Agreed episode 5 was the best by far, I think the strongest we’re episode 2 and 5. Seems like they like these build up episodes that they use to set up the next.

People loved episode 3 but I was kinda torn because in the game Joel and Ellie’s interaction with bill was one of my favorite parts of the game and they literally just disregarded it completely! SMH.
The theme park seen in this episode is Worlds of Fun in Kansas city, MO.......... The 3 rides seen are Mamba, TimberWolf, and Detonator........ This episode was mostly filmed in Canada but parts were filmed in Kansas City, MO..........
Some Spoiler free game v show info, the setting for this part the Game was Pittsburgh, Kathleen and Perry(guy with the grey beard) were not in the game. The guy that played Perry was the voice actor for Tommy (Joel's Brother) in the game, and the Pun book is also part of the game in the certain areas if you choose to interact with Ellie she will pull the book out and rattel of a few jokes and first time she does this is in the Pittsburgh area. oh and some of the stuff in the hotel in the 2nd episode like Ellie goofing around at the reception desk take place at this point in the games story.
Your next HBO Max show should be Chernobyl. It's a five episode miniseries based on the true story of the explosion at the Chernobyl power plant. It was written by the same man who wrote the script for The Last of Us show.
