  • A pod of whales was captured swimming past Lime Kiln Lighthouse near San Juan Island, Washington. Footage from journalist David Neiwert captured the orcas making noise as they formed a "sleeping line." Neiwert describes a 'sleeping line' in an article as as a way that “animals who swim constantly and breathe voluntarily are able to sleep.”
