In case it helps anyone: it helped me to break these in for my 2E width foot by removing the insole for the first few matches. The v7+ update makes the toebox slightly lower and tighter, so if your big toe feels crushed, removing the insole provides a few more millimeters of space and should relieve that pressure. After the toebox has been stretched out a bit, you can put the insole back in.

Noah, I wanted to give props and also clarify something. First, props! I love the way you talk through fit on boots in specific terms. This makes it waaaaaay better than just a hype video talking about how great a boot is without giving specifics that would help people to buy something that there is very little chance is carried in their local football shop. Super helpful!
Question: You usually wear a size 9 and have the boots fit fairly snug (Eg 442 Pro, Phantom GX). But you needed to go up a half size to 9.5 in these and the Tekela Lows. Correct?

Always love your reviews! Having played in a few different versions of the Furons I can say these are the best. I would argue they're almost flawless. I can't speak highly enough about them...... except for one key problem. The tip of toe box is not rounded at all and has a super low profile, which makes it almost impossible to get that toes up the edge feeling that most top players prefer. You can do it, but it will hurt over time, and you'll feel the scrunch when you run. As a result, lots of folks go up a half size, which I tried, but with narrow fee there was just too much overall space to make it work. If they just rounded/raised the area right at the big toe these would be my favorite boots of all time. Elite comfort, elite performance. I'd pay serious money to get a pair with a raised bit toe area. So close to perfection!

You should try furon v7+ pro AG , they have higher volume and more rounded toebox

New balance have been creating some pretty good boots, Had the furon for over two weeks now and it's my number 1 boot in my bag.Maybe some might disagree with me but imo, the furon is better the preds for me. Would recommend others to try them!!
Agreed! All 3 of their boots have incredible comfort and value.

My only request from NB is that they make studs suitable for artificial grass surfaces. Conical studs in the mid forefoot for MG, or all conical (AG). Love what NB is doing. Tekela pro is my current go to for AG surfaces.
Definitely mate! They make an AG model, but it's a lot harder to find.
@@NoahCavanaugh just like Nike elite level AG boots. Only recently they made the change and made them available for us in the US. but I heard the Nike AG plate are not holding up well…

Probably a few weeks before season starts so you can wear them prior for a few sessions and break them in!

Hey, Noah quick question. For the regular Furon V7+, your advice is to go half a size up. But if we are talking about the wide fit version, should one stay with true to size?
I'd still probably go 1/2 size up mate! It's a length thing, not a width thing

I want to blind buy these since I can’t try them on in any stores near me. The phantom gx 2 fit me well in a US 10 (I have wide feet and a decently wide midfoot). Should I size up or down at all and would you say that these would suit my foot shape? Also should I get the gx 2 instead.

can you compare the furon and the tekela in terms of comfort and shooting sensation please? Also, I would like to know whether the two boots have inside paddings on the toe surface since my toes are slightly bulged and i'm worried the shoes might rub my toes. Thank you! Definitely one of the most detailed soccer boots review vids ever seen.
Equally as comfortable, Furon for shooting feel. Neither really have much padding in the toe area so you should be fine

I have a wide foot in the midfoot, quite wide in the toes, and a high dorsum of the foot. I ordered
New Balance Tekela v4+ Pro Low FG (tight in the toes and midfoot),
Adidas PREDATOR ELITE 3G (a bit too little space in the toes - the toes are close to each other and have no freedom, the irritating tongue slides to the side, which is not wide enough to cover high foot arch).
UA Shadow Elite 2.0 - very nice, tight midfoot, stiff and agressive soleplate, too barefoot feel for me
Now it's time for furon v7+...
I wonder how you fit in wide foot with phantom GX2 ? Maybe you can give some advice which other football boots should I try for wide feet ?
I appreciate you mate! The GX2 is a great wide-fit football boot, just be aware you might need a bit of break in time for the toe box area! Other than that they're excellent in my opinion. If those still don't work, I'd go for an all leather model like the Adler Yatagarashu or Mizuno Morelia 2!
@@NoahCavanaugh Surprisingly, the Furon v7+ has a wider area in the toe and midfoot than the Tekela. Probably due to the stretchability of the materials. Furon v7+ adjusted to the shape of the foot nicely after two training sessions. I couldn't resist and ordered the Predator elite 2G/3G for short AG. In preds the upper is so good but breaking in takes much longer - to speed up this process I used adjustable shoe trees. Thank you for the valuable information from each test.
Is the soleplate on these more or less aggressive than the phantom gx 2 elite? Also out of these and the gx 2 which ones did you prefer overall?
More aggressive moving forward, less aggressive with pivoting

Does the AG version feel significantly different under foot? I LOVE the FG furons but I play on turf and, pushing 40, don't want to risk a knee injury. I'd love to be able to play in the AG version but I can only find them in the UK.
I'm not sure mate, I haven't tried the AG model yet!

i had the vapor 16 with 45,5 size and they fit perfekt but sadly my sole plate cracked and i had to return it, you think they will fit me?

i just got a pair of tekela v4 low SGs and i also had to go up half a size, full size compared to mizuno
i didnt quite fit into the furon v7s because of width, now i see these colors and regret getting the copper tekelas lol

This isn’t related to the new balance. But if you had to choose between the Nike phantom GX Elite AG the first version not the 2nd that’s recently come out,or the Nike mercurial Vapor 15 Elite AG. Which would you go for???

5 inches width doesn't tell me anything about your foot shape mate, you could be 5 in wide and 5 long 😂. Go 1/2 size up regardless of what socks you wear.
ah my bad, was mostly referring to how it would feel on the sides with 5 inches in width. Thanks tho because i didn’t go half a size up with the puma ultimate and the grip socks made it a bit too tight for comfort especially in the midfoot to toebox.
The wide version would fit you perfect.

@@NoahCavanaugh Seems to me the shoe laces are too wide apart. When I wear the wide boots the shoe laces are much closer together giving me a bigger striking zone.
Just got the New Balance Furon V7+ and got my size. They are really tight does anyone know if they will stretch over time or if I should return them?
As I said in the video mate, it's best to go up 1/2 size with both the Tekela and the Furon 🤝

Hey Noah I’m a size 8 us in the phantom gx, I tried the new balance furan v7 in a size 8 and they hurt my heel and they were really tight, do you think in a size 8.5 for the furan v7+ will feel better? Thx
I went up half a size in the v7+ from what I wore in v7 and they feel a ton better similar to what Noah was saying in the video.
I'm going to agree that half a size up is a must. I've got the furon v7+ in the turf variation and now tried the new tekela too and went up a half size as well and they fit perfectly.

@@Vikp684 a half size up is going to be exactly what you're nornal size is. Im normally an 8.5 but like noah says these do run small. Half size up fits me perfectly with little to no space.
Turf version are great. They have the same premium upper and really have that lightweight, sock-like feel.
@@1771soccerstar I tried on a pair of the V7+ and also the Tekela v4+, and I definitely agree with 1/2 size up! And they both feel amazing on foot. I went for the Tekela’s only because I want to get the AG or TF version of the Furon. The wrap on both these boots is spectacular, especially the Furon!
