  • Welcome to episode three of Sweet Boys! In this episode we drink way too much coffee (as always) discuss why we’re friends, Garrett’s new place, why you don’t need to earn everyone’s respect, reasons to not chase money and social media fame, why Garrett once quit a job after just three hours and the college class that Andrew quit in just 3 minutes, the importance of good energy and proper vibes, why a supermodel would leave her husband for Andrew, what’s gonna happen to Garrett’s tiny house, why Andrew is totally over the dating apps, the greatest concert Garrett has ever seen, why people think Garrett is a mess and how he protects himself, what Andrew could not stand in school and one of the worst experiences ‪@GarrettWatts‬ ever had in high school, the cruel games our teachers played, what being “cool” actually means, the spooky side of the podcast, the importance and thrill of UA-cam comments, why Dumbledore is the only lifestyle guru and life coach you need... and of course there is a holiday themed guided meditation for relaxing.
Enjoy and THANK YOU! You’re part of our OG subscribers and listeners and we cannot wait to continue this journey with you!

Being apathetic isn’t cool. Being crass isn’t cool. Being compassionate, empathetic, and generous is cool. It’s taken me a long time to realize that the type of people that drain you and make you feel bad about yourself are not the ones you need to impress.

I'm sixteen and I've been dealing with an eating disorder for five years, and weirdly Garrett and Andrew have helped me to love myself and even want to get better. I'm very grateful for both of them, I remember watching Garrett, Drew, and Shane when they would do the spooky boys series and he always made me laugh. I always felt better when watching his videos because he was always himself and didn't care about anyone else's opinions and that met a lot to me. And then Andrew came into the picture and he started showing up more in Garretts videos and I loved the vibe they always had. It just made me feel very happy, they've always made me laugh when I wanted to cry, I'm so thankful for this podcast cause I get to see them even more. So thank you Garrett Watts and Andrew Siwicki for being your amazing, lovely, beautiful, fantastic, one-of-a-kind selves.

When you guys were talking about the concert Garrett went to, it reminded me of my 17th birthday. I had invited 15 people to come hang out and only one person showed up. I legit had one person say ‘no thanks’ when I invited them. Thankfully another one of my friends came last minute (fun fact: he wasn’t one of the og 15 people I invited. I invited him the day before because I didn’t have his number) But the 3 of us had the most fun time. We ordered pizza, played video games, and laughed so hard that we all constantly had to pee. Honestly quality over quantity man! Love this podcast

Really appreciate this line from Garrett. I always have this desire to want a room full of people to be there when I have something to say and get disappointed when it's only just a few. I've started to learn that in life, it's usually those small groups of 1-4 people who are actually truly listening to what you have to say. More often than not we chase this hollow desire for more people to listen to us because we focus our energy on trying to get everyone to like us instead of forming those deep connections with just a few people who can actually get you a little bit closer to that true connection.

@@millievknight Autism Speaks is a bad organisation people shouldn’t support. They advocate for harmful “treatments” and have contributed a lot to the stigmatisation of autistic people and their families. As an autistic person, I’m just letting you know because there are many much better organisations out there doing great work for autistic people. If you want to know more about it then I think you could probably find information explaining it from ASAN (autistic self-advocacy network) and I believe the UA-camr Iilluminaughtii has some relatively recent videos discussing the many issues with Autism Speaks. I also remember Stephanie Bethany, a smaller UA-camr who is autistic, did a video discussing some of the issues with Autism Speaks a while back. I just don’t want people supporting that harmful organisation when there are so many more helpful places people can be spending their money, time, and energy. #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs

I think that when things feel off in friendships, it's usually for a good reason and you don't have to explain to someone why you don't want to be around them or their anergy anymore. Just because someone is a part of your life, that doesn't mean they deserve to be.

At the same time though it doesn’t hurt to take any responsibility that you can. He’s pointing out to not beat yourself up. That is where true maturity comes from. If u always rethink a situation it’s because you care and wanna understand something better but at the same time you. Learn from it and move on. This is why psychology is a profession, because everyone has layers to their own personalities and the reactions they produce are reflective of those said personalities.
Can u imagine the person who always thinks they are right? Insufferable. Lmao. To be humble is to realize you don’t know everything, and u will find yourself going over certain situations time to time. But remember just because u aren’t sure if u are right it doesn’t mean you are wrong. Life is not a math equation with single answers.

I feel like there's a good balance where neither of you pretend to be typical nor do you portray your differences as an inescapable burden bogging you down. I really like/often forget that Andrew has a degree in psych. I'm a college student and some of my friends have taken pysch, and it often confirms my thoughts on myself. Especially working in the restaurant industry were people can be so brutal, it's nice to hear the affirmation that you can't control other people anger or rudeness

positive teacher story in light of all the negatives: in 6th grade i had the sweetest teacher who put like warm vanilla cookie candles/aroma on and she had a reading corner with a bunch of comfy pillows and would give us a designated reading time everyday to just sit where we wanted and read what we wanted and i think its genuinely one of the most peaceful memories i have from childhood

Most podcast descriptions: Zach and Ann start off by discussing their favorite Christmas movie and then get into a fun debate about bears.
Sweet Boys: This week the boys discuss their favorite episode of Hannah Montana and the new rug Garrett just bought then Andrew beats up a fly and Garrett talks about how much he loves socks while Andrew sings show tunes then Garrett discusses the squirrel he saw last Tuesday and how that lead him to become a basket weaver and Andrew tries to get Garrett to start a makeup company with him and just then a butterfly flies in and Andrew and Garrett get in a debate on the butterfly effect and how they’ve learned to successfully translate whale calls and are potentially going to become merman while Andrew becomes a sword tester and contemplates being a astronaut and Garrett decides he need to buy a new trash can then they sing one more off key Christmas song and end with a nice calm simple family reunion St Patrick’s day high stakes meditation.
