Fun video, and I love your sense of humor! I read the Harry Potter books with both of my daughters (one is all grown up and on her own now), though I never had the genius idea of sorting them into their House as the gateway. Jane Eyre is a wonderful book. It's been at least twenty years since I last read it, but who could forget such a classic? I teach "A Pair of Tickets," the last chapter of The Joy Luck Club, to my Introduction to Literature class every semester. It's one of my favorites, and I love the whole book. Your last two favorites I don't know, so thank you for the recommendations!
Thank you for watching, Phillip! Oh my goodness. The second you mentioned A Pair Of Tickets, I started getting teary! 😢🤣 What a great springboard for discussion to use that for your literature classes ❤️ My daughter wanted me to stop reading her Harry Potter the minute we read that he became an orphan, so didn't get far 🤣 I'll give it a few years.
Sun and Mood Reads I don’t even know how many times I’ve read “A Pair of Tickets,” but the ending when Jing-mei is hugging her sisters still chokes me up every time.
"I know this person" I just love it when this happens in a book. One worries though when it happens so regularly. Books have led me to wonder how many personalities I masquerade beneath. Your take on things is awesome. Don't worry about asking me to subscribe, I already have. You are a newfound booktube treasure.😀❤👍
Hi Tristan, thank you and sorry for delayed reply! Hehe, it really is strange but wonderful how we can connect with such a large spectrum of characters in books! Thank you fir watching and subscribing. I look forward to checking out your channel!
Oh what?! wow how nice of Phillip! Thanks for the sub! I'm originally from Sydney but live in dystopic Melbourne now 🤣, can't wait to get back there 🙏 Cheers!
A fellow Hufflepuff! Found your channel through Amrita By The Book and I'm so glad I did! I'm adding The Nowhere Child to my TBR! And I'm reading Convenience Store Woman soon, so watching you talk about it so enthusiastically is making me super excited to finally get to it! And I'm ashamed to say I've yet to read Jane Eyre, but I'm planning to remedy that soon as well! Subscribed!
Oh hi puff buddy! 🤣 Thanks for the sub! Oh I hope you enjoy those books, would love to know what u think 😊 I'll be sure to check out your channel also. Cheers! 💕
Oh thank you! I actually forgot I had said this. I have since then learned to accept my talking speed, and yes I must admit I too get stressed when booktubers talk fast or yell at me 🤣! Cheers!

I love this video! The only book(s) I’ve read are the Harry Potters but I love your passion and enthusiasm for your favorites
Thank you! FYI Convenience Store Woman is such an intriguing read, particularly for a writer as yourself I imagine. 🙂

A book gush is such a cute idea! I had so much fun watching this! I loved the story of your daughter reading Harry Potter
Thank you for watching! ❤️
HEHE! Didn't get far with Harry Potter, as soon as my daughter found out he became an orphan, she was like, I'M DONE! 💔🤣
Oooo, okay, The Nowhere Child sounds so good, already added to my tbr!
Oh that makes me SO HAPPY! 😍😍
I don't think you talk too slow, I find it rather refreshing. Videos with a lot of fast talking and cuts stress me out. :D
Oh thank you! I actually forgot I had said this. I have since then learned to accept my talking speed, and yes I must admit I too get stressed when booktubers talk fast or yell at me 🤣! Cheers!
Ooooh I'm excited to hear about which book you threw!! XD
Hehe! All will be revealed soon 🤣 Thanks for watching! ❤️
I wanna know what book you ended up throwing! And totally relate to the Aussie accent thing.
I'm editing as we speak!! Glad you're INTRIGUED 😉 Hope it doesn't disappoint 😬 Yeah, it's a challenge keeping up with the fast talking UA-camrs 🐨🤣
