I've only ever heard Kerry Godliman on radio comedy shows / quizzes / panel shows before, so it's good to put a face to the voice at last - thank you for sharing this comedy clip, Angela.😊 If you like _radio_ comedy, and, if you can access any, try (via UA-cam) "I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue" - the regular chairman is English comedian Jack Dee, known for being stoic and not laughing - but as he's aged, he smiles & laughs more than when he first started out, & he's _very_ witty. This very popular, very funny show has been on air (per seasons) since around 1972, and has two groups of two comedians per group, sat either side of Jack, answering questions, taking part in 'odd' word games, singing "One Song to the Tune of Another" - not easy but very funny! Plus other games which make the whole show extremely enjoyable, and 'fly past' way too quuckly - just around 30 minutes per show, on weekly. It's my all time favourite radio comedy show and I've veen listening to it - probably on & off - since it first started in the '70's, with the first chairman, now sadly late, Humohrey Lyttleton (he was fairly well-known in Britain, for playing the trumpet in popular jazz bands of the 50's & 60's) Anyway, I hope this may spur your interest in listening to Kerry on the radio, where she was a frequent, though _not_ a "regular" guest, along with other well-known comedians, comedy-play writers, actors etc... Some names you could /should look up are: Jeremy Hardy, Bob Mills, Graeme Garden, Barry Cryer, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Sarah Millican, Kathryn Ryan* (she's Canadian*) Jo Caulfield...too many to recall here!!😊i really hope you get to listen to it and enjoy it, and it will / should help you understand not only British humour even more, but also a fair bit about Britain & British life, too. First thing I ever saw her on was Taskmaster season 7. But I love this stand up. I can't help but be reminded of how many people say women comedians aren't funny when I watch this routine, as this is the third time I've seen this routine and it still makes me laugh. She's brilliant.

i will make an admission right now, the first time i heard of "adult colouring books" to my shame i got the wrong end of the stick and said "i am guessing you use a lot of pink with them" i then had to have it explained they are not ADULT they are FOR ADULTS which is completely different so i will hold my hand up to that one i misunderstood it
Great reaction. This is a very well-written and performed routine. Her ability as an actor really helps her perform the role and do the other characters she encounters with aplomb. She is very funny - there is something of a female Micky Flanagan in her delivery and I mean that as a compliment - the ability to turn life experience into a quick-fire, honest, slightly exaggerated version of reality and do so with so many identifiable and pointed asides is a rare skill. And she's an excellent actor.
She does have a London accent, but London has several different London accents. Never been there myself so I don't really know which part of London hers is. (EDIT: Well she did say, so yeah Middlesex)

It vanished as an actual County over 50 years ago but remained as a postal County for a lot longer, many places retaining it as a postal address but now in another County or a London Borough. Staines became part of Surrey but was still referred to as Staines, Middlesex.

Hid in some kind of slum flat in Newcastle when I was 6 after being kidnapped for 3 months. I'm over sharing now. Fuck it though, I'm drunk and this is the worst time of the year

Then you have Have I got News for you, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown, Mock the Week, The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year (All years from the 80s up) Big Fat Quiz Of Everything, Task Master. The list goes on.
Kerry is also a serious actress as well as a comedienne in tv dramas & movies . Hats in the UK are not a big thing for women unless it's for a wedding . Baseball Hats are mostly worn by boys/men under the age of 30 not so much for girls although a few do . She's from Perivale Middlesex which is just outside of London .
I'm from Middlesex and it's on the western outskirts of London and a lot of people from London like my parents who were bombed during the blitz moved out to those areas like Ruislip. Yep, her accent is spot on. I used to talk with that accent but I gradually lost it and learned to speak all proper and shit....innit. ✌️❤️🇬🇧
If you can’t make time for yourself to relax and not think about everything else you could be doing, your work-life balance is shot to ribbons. You need to fix that and allow yourself some down time or it will come back to bite you with health issues.
You need to schedule 'me time' into your day/week so that it becomes a part of the plan and nothing to feel guilty about. Even a few 15 or 30 minute sessions a week may be worthwhile.
