I'm in the market for a G19 and they seem to be in stock now (as of 12/12/13 in CA). You must have ordered on the day of or after Sandyhook. Knew a few guys who ordwered these 1 day after and they got it in June 2013. Good to know they're making new Gen 3's and not overstock.
I bought a G19 made in USA. At the same time my son purchased a G23 made in Austria. Mine is a jam-o-matic. I shoot a lot of other guns and have NEVER had problems like this with any of them. My son's pistol shoots like a dream with zero malfunctions. Thought maybe I was limp-wristing so at the range I gave my son the USA pistol. He had jam after jam after jam. We tried three different factory magazines. Four kinds of ammo. Still jam-after-jam. Afterwards when we fired his Austrian G23 we had absolutely no problems. I sent my G19 back to the factory. Cost me $72. Ten days later it was returned stating it met 'factory specs'. Back at the range it started malfunctioning as though Glock Customer Service had never laid a hand on it...and I doubt they really even fired it before returning it. So here I am with a loser Glock 19 that is useless and untrustworthy. Moral of the story NEVER buy a made in USA Glock. Stick with Austria. Better yet buy another brand of pistol. Glock is now making them using cheaper parts and with a lot less quality control here in the USA. If you get a lemon be prepared to talk to a Glock customer service person with a severely bad attitude who is doing you - the gun buying slob a huge favor by taking the time to even talk to you. They really suck.
Sorry you got a dud. I would try a heavier recoil spring, or lighter depending if its a failure to feed or eject. You shouldnt have to but if they wont fix it sell it or fix it yourself . my g19 is my go to pistol.
I have TWO Gen-3 Glock 19's, and LOVE THEM!!! I actually bought a Glock 19 Gen-5 M.O.S. ONLY because I'm LEFY, and the DLC Coating on there is AMAZING!!! I have the Apex Trigger Kit in my Carry Glock 19, and it's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
Mine has a AT stamp on the barrel in I recommend lubing them when there new to the point that you can hear the spring squeak anymore and the rails as well aswell the outside and inside of barrel
I carried a .40 cal M-22 for ten years and switched to the 17 recently per department order. Good gun but I miss the quick reset of the 22's trigger action. These 9mm Glocks have a longer reset and makes for an interesting double tap :).
Thanks for your insight! I'm getting conflicting reports on the pentagon symbol. Some are saying that it's a USA proof mark, others have PM'd me stating it's got something to do with Austria... I'm also hearing that the symbol means that it's got a harder metal barrel, only used in the Pentagon stamped Glocks. I wonder why it would have an old locking block since it was recently produced?
Prefer Austria made Glocks over U.S.A. ones mines from 2009 when Tenifer process was still being used and has the better finish, still looks brand new even after thousands of rounds fire through it.
I ordered a Glock and I had a issue with the 19s ejection but they sent me a different follower for the mags I live in Colorado and you can only get 10 round mags so Glock sent me a different follower for the mag and no new issues with it
I negotiated a 3rd mag when I purchased my 19, does that make mine a law Enforcement model? I would not buy a USA stamped glock, my gen 3 has Austria stamped on the slide.
My question for you is what is the inherent differences between the LEO G-19 Gen-3 and the Civilian besides the extra magazine and Upper markings (and price, lol)?
i believe they are using the same barrels in the both the newer g19 g3, and g19 g4, the newer g3s the cut out where the rear of the guide rod meets the barrel is wider, leading me to believe they the same barrels used in the gen 4, that could be what the markings mean.
USA made Glocks have a different finish than Austrian made Glocks. You can find this info all over the internet. Also, I'd get all that grease off of your barrel and slide before you start shooting. Glocks are made to run fairly dry and all of that oil will do nothing but attract dirt and fowling. I have owned a G 23 since 2001 and will be purchasing my G 19 later this month. No offense, but I hope I get an Austrian made. If I'm paying Glock prices, I want mine made in Austria as they should be. Last I checked, all USA made Glocks were manufactured for sale outside of the US. I thought that was the oddest thing, when I saw that yours was made in the US. Maybe since demand was so high at the time you ordered yours, they decided to fill the orders with US made Glocks?
because glock has a factory in smyrna, Ga that makes almost all models of glocks. They have been producing these for around 10 plus years now. You just have to make sure what model if it matters to you. I've had a glock 27 usa I bought in 2014.
Have had mine for two days & love the new finish not being so slick, but it scratches very easily my slide is all tore up.Have you had any problems with this?
Yeah, it's a love/hate thing. I like that it doesn't have the "slick" feeling that it had before, plus it also appears that its even more less shiny..more of a dull finish.

Did you try to lube the handgun?
Try luring the gun and polishing feed ramp and rails if that don't fix it buy an after market barrel

Yes, mine also has Austria on the slide, and on the barrel it's stamped AT, not US. My ser# is VAG7xx if that's a clue as to the timeframe.

Yeah the finish is gone around the corners of the muzzle, and the ejection port is scraped up.

I think it varies! Ive had my g27 usa from 2014 and I have never had a problem with it. It's been very accurate and reliable for a subcompact .40 cal!
