    This is a beautiful color. I love LeCreuset, but only buy when I find a good sale, and even on sale the cookware is high. I just purchased the Sauteuse from QVC for the same price. They still have it available in mint green, and I am looking forward to it. I bought it for making Coq au Vin. I still have some pieces of LeCreuset that I bought in the late 80's! They are the flame red and are still beautiful.

      Yes, Most of the Le Creuset items I've found have been on sale. Some sales are better than others.but I kept a list of the items I really wanted and just waited for them to go on sale... I really enjoy finding the vintage pieces as well....so far I have found two pieces, one at a flea market and the other at an estate sale. Thank you for watching!!

    Love the color! Finally figured out what to do with my cracked soup pot… making it into a succulent faux plant holder 😅 Anyways, wanted to ask if you’ve seen any wear and tear on your pieces?

      Hi AC! lol,...in terms of wear and tear I think that comes with just using them everyday (like the inside darkening a bit from the constant use), but other than that no not really, but then again I wash everything by hand and have them sitting out on the counter tops and open shelving to avoid the bumping that can occur from going in and out of cabinets. I hope that was helpful! Happy Cooking!

    Hi there ..all the way from Australia.. thank you for your review of the product. I noticed your braiser is so clean in the interior even after a few months. It was a concern for me the product will look shabby after constant use. Mine are still brand new. I will get the Le Crueset cleaner and give a clean every now and then. I bought the colour Marseille blue for both. It’s gorgeous. I have waited for thirty years to get them. I do own an avocado coloured Le Creuset skillet 30cm and have had it for 32 years. It still looks good. I made the mistake of heating it without food or oil in it to cook paratha and unfortunately it has left a stain from the oils in the bread so I won’t be doing that again. I can live with it though and I’ll try the LC cleaner as well. Love the idea of owning various coloured LC cookware. The colours are vibrant and I also like a colourful kitchen as you do. 👍

      Hello Debra!! I am so glad you found the video helpful. I do a thorough cleaning after each use even when my kids or hubby use them. I also clean all of them by hand with soap and water. If any of the pots have a film or greasy, sticky residue I place hot water, soap and allow it to boil for 2 minutes on the stove. It will gently lift the residue from the pan. I will do a video on it coming up soon! Have a fabulous day!!!

    Could you help me deciding on which one should I purchase? this essential oven or dutch oven in 22cm, since they are in the same capacity. Thank you!

    • @karenandmaya8329
      @karenandmaya8329  3 роки тому

      Hi Ineke! Awesome question. I think it depends on what you would like to use it for. I think they are both really good for sautés, sauces, boiling and baking the difference it that the Dutch Oven has higher sides so you are less likely to have spills when making your vegetable or chicken stocks or sauces. I hope that was helpful!

    I just bought the sautése, but wonder how it differs (in functionality) from the regular Dutch oven. They are (still) on sale now - $180, originally $300 for the 3.5 qt size. I went with graphite, a Crate & Barrel exclusive color, as I’m trying to coordinate my pot color with the rest of my apartment colors and decor.
    Lapis is beautiful. My first Le Creuset piece was the Lapis fry pan, which I still have of course. Lapis is a color exclusive to Williams Sonoma.

      Hello clothestravel, Thank you for your comment. I had the same thought as to how much the sauteuse and dutch oven differ. I have both and I would say that the dutch oven is a lot deeper and allows for more cooking room; although on a daily basis I tend to use the sauteuse more often.

      @@karenandmaya8329 yeah, thanks for your reply! The only difference I can see from the pictures is the sautése shape appears to curve more inward at the base of the pot compared to the Dutch oven, which would suggest that the surface area of the pot that’s in contact with the burner is smaller than that of a Dutch oven of comparable capacity. I’m only speculating of course, based on photos of the sautése. When mine arrives on Friday, I’ll compare it to my 3.5 qt Dutch oven.

    Thanks for the video! I’m wondering about different types of rice...been Latina it’s important a good pot for the rice and the variations in puertorrican cooking. Originally we use calderos like the aluminum one from imusa but I’ve changed to induction and I’ve been eyeing le creuset for a while. So any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

      Hi Laura! Thank you for watching! My family is from New Orleans and there we use rice a lot in our dishes as well Jambalaya, Gumbo, Dirty Rice just to name a few. For each dish it requires a Roux ( mixture of flour, seasonings, butter cooked at a high heat) The pots and pans that can take the heat consistently are the Le Creuset!! I talked my mom and sisters into buying Le Creuset and they love the pots now!! I think for me it has really caused me to trust my Le Creuset pots/pans more and I use mine everyday. I hope this is helpful. Happy Cooking!!
