I was accepted into a graduate program at a prestigious university in the USA, and as an Irish citizen, I was thrilled. At the time the media coined a phrase the , 'brain drain' from Ireland'. Our brightest and best left the country and traveled to the USA, but mostly Australia and New Zealand. I grieve for the country of my birth. I detest the notion that being a nationalist is racist. Ireland is a small country and has limited resources. If you are a working class person and you have paid into the social purse, you have less rights to benefits than the young MEN who arrive on our shores. We need to vote Sinn Fein OUT.

Inner city dUBLIN was once full of Irish tenements, flats and the poor Irish. It’s so weird to walk down Moore street now the home of the Dublin street traders and hardly see an Irish person there. I was 15yrs ago told I know where you can get your nails done cheaper.. but it’s in the community so I don’t know if they will do yours .. I asked where’s the community .. I was told Moore street .. 😂 meaning because I was white I wasn’t welcome. I thought it odd at the time considering I was a north sider that often shopped on Moore street growing up & that was the real Dubliners area ….
