As a teacher and content creator myself, this video is so powerful and so important! I have asked my secondary school that I work at, that this video can be shown to all pupils in tutor time, I think you communicate this message really well. A different voice for these pupils to listen too but also a respected voice. Thank you, Thogden and Thogdad.

I’ve not watched your channel before - but both you guys are stellar on this. You get it. I wish that more were like you. There are so many women we all know who have had this happened to them…way more than you think. They’re scared to speak up as no one believes them. Seeing men speak out like this helps so much. @@samfuel Interesting point you made and opens a lot of room for debate, I mean you’re not wrong.. and every system that’s ruled by humans it’s not perfect but it’s the best that we have, I’m a lawyer I did probono work as a public defender in my last year of law school and I agree with you, our system isn’t designed to make us see what it’s true and what isn’t, and in a courtroom it’s not about the truth it’s about what can be prove in front of a jury of your peers, but that doesn’t means that a a bunch of twitter warriors can destroy your life without any evidence.
And about that percentage you mention about fake claims, you’re right most studies shows that in the last 20 years only between 2-10% of rape accusations have proven to be fake.. but there’s is the key word “proven” we don’t know about the rest, and as you see in your analogy you believe in what you want to believe or you believe in what it’s easier or most reliable unfortunately guys abusing girls it’s so common that we believe by default that the guy it’s guilty and I don’t know about UK but in my country “ I’m from Argentina” the only cases where the victim’s testimony is taken as strong evinces that can be presented in court and can lead to a sentence and also increase jail time is gender base violence. So what I’m saying it’s that even though I don’t believe this girl it’s lying but we need to gather the facts before we even start destroying a kid’s life.

It was so unsettling and disturbing seeing those Images and listening to that audio recording. The sad reality is that there are tons of girls who have been raped, sexually assaulted etc and have made people aware of it and half of the time people don’t believe them and they get told they’re lying. I hope people take these incidents seriously.
That is why they record the next time.. to have proof....

Love the Dad chat - I wish parent-child dynamics like this were still encouraged in our nation. But on rape - this is the fruit of a deep societal flaw. Our sexual ethics are so warped that this is going to be the inevitable outcome in our time. The way we talk and think about sex neglects so many fields of science it's appaling. We need to rethink sexual liberty as a whole, but I seriously doubt our society is ready for it.

As a young man of a similar age it was so horrifying to hear the audio and photos and I just hope justice will come to prevail. What was he even thinking. His parents are going to be proud? His girlfriend's family will be fine when they get to know this? I have a Mother and a sister. I'm 19 but imagining if something similar happened to my daughter. The amount of anger towards the guy, I would be fuming and the feeling of sorrow for my daughter would be endless, i would regret that I couldn't protect her. I hope Mason gets behind the bars and also gets tolerated the same way he did to Harriet, maybe even worse to get a good lesson. Glad she took the stand for her.

Was surprised and wow the audio was so disturbing. I wish I hadn't heard it. I know people who have been through rape too it's horrible. My ex girlfriend was abusive to me and used to beat me up. I encourage anyone going through these things to come forward and report it to proper authorities. Just wish all the best for the poor girl

It's really good that you're discussing this. Believe most people think rape is the type of stuff you see in horror films. However young adults need to be aware about control, abuse, intimidation in domestic relationships. The problem is this type of stuff is so common and there might be a pressure to treat MG as a scape goat. Domestic relationships can be a total nightmare to unravel and you can expect MG to have a viable defence with some mud slinging in his girlfriends direction. His money and fame probably gives him a faux power so he thinks he can do whatever he wants and his girlfriend should feel lucky to be with him. MG has destroyed his future, let's hope others learn from these events.

Heard the audio tape . Absolutely disgusted on the situation. He was fully aware what was going on and still tortured her. The family of Harriet is idiotic as well how can they say he is a part of the family after this situation.
As someone who’s been raped, it’s honestly awful to see other people go through this. And what’s scary is the comments feom people on social media, who still don’t seem to understand the severity of the actions, that Mason, may or may not have done.
It’s awful. For someone who kept this inside for years out of shame, people don’t realise how awful it is to go through. So I can only say how brave Harriet was to go through it. I’d never wish this on anyone. Honestly. And those who don’t personally understand what she’s going through, speak to females, everyone seems to have a story of wanted attention from someone, this kind of treatment etc.

Also, unfortunately I didn’t. It was the classic case of being young and drunk, and left alone in a club and unfortunately I bumped into him and drunkenly trusted him to help me get home safe because he went to my school and was a few years above me. So although I’d never spoken to him, he knew people I knew so that’s kind of where it went downhill. But, you know, positives came out of it, I always now make sure to look out for vulnerable people and make sure that I’m always sober enough when getting home etc.
When these vermin get away with it, it emboldens them. Anyway, I appreciate your response and hopefully you’re in a better place now. Your concern for other people shows your humanity and we need more people like that. Take care and have a great life ✌️

It’s horrific to see how it’s still not believed…even in the very rare case that photo or video evidence is available. All the “non believer” comments are the reason why women, even today, are still too scared to report.

Well said, I agree with the comments conveyed via this video: I honestly feel for the woman nobody should endure such pain within in a relationship. The allegations portrayed upon mason are very serious and if it is tru: which by now most certainly is due to audio evidence etc. im sure he will get what he deserves a worthy sentence. Mason clearly knew what he was doing in those audio recordings and as much as I wish for it to be fake there Is too much information against him that by now it's almost impossible to be faked. I wish the best for Harriet she showed immense courage coming out and telling the community about what was happening to her. Absolutely sickening

@@jhaych there is other evidence, such as photos in which u can clearly see the amount of pain the women went through in the relationship. Although u are right and for now it's mainly speculation, if the evidence given is true he will surely get what he deserves

It’s absolutely horrendous the way , these victims are treated in court, barrister’s ripping them to shreds and belittling them and basically accusing them of lying, these people are innocent victims.
