded the babies from the statistic, the life expectancy would be about 70-80 years
Ok…I lost it at the very beginning but just peed my pants with the fasting diet!😅😅😅😂😂😂oh god! Diarrhea and diet! 😅😂😂😅oh you guys! Your neck sticking out! Omg! 😂😂😂oh this just is the best! Mom! Omg! Wonder bread and bologna sandwich! 😂😂😂pit bull in Mexico!😂😂😂😂
Hilarious episode! Love all your work. Could you guys add a slide before the video starts with the title? My wife is never paying attention when I start them and I have to explain what the video is about while it's playing.
I’ve literally been EVERY type of these dieters! You guys are SO on point and so funny. Love you guys!!! You and Trey’s are my go-to everyday channels, just LOVE your videos!❤❤❤
My family is exactly like the justifier and the baby steps guy. Every time the cake or pie or candy from the last holiday or birthday is gone, it's time for the next one. And hey, it's rude to be thinking about your health when someone else is slowly poisoning you with carbs, right? We'll catch up on our diets after the holidays. No need to go too fast
I lost 50 pounds of fat from reducing carbs and sugar . Funny part is that I didn't even reduce my calories. I guess the sugar and carbs was messing with my ability to burn fat. I never count calories nowadays and I finally feel free from diets . Change your lifestyle by getting away from PROCESSED foods and a lot of sugar. Don't obsess over certain food groups. Every food group is healthy if it's natural and real.
It's beneficial to do 48 hour dry fasts twice a month..and 72 hour dry fasts 2 or 3 times a year... This helped me get healthier from my experience. This is what I do. You should never overdo fasting and fast too much for too long.......
I just count my calories, but I've noticed that on fasting days it is nearly impossible to go over my calorie goal in one meal. I guess if I were getting burger King or something that wouldn't be the case, but that just shows me that intermittent fasting can work pretty well if you eat fruits and vegetables!
Same. At least it's made my stomach shrink (after having stretched it out for years). So, I don't feel like I need more food. It doesn't feel like I'm depriving my body at all (tbf it did in the beginning) and I feel more energetic without all that food digesting all the time. So, I lost 15 pounds over 3 months. Now, intermittent fasting just maintains my new weight. I need to add an exercise routine to lose more. 😅 Been too busy to though, but I haven't quit the intermittent fasting for a whole year now.
The thing for me is “going on a diet” suggests that it is going to be temporary. Which means if I go on one when I finish the diet I’m going to go right back to eating what I was before and gaining weight back. Changing your diet and trying to change long term eating habits is more sustainable and realistic. That’s not easy to do, but it sounds a lot better to me than trying to completely eliminate one thing or only eating certain foods. 🤷🏻♀️
Jake sticking his neck out killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
Yes more of Jake sticking his neck out. 😅. Laugh out loud funny.
Put that image beside brad’s face at the end of the video 😂
YES. I almost cried 🤣
"Can you tell from the side?"
Yes! 😂😂😂spit out my drink laughing- especially that side view 🙌🏻
"Trust the process"💀💀💀

Thank you so much for your honesty! Diet culture is super toxic, and I really wish more people would get help
Aww!! I’m so sorry.
Best of luck to you. So sorry you went through all of that.

Same! That's going way back. I had no idea there were other types of lettuce until I moved out on my own. I haven't eaten iceberg since.
Omg yes that's my idea of a salad. Plus French fries and chicken and lots of cheddar.
Same
“See you in a little bit.”, said to the cashew. BAHAHAHAHA!😹😹😹😹
Jake holding onto that coat rack for dear life 😂👏

Jake,, wear vertical stripes, and stand in the back of photos. 🤣👏
Our lineman coach would print out pictures of pancakes and stick them to our football lockers after each game lol. I get it!!!
I'm sitting here eating a bowl of Lay's Sour Cream and Onion chips and realizing I am all of these dieters.

The summer crash diet. Bikini time. 😂
Oh man i love dieting with a ranch, crouton, bacon, cheese salad! Especially to start off a pizza buffet!
He said abc family. 😂😂😂 Good times..
Oh man, I fully respect dieters and vegetarians and vegans, but MAN it’s tough choosing a place to eat when there are multiple of them. 😖
Just eat the vegans then?
@@deathpyre42 🤣
@@deathpyre42 I'm vegan and that's our main source of protein. Other vegans. It's really tough as the population of vegans is shrinking fast
@@ewanwiebe Because people are eating them? Lol
@@GrimmFLawless yeah it's a serious problem. We might run out soon
The end is EVERYTHING!!!’ 😂
This is sadly so relatable 😅😂
Watching this at work at not being able to laugh out loud was soo hard I'll have to rewatch later so I can laugh😍
This is so true 😂😂😂 we all have been in one of those stages of dieting!!

Thank you! Exactly. The minute I stopped eating bread, pasta, and rice…and limited sugar, the weight came off. I don’t count calories either.
I’m ravenous like a pit bull in Mexico
“Sugar before water…losing weight and years of life” 😂😂😂 oh man, that got me from the start. Hilarious!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😮

Starting the carnivore diet “around January 6th”. 😂😂😂😂😂
Love this guys !! You’re killin it😂😂🤣💎
Whoever had the most pancakes after a game, coach would take out for pancakes. Kinda like a rich getting richer situation lol
ironically the baby steps dieter is the most successful
"see you in a little bit" LMBO!!!
" ash-cash" !!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Dude..don’t forget to butter that wonder bread before you slap on that bologna!!
"Aspartame cashew" 🤣🤣🤣
Baby steps dieter here, down 50 pounds in 2 years. Don’t hate 💪
I find myself always smiling while watching your videos. Love the content
"yea I started about 8 months ago, January 6th" lmao top accurate
Just avoid seed oils, soy, gluten, artificial sweeteners, and all those random "ingredients" that are hard to pronounce
This really made me laugh! 🤣 Thanks!
Woke parent will probably be forever fav but this one is a close second 😂 We love you guys
You had to do Legion like that? I like their stuff!
Genius
Aspartame cashews. Haha!
There are also the “healthy gut” dieters. Healthy intestines=healthy body
