@@emilyesnyman it all depends on the type of Cake, pancakes, waffles your making. The basic Cake flour mix can be used for lots of things. Just like like basic bread flour mix. Well it's the same ingredients so I'm going to stick with me little epiphany. Pancakes are just more liquid like because they are fried and not baked. Kind of makes sense to me!

When you bake cakes in different size pans, it usually has different times to bake. So the little ones will be less time, it should be a note on the box of what size pan it holds and how much to bake it. So like the little ones might’ve gone for like 15-20 min and checking often with a toothpick to make it less crumbly and more moist like the larger cakes. But it looks so good and I’m so proud!! Icing does fix everything!! You did so great! And I do want to see the hamburger one please!!

Idk if it would be too difficult, but it could be cute to make those tiny lunchbox cakes, but with all of the Sims 4 cakes. The chocolate one, hamburger one, strawberry, blue confetti, and all of the others.
tip for cracking your eggs always hit them firmly on a flat surface so that the shell doesn't get pushed up into the egg white! you'll hardly ever get egg shells in your eggs again AND it breaks cleaner so it doesn't fall apart :)
As a person who loves to bake and watches way to many baking competition shows, watching you do this gave me anxiety. However, I applaud your effort, attitude, and ability to go with the flow.
As a baker this proper stressed me out 😂 but so fun to watch! And it turned out pretty damn good for a non-baker. I think you should do more cooking/baking Sims recipes, those videos are great
4:03 Kelsey, I know you probably are not aware of this and you don't purposefully want to cause any damage, but you should NEVER, in any circumstance put oil or any greasy substance down the drain. The grease reacts with the calcium on the pipes and will create this soapy compound which can grow substantially through time and clog your pipes and cause damage in common pipes too. When disposing of oil you can wait for it to cool, if you were cooking with it, put it in a used water gallon or any recipient, and try to find a specific "dumpster" for oil, somewhere where you live. In my city for example we have one in a supermarket that supports recycling and trash separation. If you can't find one, put the recipient in the normal trash, but never down the drain. Anyways, I loved the video, it was super funny, especially the eggs episode😄
Kelsey: “You’ll need stuff” Me:... yes Oh and I was thinking if you bought more icing, I think you could have made cake pops. You use the extra cake too!
i came here to see if anyone had the same idea with the cake pops! she can melt chocolate and then dip them to make the outer shell or dye 3-4 bowls of melted white choc to do a splatter/tie-dye dip effect on them! no wastage either
I swear I'm psychic! Lol I was just thinking earlier how I would love to see you do another cooking/baking video! 😁😂 Would LOVE to see you do the hamburger cake!
Hahaha this reminds me that every year on my kids birthdays I want to make their cakes for them. And I always over estimate the amount of work it takes 😂. So they always end up with not great looking cakes, but they always love them because mom made them lol
As a home baker, I am both highly entertained and mildly horrified. I was practically begging for Kelsey to do a crumb coat before stacking them, as well as using some straws to support it 😂
Hey Kelsey, a frosting tip from my grandma is to have a glass of water and occasionally dip your frosting spreader in it. It slightly thins the frosting against the spreader and makes it smoother on the cake. Also if you want more control of the decorating icing (the pink one) I think they sell tips that attach to those tubes in a 4 pack that make a thinner line or a star tip and a flat tip etc.
I love that mid-pandemic and post leaving a workplace where you could have shared the cake is when you decide to make a massive one when it’s basically just for you. Mad respect. I wish I had a giant cake in my fridge. 😭
Kelsey congratulations! I just want to tell you that you seem much happier now that you are making your own content. I just advise you not to follow the trends because at one point you will burn out. Just make the content you enjoy!

Happy age up Kelsey! I love the aging up tradition on this channel, I think it's very fun and creative. I'd also like to add, I'd love to see you make the hamburger cake from Sims 4!
Yaaaaaasssss! Hamburger cake! You should make it like Bob Blumer with "ketchup" (strawberry sauce), I can't remember what he used for mustard, but I remember relish was lemon and lime jello. He also used sliced almonds as sesame seeds. It was a chocolate for the burger in a vanilla cake for the bun.
Hi kelsey The reason that your cake had a bit of brown on it is because the first layer of icing is called the crumb coat and then you freese if for 30mins and then to another layer and repeat if needed love the channel have a lovely day

I didn't think of pancakes just being cakes made in a pan either until now lmao. But now I'm wondering if an oatmeal cake would be good.. Yeah I'll just leave that to pancakes lol
When I made a Krabby Patty cake... I took a single cake mix. I poured part in a round cake pan (bottom bun) and part in a oven safe bowl (rounded top bun). I made the meat from a brownie mix! To finish... I iced with icing dyed to look like a bun and added sesame seeds. For ketchup and mustard, I dyed icing and melted it a bit. Then poured it on. For tomatoes, I dipped cookies into the red icing! For lettuce, I sliced and rolled out some green mint leaf gummy candies. For pickles, I rolled some round gummies flat as I could and dipped them in green icing! It looked awesome!

I actually have done this already multiple times!!
It's late here so at first, I genuinely thought this said "I tried to bake a 600-layer cake!!!" and I was like "KELSEY, NO-" 🤣
I will never understand how people can bake/do art/do anything with their hair down and not get it stuck in everything. Amazing.
Oh you do, you just learn to pick it out. N not say anything
That is actually my frequent criticism for her when she does cooking videos: "Kelsey, for the love of Pete, put your hair up!"
what can we say. its a gift
at 4:40 when she turned on the hand mixer near her hair i literally got anxiety 😭

But it's not😂
Pancake has more milk and cake cake has more baking powder (for that fluffy-ness)

Kelsey using her oven mitts to put COLD PANS in the oven is a mood lol
Okay but hear me out bc I do the same thing, the oven is hot and I’m scared of burning myself when I put things in the oven.
I am irresponsible so often burn myself putting stuff in cos I accidentally touch the oven lol
I was legit yelling at my phone, going you know the pans are COLD right?
