POWER DoLLS was a flagship strategy game series for Kogado Studio going back to 1994, think something like a mix of X-COM and Front Mission with a notorious difficulty curve. Had about 9 games in the series (counting remakes and expansion releases) along with a short OVA adaptation. The overall shape of the Power Loader is because you commanded a team of pretty women who were officially an idol group but secretly an elite special forces team for the space colony planet "OMNI"- not too unlike Victory Gundam's Shrike Team but with less of meat grinder to the team. The original first game's design for the Power Loader was entirely in gray tones; the blue accents were added in Power Dolls 2 and this enormous thigh look was solidified more in the PCFX remake of PD1, Power Dolls FX (there was still some chonk to them in vanilla PD1 but not to the extent of PDFX). Later games added even more blue accents like around the tops of the thighs and across the feet and ankles, which really make it pop more.
I really liked the overall appearance of the Power Dolls 2 and surprisingly it looks even better with the options set. Unfortunately, it's extremely pricy especially if you get both the kit and the options set.
The kit thicc thighs and body colour, when attached with option part 1 (flight pack+ grenade launcher) reminds me a bit of the GN-X from 00. "Peace Cannot Be Achieved By Force, And Thicc Thighs Saves Lives" - 00 2nd Season, last episode ending
When this popped up on my notifications, I was thinking frame arms girls, but then I watched and it was nothing of the sort and I really like the design. It reminds me of a full metal panic suit.
It's on brand in that the base Power Loader is clean and simple, with lots of expansion options. The games it's from were similar to Front Mission in kitting our your team was where you spent most of the play time...the rest was spent save scumming and reloading stagger saves because Power Dolls was notoriously hard.
I just got this kit, and I also have the resin kit called the Power Loader from this series. It is unfortunately not really articulated, but it looks amazing.
ended up sourcing this kit immediately, exceptional aesthetic, probably pass on the option parts for now cuz thats a hefty extra cost. i do have one other plum kit, these are obviously made with painting in mind even moreso than like a bandai kit is, but i do wish they included some camera stickers at least
finished building the main kit and the 2 weapon sets not long ago, the design and proportion are sexy af - the engineering is dated tho, a lot of seam lines, but I love the design to bits

Such a weird design, but the shapes all work well together. Love the binder set.

Fire stuff
the base kit itself doesnt do much for me but once both option sets are on it does actually look pretty cool.

Looks like a boss from Armored Core 5

I have that Power Loader kit too! But haven’t built it yet
This was turn based strategy game from waaaaay back in the days.

Those kits aren't my style, but I really like the wings

Is it just me or does it look like metal wolf chaos?
thicc thighs save lives
Dem thighs
Maybe it's just me, but putting "doll" in the title of a sci-fi model just doesn't seem like good marketing.
