I always get excited when I see a notification for a new video from Shloime !!!
Welcome Shlomi in Iraq. At first I thought that you were of Iraqi origin because your look and personality are very close to Iraqis .We hope you visit Ur thr Sumerian city, the cradle of civilizations, as well as the marshes. We consider all the Jews of the world to be our friends also our countrymen, because the saints of the Jews lived here. We hope that you will be a friend to the Iraqis as well.
I like how your friend spoke to the Iraqi taxi driver at the end of the video. It really moved me. ❤
They just get better and better! I cant wait for the next one!
Thanks for your kind words!
welcome to IRAQ everyone!! :)

This almost feels like a trailer and a behind-the-scenes of his new album really cool to watch and beautifully narrated
Thank you for posting this video of your trip. I have always wanted to see Baghdad, but assumed it was too dangerous. Now I get to see it thru you. I jumped over here after meeting you and your neighbors in Peters video. I am now subscribed to you and wish you many blessings.

You guys are awesome! Loved the video! Thanks for posting.
Stay safe,
G-d Bless!!!
Thanks! You too!
Makes me feel a somewhat old when Shloime says he remembers hearing the name Fallujahin the context of all the violence "as a child growing up", because to me, at 51, all that stuff was not very long ago at all.
Mr. Zionce, I am sure your wife and family are very proud of the risky but valuable work you are doing to further understanding across the globe. Thank you for the excellent videos, but please - be and remain safe.
I don't think it's risky trip, Iraq is safe to visit 🙂

Half of the population of Baghdad were Jews before the forties of the last century, and their real estate and places of worship are still located in the old Baghdad area.
People like to call New York City a Jewish city, but it’s crazy to think that Baghdad used to have a higher percentage of Jews than nyc. Baghdad is where my family comes from, I was raised to be proud of my iraqi-Jewish heritage

Love your vids! You can't partake in non-kosher pastries, but can you partake in the kosher Kush? 😅 Just playing! Thanks for being you and for giving me insight into your experiences as a religious Jew and fellow being! Be well, friend.
cool
👍🏼 thank you
Iraq was and still is your country welcome 😍😍😍
I'v found 2 issues concerning this short video.
1- The level of the background music is higher than your voices.
2- Even if you're Jewish, there's no need to feel unconfortable visiting your grandfather's land. Tens of thousands of Jewish ppl inhabited Iraq for thousands of years ago, but politics spoilld the brotherly relationship between us. So, be positive & feel free hanging out on the land of your ancestors.😊
So interesting!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching!
my cousin was a marine in 2006 battle of ramadi in close combat with alqaeda
The music at beginning sounded like Baal HaSulam arrangement
Hi Shloime such a great video. How do you do food in these places ? Tuna matzah and the noodle pots?
As far as I know, kosher and halal are the same. I am a Muslim, and if I see in western countries food with kosher written on it, I will eat it!
@@mohammedkh4321 we truly are brothers
@@robertrosenberg specifically cousins, we are from Ismael and you are from Isaac, both of us are Semetics and we share many things!
@@robertrosenberg the arabs and israelis are cousins and used to live peacefully and coexist in the same countries and societies. And we wish for the jews that were expelled from the middle eastern countries to move back. Because there arab neighbours remember the generousity and kindness that the jews and arabs showed each other.
Feel welcome to visit iraq.
@@alikasim9627 hi Ali I have heard lovely stories about Iraq from Jews who now live in the UK. They always speak fondly of their homeland.
How do you eat and keep kosher on these trips?
From Russian Subscribers Many of the people there are so very kind hearted n warm n honest. Sadly they fight with each other not just in words but with weapons Pray that in the future they have PEACE N PROSPERITY THAT THEY DESERVE TO HAVE. IT WAS A MISTAKE TO INVADE IRAQ BY THE WAR MONGERING AMERICANS. GOD 1ST ALWAYS YULIYA 💋⛪✝️
I think the video was filmed in the past, specifically 2021, and now the weather will not be cold in Iraq, and the ransoms seem to be in the summer.
Where did he get the microphone from on the iPhone ?
Guys You should visit the ziggurat, the house of the Prophet Ibrahim, the well of the Prophet Job, and the Jewish cemetery in Baghdad. You have to visit the ruins of Babylon and the marshes. And of course, you should try the Iraqi makouf fish and dolma. And try for breakfast Kahi and Kemer and Iraqi tea. And you should try the Iraqi 🇮🇶😍
nice video bravo
love the האש שלי cap with hebrew letters on it while trying to hide ur Jewish identity lol
Always a very interesting video, Shloime. I have never heard the river Tigris pronounced as Tigg-ris. I’ve gone through my B.A. and M.A. saying Tye-gris. All of my professors said “Tye-gris”. Anyhoo… Iraq looks like an interesting country. I can’t wait for the next instalment.
It's closer to the original though.
Will there be a part 3?
Hey Shalomi would love to meet u
The Spongebob music in the beginning is amazing
This music is right out of Runescape lol
Is episode 3 going to come out?
Yes! Stay tuned
@@ShloimeZionce looking forward :)
Nice
where did you get kosher food for lunch and dinner?
Halal food
Gut voch !! Thank you for the bold video. Very historic trip for a yid! I learn Talmud (gemara) every day. What did you guys eat for meals?
Talmud from iraq
Hello , what happened to your visit to Iraq?
اهلا بكم
Although it sounds crazy Once upon a time (in the 1940’s) there were over 140,000 Jews in Iraq. This is where the Talmud was written, and this is where some of the prophets are buried including prophet Yehezqel and prophet Ezra. The Jews from Iraq are considered the most ancient jewish community, outside of the land of Israel, dating back from the Babylonian Exile. Many of the greatest Rabbis also come from this beautiful land including Rabbi Yosef Hayim (the Ben ish hai), and former chief rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
It’s not crazy my family are Iraqi jews. I still eat Iraqi food. My family taught me to love and admire that land and culture. I hope one day to visit. I hope shloime can go to the Jewish cemetery in Baghdad and say prayers for our family members who never made it out.
@@isaacperess8852 I hope one day you can visit our land! My grandfather and grandmother always tell me how much Jewish was good and nice people here! They built many many things in our land and we always be proud of them even when they are out of our land right now, believe me most of us hope that you can return to your home country ❤️❤️❤️
@@mohammedkh4321 you have no idea how much I appreciate that brother. God bless you and your family.
@@isaacperess8852 trust me there are so many iraqis that are angry and sad about the oppression that happened against iraqs jews.
So many that really appreciated there talents and respectful morals. Many wish for the return of the iraqi jews. Try to ask people from iraq (especially the older generation born in the 60's and 80's). Really belive me and I really ask for you to visit iraq and please (record and document) what is left of the belongings of the iraqi jews.
Because time is running.

Just curious is North Korea on your bucket 🪣 list?
We strongly condem and take distance from the injustice commited by iraqs past goverment against iraqs jews and all ethnic minorities.
Is the series over?
I’ve come here from Peter much love
hi from iraq
what kosher food do you bring with you on a trip like this? And what can you eat there? A lot of people want to know?
They would have to eat breads, salads, rice and falafels.
@@alikasim9627 that's bishul nochrim
@@shlomok9731 like it would not be impossoble in iraq to avoid meat etc. But just a problem when it comes to how the food is served. As jewish law does not allow meat to be cooked in the same stowe as milk and cheese.
Easy to travel with ramen soup/ noodles, pkgs of tuna or salmon, peanut butter, a sliced bread or matzah or crackers. Buy a fruit or vegetable.
@@alikasim9627 Jewish law requires a Jew to take part in at least a part of the cooking. Generally the way that works in factories is that they will have a switch to turn on the oven and some Jew will press a button which turns the oven on from far way.
The homies 😎
Shloimy, you should really do a video of Ukraine , stay safe!
Is it humid in Bagdad or dry heat ?
The weather is cool and nice at this time in Iraq , but it is too hot in summer . I never recommend visiters to come here in summer because they cannot endure the hot weather which reaches 50 degrees and more .
Dry windy heat in summer (feels like gigantic hair dryer is blowing on you). No rain at all and it starts from mid-May until mid-September. It gets a bit cold in December and January and snowy at the far north of Iraq, but the rest of the year is nice weather.
Why didn’t you visit the synagogue in Baghdad?
اهلا وسهلا بيكم في بغداد حللتم اهلا ونزلتم سهلا
How you keep Kosher? Temptations every place you look around there is food!
All Iraqis agreed on your love ❤❤🇮🇶
Your friend looks like Iraqi
Amazing! Can other people in the boat hear Lipa singing? And do you have to have a separate credit card without a Jewish sounding name? Gut voch!
Why he should do that? Do you think that Iraq prevent Jewish from coming? Everyone is welcome here and we love Jewish, they was one of the most important ethnicities here and we really miss them in our land! There are Jewish live until now in Iraq but not many
Is tigres river the one mentioned in
על נהרות בבל?
It is actually “By the rivers…” these were the Tigris and the Euphrates.
@@ItIsJustJudy Many rivers are in Babylon and Iraq generally! Because Tigris and Euphrates divided to many big rivers and those rivers eventually ended meeting Tigris and Euphrates before both of them met in Basrah and go to the Persian gulf
This river is only for Iraqis (Tigris River / Euphrates River)
@@3abood11 It's not only for us but Turkey and Syria also!
@@mohammedkh4321 I am talking about Iraq, not on Syria or on Turkey....because the Israeli says we have the land from the Nile River to the Euphrates River, and this was the answer of every Iraqi to Israel. They have no right to 1 meter in Iraq, the Levant and Egypt.
Are you of Iraqi Jewish ?
