It's very good to see swing over 32R to 32L on final for not lose extra minutes on the ground. It's very good commercial professionship Captain. I respect you very much.
Great video captain!, I just got type-rated and waiting for line training and your videos really help me about profile management when doing descent and approach.Thank you

I don't now if Eurowings go to Nice airport in France from Düsseldorf but it's my favorite airport. I will be very enjoy to see a full flight to this destination. Thank you captain!
We fly to and from Nice. But I have not been scheduled to Nice for a while. I will keep your request in mind and hope to be scheduled to Nice soon again! Please stay tuned!
Great video captain, an interesting part was the detour to avoid the storm. I know that it is much better to fly in the best possible conditions, but this does not always happen. I would like to see a video in unfavorable conditions one day, although I do not know if this is the right forum. It is very reassuring to see the normality with which the pilots carry out their work, that is reassuring. Maybe seeing worse conditions we can also appreciate how safely we fly in bad conditions Regards
Thanks for sharing your good feedback! In general, the weather is most of the time good during the cruise flight. Even without a clear view to the ground, we see the blue sky above or may have to circumnavigate one or the other cloud. Most of the flying is done above the weather. Sure, during the descent when we arrive at lower altitudes, we may see clouds. Several videos on the channel show this situation. But, I will continue to record flights and there may be also one or the other video in the future with some bad weather conditions. Please stay tuned!
Amazing content, Stefan. (I share your name, too) I watch as much as I can, even entirely without skipping. From you I learnt how to hold and move the joystick of the Airbus (in the sim) so thanks for that. Hopefully, we'll meet in the cockpit someday, I'm still in my money saving phase for the school and I hope that I can keep on this journey.
Stefan, thank you very much for joining the channel as a member! Without the financial support of the channel members most of the videos would be impossible to produce and to publish! It is great to hear that you learned a lot from the videos! I am looking forward seeing you someday in the Airbus and I wish you all the best on your path to an aviation career!
Awesome as always! I would love to see more footage from either MCDU, although the camera location (probably mounted on the FCU) would interfere with the ops, You have probably already thought about that. 👋
Thanks for watching and your good feedback! I will try to show the MCDU whenever possible. But this will not always be the case. The camera for the MCDU is not mounted on the FCU. All camera locations are chosen that they do not interfere with flight operations. This is also the reason why I was not able to get a good recording of the ECAM page until now.

I like to hear that the videos helped you a lot during your training! I will keep your suggestion in mind and hope to come up with something. I wish you all the best and lots of fun for your aviation career!
Just catching up and enjoying, as usual, the flight ... but confused by seeing you select BrakeMedium at around 1:15:18 after discussion (very early!?!) and then talk later at 2:05:10 about a 250 mile triggering (?).
Yes, we started the preparation for the landing very early. At 250 NM from the destination, the FMA starts showing the entered approach minimum and whatever mode is set for the autobrake: Low or Medium
been a while since i commented on this channel, but corfu reminds me a bit of KMLB. I'm doing my private training out of KCOI/KTIX, and even tho KTIX has 1/3 the traffic of KMLB, the latter is the one where there's a single controller for clearance, ground, and tower -- with three fully used runways. KTIX, with its 1/3 traffic, has a dedicated ground/clearance controller.... Very strange how KMLB is setup. LGKR seems considerably safer with the same number of controllers. Or at least, the controller in this video sounds much happier than the ones at KMLB :)
Thanks a lot for your interesting feedback! It's great to hear that you do your flight training at the Florida East Coast. The airport setups are very different. Sometimes the small airports have several controllers for tower, delivery and even apron or so. Others have just one controller who does everything. A good example is Dresden in Germany. There are separate tower, ground and even apron controllers at work. But the airport has way less traffic than the Spruce Creek private airport in Florida which has no tower or so but an IFR approach. My experience is that in Greece, especially at the smaller island airports, one ATC person is doing almost everything and provides a great service. Corfu for example sometimes has a good amount of traffic, but almost no room on the ground. So ATC has lots of work to do to get everybody safely in and out.
Here is my Spruce Creek playlist with some impressions and even a landing and a takeoff from and to our Fly-In Community: ua-cam.com/play/PLa2FUXnb0gRDab_guU7NWjGrab3UYNxtm.html
Thanks for another perfect flight from the Dream Team. Lake Baldeney looks very beautiful. Do you often go there on your days off, or are you too busy editing videos?
Thanks for you kind feedback! Once in a while, I like to do some running along the shore of the lake. The full run is about 14 kilometers. It is a very nice jogging track.
Very professional, Would like to see some video when you do before job meeting and briefing, How is it ? You discuss for planes you will fly? Routes? Working schedule?
Thanks. I suggest that you watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/7FDcZZn6kV4/v-deo.html It shows a full working day, including all the briefings .... You will also find in the members section a video about how many flights we do per day ....
When we use the autobrake for landing and the pilot flying uses his or her feet to brake instead of the autobrake, the flight warning computer informs the crew in most of our airplanes that the autobrake system is deactivated. The pilot flying also does the callout "manual braking" to confirm that he or she intentionally switched off the autobrake system.
Thank you for watching and your good feedback! I agree, the First Officer did a great job as pilot flying to Corfu (the video is also available) and as pilot monitoring on the way to Düsseldorf. Have a nice day!
Nice video, nice flight, thanks! But how do you manage breathing into and onto your mic constantly 😂 is it a routine you learn during your pilot apprenticeship?? 😂
Depending on the exact position of the microphone, sometimes you hear the breathing in the audio. I am sorry about that. We do not hear it in the cockpit headsets due to the background noise and the noise suppression system of the headsets.
Great video. As a coincidence to celebrate, finally, my membership (best investment, tbh) I did that exact flight earlier today on the simulator. 😅 Corfu being one of my favorite spots in the Sim is really fun to fly to and from and looks like the real thing thanks to brilliant scenery addons. My routing was also very similar:LGKR/34 OLGA2F OLGAT DCT ABADI DCT CRAYE DCT GISAM DCT RILIM DCT SOMIG DCT SAL DCT MINTU DCT PUL DCT PEVAL DCT UPIRO DCT MOBDO DCT SOTOV P66 MOGTI DCT KPT DCT VEKIR DCT HAREM DCT LOHRE Z850 ADEMI T854 DOMUX DOMU2G EDDL/23L😅 Your channel is so helpful to get more used to RL operations. I do only need some more insights as to what inputs you do in the RAD/NAV page on departures and arrivals😂. Many greetings to that smart FO. I used to live some time in Apulia and the beaches near Taranto are among the bests in Europe. Stay tuned.
Thank you so much for watching, your detailed and very personal feedback and your financial support of the channel as a member! There are some inputs to the RAD/NAV page which are mandatory and others are up to the pilots. For example, if you fly a VOR or a NDB approach, you have to tune the appropriate VOR and the course or the NDB. This is required because the raw data information has to be monitored during these approaches. Also, a certain DME may be required for an ILS approach or so. This has to be tuned before the approach. ILS frequencies are usually automatically preset and have just to be crosschecked. We also use the RAD/NAV page to tune VORs or DMEs to show parts of our company engine out procedures. Sometimes, we do not tune anything because we do not see any need for it. But if we fly in areas with GPS outages, like Cyprus or so, we even do a setup for the arrival routing along the VOR radials, to make sure that we are always able to crosscheck our position and to continue the flight even without GPS or our IRS navigation system position information.
Everything you see in the video is original from the flight. The checklists are original checklists from the company. But I cannot share any PDF or so. It is very similar to the new original Airbus checklist. You may find the new original Airbus checklist via a google search.
Have some beginners question if possible please, You changed from ils approach to vor approach, How did you know you were on the right vertical path, how did you calculate because the g/s and localizer disappeared..
If we would change from an ILS approach to a VOR approach, there is no vertical deviation indicator based on the VOR transmission. Altitudes are based on distances from the VOR/DME station. The approach charts show tables with different distance values and the required minimum altitudes. The Airbus flight management system is also able to calculate a synthetic glidepath on the basis of the altitude at the final approach fix and the minimum for the approach.
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos Thank you again my friend for your time and explaining everything very professional and making it easy to understand. I am very happy that I found your channel and I think its the only in this category. Hope you are getting something in return for all your devotion and this amazing job you are doing. Wish you a good weekend!
Hello Captain, What are your views on the unsafe practices going on here in India where pilots are being utilised till their last breath. Last year 3 pilots of major Indian carriers died due to Cardiac arrest. Business is being prioritized over safety. Isn't that concerning for the aviation as whole?
@@VaibhavYadav-ke5mo I did not know about the death of the Indian pilots. This is very sad. I do not want to criticise or blame somebody because I do not know any details. In general, safety must always be the highest priority. The business should never being prioritized over safety.
Lido provides good charts. Over the years, they improved a lot. Lido is owned by Lufthansa. But they offer the charts to any airline. United is a long time partner in the Star Alliance. Why do you think won't they consider Lido?
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos Yes, good colorful charts! But with any carrier change is difficult, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Jeppesen is also adequate and widely adopted in the US. I think Lido was briefly considered years ago. My guess is that UAL wasn’t ready to made the big transition of getting 500+ dispatchers and thousands of pilots onboard for the Lido/LSY all-in-one package. We’re still seeking upgrades to flight planning but maybe something that doesn’t pull pilots into it too, maybe someday we’ll reconsider. 🤔😌

Thanks for you kind feedback! Once in a while, I like to do some running along the shore of the lake. The full run is about 14 kilometers. It is a very nice jogging track.
A full Flight to Salzburg would be very nice
Thanks for your request! I will keep it in mind! Please stay tuned!
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos Thanks a lot! Very helpful as always!
i would love to see you fly to Dublin Ireland
I hope to fly to Dublin soon again! My schedule is always a surprise. It may take a while. Please stay tuned!
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos thank you for your reply love your videos
What's the dynamic behind the "Autobrake Off" callout? I've not heard it anywhere other than your videos haha.
When we use the autobrake for landing and the pilot flying uses his or her feet to brake instead of the autobrake, the flight warning computer informs the crew in most of our airplanes that the autobrake system is deactivated. The pilot flying also does the callout "manual braking" to confirm that he or she intentionally switched off the autobrake system.
amazing video as always! but i have a question when do you use baro and radio for minimums?
It depends on a lot of factors, like the airplane. But generally, I think CAT1 is with baro and CAT II / III with RA.
@@hauslerfulthanks!
Thanks! As already mentioned by others: It is usually BARO, unless it is a CATII or CATIII approach. Then we use RADIO.
with the switch to 23L that 1st officers hands were very quick.great flight by everyone .
Whats the steam coming behind captain's seat at 23:19? 😮
Condensation. This happens a lot and is also visible a lot of times near the cabin air conditioning outlets.
Tolles Video!
My routing was also very similar:LGKR/34 OLGA2F OLGAT DCT ABADI DCT CRAYE DCT GISAM DCT RILIM DCT SOMIG DCT SAL DCT MINTU DCT PUL DCT PEVAL DCT UPIRO DCT MOBDO DCT SOTOV P66 MOGTI DCT KPT DCT VEKIR DCT HAREM DCT LOHRE Z850 ADEMI T854 DOMUX DOMU2G EDDL/23L😅
Your channel is so helpful to get more used to RL operations.
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos wow, thank you so much for that very detailed answer. Very much appreciated.
The checklist is from Eurowing or did you get it from the internet? I would like to have it. Regards.
Everything you see in the video is original from the flight. The checklists are original checklists from the company. But I cannot share any PDF or so. It is very similar to the new original Airbus checklist. You may find the new original Airbus checklist via a google search.
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos Ok no problem I just wanted to know. Thank you very much for these videos.
Tolles VIdeo! Was sagen Sie um 26:15 nach 'gear up'?
Danke fürs gute Feedback! Ich sage NAV. Das war eine Veränderung auf dem FMA. Diese rufen wir immer aus.
@@ApproachandDepartureVideos Danke schön :)

Thank you!

I miss the beautiful Lido charts 🥹
United unfortunately won’t dare touch Lido 🥺
