I love how you didn't put people on the cover because so many writers do that and I keep imagining the character a different way instead of the cover and I feel absolutely conflicted.
Ughhhh you can do it all, can't you? You're so talented and motivated, makes me jealous!
Your attention to all the details is just unbelievably good. You come up with things that I sit here and think, I would have been stumped on how to work that out. And your reasoning behind the cover is honestly brilliant. I have several friends who are cover artists and would completely agree with you. A beautifully done!
I love how detailed you are about everything. Making the cover on your own, the map, drawing the characters. It's just lovely.

Klaire, I REALLY appreciate your videos. You're talented, skilled, devoted, but I'm in Australia so I can't read your book. I'm sure it's great, but with all these Outsider videos, no offense to you, I'm kind of clueless as to what it's all about, but it's still great fun watching your time lapses, and as a drawer, you are a true inspiration. :P

I agree with you about what you said about how we're told not to judge a book by it's cover but it seems that it's relegated more towards people but people do tend to do that with books. I'm planning on making a book pretty soon, thank you this helps.

I can't wait to get the book! Too excited :) I have to say I really admire all the ambition you have, I finished my first book about 6 months ago and have just been sitting on it. I feel like I could have done better and I'm not too thrilled by the story, or maybe I'm worried others won't be. You should do a video for aspiring writers on how to stay motivated and such! :)

Dang girl. I wish I could do stuff like that! For my wattpad book, I was thinking about just taking a pic of myself and having the clothing and makeup done the way that the main character has, but I I have different eye and hair colors and unfortunately don't have the money to buy wigs or contacts. Luckily on the site they have people who can do the covers for free and the cover is fine for now :D

I've written my own book of short stories that I'm looking to get published but it's amazing to see people write full-length books, especially imaginative fictional universes. What was your writing process like? How did you push yourself over bumps, find the motivation to finish?

wouldn't it have been easier to just put the veil over your face and turn like a fan on to make the fabric pull to one side like that? i mean you used your own face cast anyway, it seems like a lot of work when you could just use you >.< either way the cover looks great!

No offense, but to have someone look over your manuscript for McGuffins and errors (in punctuation and comprehension) could help some with readability.

It sounds like the publisher gave you lots of freedom with your book, such as letting you design your own cover. Is that usual, do you know?
It's not usual at all which is why I self published. I already knew a fantastic editor and formatter so it gave me the creative freedom to do exactly what I wanted provided I worked hard at it :)
