    Let me know how you feel about the full-on in depth videos, did this video go too far with the information? let me know if this 30 minute monster was too much!

    • @TaoToecan
      @TaoToecan 7 років тому +5

      The length was okay for me, as I like to get as much information as I can about a subject in a single place ^^
      I tried the Valkyre early on in the game (without much stability) and it felt really aweful, and when I got the Sweeper it felt like a much better version of it, especially with a trigger-happy finger and when you know how to move your mouse down slowly. I should give the Valkyre another try i guess :)
      The Sweeper IV with 2x mods, more damage for last % of clip and kinetic coil + Headshot/Weak Point bonus from Assault Rifles + Turbocharge let's me take down an Architect way faster than my Dahn with a Bio-Converter + kinetic coils + Turbocharge and maxed Shotguns (probably because the legs and head are all weakpoints?).

      I truly enjoy your comparisons and recommendations, even if I do not always agree. I do have one suggestion: if possible: if you could print the recommended augments and/ or mods, it would be of help to those that typically use Close Captions for vids. Thanks!

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      +TaoToecan aah excellent :) and very nice setup, I also found the Dhan to be kinda terrible on Architects, I use a Piranha specifically for them, i'll be building an architect only Piranha very soon, it went through the legs like nothing else, I'm considering a bio converted isharay for the head however, needs a little more research.
      Thank you very much for the feedback :)

      +Eldon Whisler very glad to hear, thx for letting me know and what exactly do you mean by print? that video is fully subtitled, do you mean list it in the description? I can do that if it'll help :)

  • @tuckerhazel
    @tuckerhazel 7 років тому +1

    So I've fought with the Sweeper v. N7 Valkyrie decision through 2.5 play throughs and here's what I found for those debating the burst fire guns.
    The N7 does a little more damage, seems to have less recoil (or at least more manageable from only firing two shots rather than 3) and the bursts fire closer to one another from the higher fire rate. This all at the cost of clip size, and accuracy. The Sweeper obviously the opposite. My opinion after going back and forth, researching them both up to level 10 and working on them both with every mod combination is that if you use powers regularly, the N7 with a vintage heat sink is your way to go. Pump out some damage, use your powers while it recharges. Rinse, wash, repeat. If you do more shooting and less power usage, choose the sweeper. There is less of a delay from when you stop shooting to when the gun starts recharging ammo, the 3 round burst while a little harder to control does more damage per burst from the additional shot. Another issue to consider is the N7 uses a hitscan and the Sweeper uses a projectile so you might have to lead your targets with the Sweeper. Other than that those two are very close and it will probably boil down to a slight preference and/or available research data.

  • @Kelkschiz

    I think this video setup is ideal, especially with the addition of the time links in the description. So the viewer get the control to get all the info he wants and the duration or just jump to the one segment he needs.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      Aye, it's a tough decision to include the timestamps as youtube rates a video on the percentage of it watched, so using the timestamps is actually a bad thing for the videos promotion throughout youtube, it's part of the reason my newer vids since this one have done a little worse because people aren't watching as much of it so youtube deems it not as good.
      But saying that, these videos are long and I wouldn't feel right not including them, 20-30 mins is too much to expect folk to watch

    • @Kelkschiz
      @Kelkschiz 7 років тому

      That is all true of course but I think you are overlooking a factor. If your videos are high quality and geared towards the viewer, viewers are more likely to subscribe, like, and watch your videos on other topics. Which will then increase the rating and watch time on your channel. To be honest making creative decisions based on the promotion policy of UA-cam seems wrong to me. Although I do understand the desire and struggle to get more exposure.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому +1

      I agree completely, which is why it's there hehe,
      The average watch time on my channel is steadily increasing as these vids are longer because of so much info, my older ones were quick or long an uninteresting, it was more the singular percentage I meant, for the channel, percentage doesn't mean much it's the average minutes itself.
      Essentially I'm trying my best to stick to the integrity side over business wherever possible

    My #1 gun that has never left me down surprisingly is the Sandstorm with the Plasma Charge System, strange combination but damn it works well on taking out multiple enemies effectively, smashing the big ones down hard and not caring about accuracy because the explosions end up making hitting enemies easy

    i agree 95% with this :) the Mattock is my favorite precision weapon because of my trigger finger biceps making it just as fast as most automatic. True i have yet to actually been needing to play with a bio-converter so i wouldnt know the downsides. But sandstorm is just to slow and does the same that my N7-Valiant already does but worse. otherwise keep up the awesome job and i love your in debt analysis of augments. Definitely some guns i need to go out and have fun with. BTW my load-out is Piranha, Mattock and Black widow.

    Great review! I do think that you missed an opportunity with the N7 Valkyrie though. An automatic fire mod paired with extended mag size eats through almost anything, and with it's accuracy the recoil is very predictable and easy to control.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      +Paul Grayson The auto fire augment wasn't released for a while after I made this video unfortunately. My most recent MEA video covers the weapons better than any others and is fully up to date. The Valkyrie has a big part.

  • @MrTheAngryLlama
    @MrTheAngryLlama 7 років тому +1

    Soned can do some pretty crazy things using the omni vents skill and turbocharge. Throw a vintage heat sink in it and as many mods and skills that boost clip size as you can. Hold fire button until nearly empty, hit turbocharge to instantly reload and increase clip size/rof. Yo pretty much fire for about 20+ seconds straight. As soon as turbocharge ends hit a tech skill to reduce its cooldown by 50% (omni vents only says tech skills, apparently works with all skills) and you will almost be able to repeat ad nauseum.

    I really liked this video, and it really gave me a good idea of which weapons I should experiment with given my playstyle. I did have one question: I don't know how effective some of the behavior augments are when combined (the seeking and explosive plasma augments certainly come to mind). If a video on augment combinations isn't feasible, I may try it tonight and update this post so you can try it yourself and give a recommendation.

    Just wanted to add one thing here. I really enjoy your work, you are doing a great job so don't get discouraged. You have great content and, like me, you go the extra mile to show not only the best, but why it's the best. I enjoy your content and if I ever get another chance to continue my UA-cam I will highly recommend your channel in my videos for reference is its related. I would trust your judgment.
    Any way, still looking into mixed mod combinations. So far the sticky grenade is hands down the best augmentation for assault rifles in my opinion. That being said, i prefer it on the PAW sense it already comes with a never ending supply of ammo and has a descent magazine. Any high mag assault rifle should do great with this mod. That being said, I don't have very many, would you mind testing out the mod on a larger magazine weapon. combo it with the vintage heat sink and let me know how it goes. I'm very curious.
    On the PAW its amazing. My reasoning:
    Infinite ammo without wasting a Vintage Heat Sink
    Great amount of damage, even more than any other augmentation I have found thus far
    Though small, has AOE damage. Bonus to that is not only can it do some damage to nearby enemies but it also detonates nearby explosive canisters. No BS on this, I took down a FIEND in one magazine because of this. He was charging and as my grenades went off, they hit several nearby canisters causing insane damage. Swear, 100% to 20% in just a few seconds.
    The grenades are actually very accurate and do not drop off so you don't have to ark the weapon.
    The only draw back is you lose critical hit damage but the greatness far outweighs the negative.
    Sorry the long box but I wanted to let you know what I found. In a side note, I have not combined the Vintage Heat Sink with the sticky grenades so it may have unwanted side effects. Either way, give it a shot and let me know what you think. I really think you'll add it to your arsenal.

    Thokin + Bio converte + Electrical conduits is hands down the best op insanity gun in the game for me. idk why no one is using this.
    if u try this u will know what im talking about. Electrical conduits on thokin for some reason give you AUTO AIM not the shitty seeking plasma kind but real AUTO AIM, it does not work on paw or any other gun only Thokin, also it make hight electrical arc that sometime SHOOT OF COVER. u have to roll with at lest 2 tech skills for this to work but i face roll insanity with it and its the only gun in my load out. ps: get high clips and use sentinel to cut down the Bio converte dmg.

      yeah the dmg is very good but the best part is that you can forces all your attention on power timing and dogging instead of aiming and still hit 100% of the time even at far range. i use charge/energy drain/clock and i never need cover nor die on insanity

      To be fair any weapon you are using against an architect should also have a battlefield assist module attached as you don't want to be taking damage when fighting an architect so you'll get the most out of it.

      But yeah Glad to be here and that I actually took the time to check out more of yer stuff. I dunno if you have already done it, but I was curious if you have made a video about the effects of ME Andromeda weapon augs that modify the way a projectile behaves when combined together on various weapon types. You know plasma charge and the like, added to single fire, burst, and full auto rifles as an example. I have been curious to see what can and cannot be combined and if it can, in what order/way does it need to be combined inorder to achieve a desired result.
      Get what I mean or is that about as clear as mud?

      The behaviour augments video is my most viewed vid :), was one of my original Andromeda ones, but it is currently out of date, and needs revisiting, which is on my list for the next week or so, I have well over 100 hours more experience in pure weapon and augment testing since I made that video, so the revisit will provide far better and more accurate info.

    Another excellent video, glad I subscribed.
    Only thing I will say is that I still favour the PAW over any other full-auto. The Thokin is alright but I find shields are a lot more common than armour and.... dat accuracy.
    But yes, informative video. Moar plz :)

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому +1

      Thank you kind sir!
      And tbh, as an overall choice for a loadout build, I would always pick my Dhan with bio, double mod and 3 anti armour augs for Armoured targets, meaning that the P.A.W. being better at pure shields would be better than the thokin.
      That's the trouble with looking at things as the singular, if you only have 1 wep, then thokin, if you want a specialised shield wep, the paw.

    • @Jerokhna

    I know it has nothing to do with this vid specifically, but you should make a vid about the fact that the "automatic firing mod" also makes weapons using the "plasma charge system" also fire fully automatic if you hold the trigger slightly. Which allows you to have weapons shooting 3 shots FULLY AUTO instead of single shots, only thing is that you cant use the autofire mod on already automatic weapons...🤔

    Find that the N7 Valkyrie works pretty well with a Sticky Grenade augment, as the accuracy can place both hits well on target. Also, if the target is concealed or in cover, indirect damage may apply from the nearby AoE. It may not be a heavy hitter, but is a fine utility weapon.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      I wouldn't have thought the sticky grenades would make it any easier as if you can land those you can land the bullets, or does the augment slow the projectiles a little which somehow makes it a little easier to judge?

    • @eldonwhisler8403
      @eldonwhisler8403 7 років тому

      In my lesser experience, I aim the first shots for center mass on humanoid targets; second shot will more likely be in the head range. And as mentioned, the small AoE will aid with a near miss, and possibly dislodge the target from cover. And I am uncertain, but adding an Ammo type seems to help peel needed armor, shields, etc.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      aye, as far as I know, incendiary for armour, disrupter for shields.
      and cool, with time you could certainly get used to aiming for the second one to hit bang on head, one of those things that would require a bit of training in it.

    I heard my friend say the Halberd scales in the store despite saying "Halberd I" if you have one in your inv, the NEWLY purchased one will be discarded, and the first lower scaled one will remain (So you need to discard it before purchasing a new one), similar to how weapon mods would only allow a single instance of theirself in your inv (You may only have ONE pistol barrel of +15% damage, unless it's one of those gimmick +15% dmg -20% acc ones, or simple a lower level)
    Without testing myself, it's all hear say though, sorry. I believe the recent patch allowed duplicate mods too, so you can actually have multiple of the same weapon classes using PROPER MODS now! Perhaps this also allows for multiple Halberd Is as well? The inventory only allowing 1 of an item seemed like an oversight, so I'd hope it no longer deletes stuff you buy...

    I have a revenant with a sticky grenade launcher, and some other augments and mods. I also have a revenant with plasma seeking augmentation and others augmentations and mods. that way I have one for doing damage when there are a lot of enemies close together (grenade launcher variant). when they have no armor it tends to stun them which helps lower how many guns are firing at me, which is always helpful. and another for when they are spread out a bit and behind cover (plasma seeking. I have used sticky grenade to hurt those behind barriers though)

    Falcon and Equalizer are the two best rifles and pistols that I have come across. Falcon at long distance takes skill to lob the shot, but its fantastic, both are great as stock weapons, and if you add mods they are kickass.

  • @Flakzor123
    @Flakzor123 7 років тому +1

    Actually you can get the soned accurate by using a beam emitter instead of the seeking plasma augment.
    it basically comes down to preference of the 2 things: 1) seeking plasma which has quite some traveltime to target and may be evaded occasionally by enemies or 2) instant laserbeam.
    I am not really familiar with any drawbacks of the beam emitter augment though, there really should be some... maybe the gun loses force? in any case since you can forget about accuracy with either augment you can stack up on weapondamage in your gear instead.
    For users who do not want to use bio-converter the soned coupled with turbocharge skill is nice since each activation of turbocharge conjures up a full clip in the gun even if your spare ammo is gone.

    • @XainesWorld

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      it doesn't change the actual stats, nor does the conduits or plasma charge, it's very annoying, it's like they have their own equation for damage or even just their own flat damage that overrides the base damage of the weapon.

      Shield Drain or Overload/Bolt/Incinerate or Singularity/Charge/Shield Drain.
      Sure, Combat powers offer more burst damage by launching them all off at once, and then you can't do anything, with the Exception of Concussive and Turbocharge. Concussive shot is basically Bolt and Turbocharge's usefulness depends entirely on the gun you have. Early game, that usefulness is none. Late game, it's either meh or not useful.
      The first combo has more reliable damage output as you don't need to constantly go back to refil your powers, and can get off multiple detonations in a single run through should you get Bolt to 6 and have it run on shields. You can instead spec for 5 chain overload and 2 area incinerates, with bolt you can get over 3 tech explosions right on top of each other.
      Singularity primes everything for charge spam, easily lasting 4 charges, while Charge and Shield drain mean even on insanity you can stand out in the open just fine, unless Charge bugs out.
      Sure, burst damage isn't as good as Grenade/Mine/Concussive spam, but it's still a really powerful burst, particularly at high level, and you can run it constantly, clearing both large groups and single people with the same ease.
      And because all your points are in the two trees, that makes the passives for Tech and Biotics better, and Sentinal is incredibly useful.
      My final package is just Remnant VI/Assault Turret/Cloak, which with maxed CD reduction quickly provides you new team mates while you revive yours unmolested. With that package running Engineer, you can literally do nothing but spawn bots and occasionally revive, and win the game without actually fighting.
      Sure, with limited points in combat for passives Vangaurd isn't going to become a powerful profile, but it's ridiculous at rank 1 anyway.

    Excellent analysis for those of us who enjoy the min-max aspect of RPGs.
    I have one query regarding receiver mods, from what i've seen there's no mention in the mods tooltip of increased headshot/weak spot damage. Is this baked into the "penetration damage" % bonus or is it a hidden stand-alone one?

    On my Valkyrie I mod it with full auto augment, kinetic coil, then have augments for biotic damage/recharge and double mod slots. Mods I use are barrel, magazine, stock, receiver. This turns the Valkyrie into the best full auto assault rifles in the game due to have the full auto augment giving it a larger magazine size, easily manageable recoil, while taking not hits to it's accuracy. It does get a damage reduction but it is still far higher then any full auto weapon in the game. It's rather brutal.

    All reviews seem to miss a really good Augmentation for the Sandstorm. This rifle is very accurate and you do not have to waste a mod slot for accuracy as it is already accurate. It is also very stable so again no wasted mod slot for stability. Now.........put the Burst Fire augment on this rifle and enjoy. Even at range it hits with multiple hits and just eats up enemies. Try it you will love it.
    I play as an Adept so Bio Converter is not an option and in reality there is no shortage of ammo in this game , ammo boxes are everywhere. As for the vintage heat sink most of the time I find it to be a problem not a solution as it cuts down my reload time and overheats very quickly most of the time and also conflicts with other very good augments and the use of some augments will not allow the vintage heat sink in any event. Such as if you put a shield oscillator on the Isharay........the game will not allow you to also use the heat sink. However 25 percent shield each shot is much more valuable than unlimited ammo when ammo is not really a concern to begin with. And you do have a backup .........eh........there is only one enemy in this game where you might run out of ammo and that is the Destroyer in the Remnant Tiller, depending on what weapon you have that one situation is the only one in the game where ammo might become a concern. And that is not really a concern as like I said......you do have a back up eh??
    Try burst fire on the Sandstorm, it becomes the perfect assault rifle. For mods add a large clip size, a penetrating receiver ,and a higher damage barrel and you are all set. Of course as an Adept I just hit the Destroyer with singularity and shockwave combo and eat up its shields and then burn it down with the Sandstorm. A Krogan Bemoth..Bemouth........whatever they are are easily dealt with with burst fire on the Sandstorm and all other enemies are considered lesser enemies and the Burst Fire just eats them for lunch. Of course you can also switch profiles in mid fight for more weapon damge if you prefer. Use them that is what they are for.
    Cheers!

    Question: I was thinking about running a Revenant primary build, either going full Soldier or Inflitrator because both give you accuracy passives, maxing out the AR passive tree as well as using Pathfinder armour for accuracy bonuses; with all those accuracy bonuses, plus turbo charge, do you think it could be fairly good?

      Yes but so would some other guns, I can't say for sure as I have yet to play insanity, ill be doing as my second playthrough, but with all of these buffs etc just remember while one gun might be good with loads of buffs, those buffs also increase the other weapons.
      I know a few viewers play insanity and swear by their revenant, so if that's what you want to use as your weapon, it's definitely doable, I hear it's better at the higher levels, as in more usable.
      While I haven't tested, that build does sound fairly good, worth a try at least

    Bet you didn't expect your guides to be viewed in 2022. It was weird watching the N7 Valkyrie used *without* full autofire. The Sandstorm is great - I knew I'd like it when I noticed it came with a scope. LOL
    The P.A.W. really needs to be leveled - it's a game changer in the multiplayer - most of the weapons really need to be at Level 10 to get an accurate reading on them. It's useful knowing how they stack up against each other at Level 2, but too much should not be read into it.

    1. What do you think about a lightning Revenant? It should remove the problem of low accuracy and it fries targets pretty fast.

      If you're considering a different AR the Thokin might prove well if you like the revenant, it hit super hard in comparison and is a little more satisfying to use, might even be switching my sandstorm for it soon.

    First off, Loved the video. It was worth the 30 minutes, easily. I had one question though. What about the sticky grenade mod on the falcon? you wouldn't have to worry about the ricochet as much, and you can fire a the ground near or walls behind enemies in cover without need to worry about an overzealous bounce here or there. Just curious, I intend to try it my self but I was just wondering about your opinion on it.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      This was pointed out about 30 mins ago, I had no idea the sticky grenade negated the effect of the ricochet, if I did, I would have definitely suggested it's use.
      There's nothing in the text that would imply it takes it off so just had no idea really.
      Using that mod increases the value of the falcon by a mile for sure.

  • @Jerokhna
    @Jerokhna 7 років тому

    Revenant is also pretty good with beam emitter and vintage heat sink. Solves the accuracy issue and it's large magazine means you can drill enemies for a long time without needing to cool down. Same goes for the M-8 Avenger. High ranking Paw has a very large magazine and simply becomes all around more awesome as you reach MK X. And then my Mattock X simply pierces everything with extremely high damage per shot and being precise, it doubles as a very good sniper rifle backup.

    • @Jerokhna
      @Jerokhna 7 років тому

      Basically, testing everything on a MK2 grade weapon really limits what each gun can actually do. MK X's normally have much better accuracy, stability, clip size, max ammo size... overall, better stats all around and gets even more benefit from the various mods.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      When I originally tested the beam emitter it didn't appear to alter the accuracy, maybe it was the gun I used, otherwise I would have considered that augment for testing.
      The P.A.W. is on par with the top pick in that class, it's better than the top pick at shield just not armour, if building a wep specifically for shields, i'd definitely agree with PAW.
      Again the mattock was very close with the sandstorm in my testing, the sandstorm also makes a great sniper rifle, I think that one might be down to just personal opinion on it.
      We both just like the other one.
      Yes it does limit, but it limits all of the guns and as I have no access to rank X I cannot do that, the only real difference here would be the strength of the burst weapons, Valkyrie for example will get far more powerful in comparison to the others weapons at the higher levels due to increased stability allowing for that second shot to hit more often and at longer ranges, at top hitting for double headshots fairly easily.
      Otherwise they are all kind of equally crippled at rank 2.

    • @Jerokhna
      @Jerokhna 7 років тому

      Mattock and Sandstorm grow a lot more (being precision rifles) at higher ranks by basically doubling clip size and damage. I haven't tested Soned with a beam emitter or electrical conduits since I haven't really put research into it yet. But also, if you get the right cryo pod perks as you level, you can get the extra augment slot (5 total) that really makes a difference in weapon performance. I definitely agreed with your opinion on the grenade launching assault rifle. It felt way too niche to actually be useful because of the innate half-sticky/half-ricochet function. In the end, a large number of the weapons don't really come into their own until MK V or MK VI for the late/end-game versions of themselves.

    • @XainesWorld

      +Jerokhna hhmm, does the Sandstorm and mattock level differently then? As in grow apart in performance?

    • @Jerokhna
      @Jerokhna 7 років тому

      I don't have the Sandstorm as high as the Mattock but they do grow at different rates with more emphasis on different stats. Kind of the same for all the weapons really. Armors are the only linear growth pattern from MK1-10.

    What's your opinion of the N7 Valkyrie as an Automatic? I've been using it and finding it pretty handy on Hardcore, with VHS so I don't have to worry about ammo (Bio-Converter I'm just not comfortable with due to the clip size issue with VHS). The clip is rather low, unfortunately, but it puts a lot of high-power rounds downrange, and it recharges while I'm dodging around (which I tend to do a decent amount of, especially against things like Architects), using powers or melee (IE, Energy Drain or vanguard charging into a melee to recharge shields, or health as well with a Carfalon) or to put my head down so I can recharge defenses for a moment.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      Heya, yeah I love the Valkyrie with auto, it's the best assault rifle, the Auto augment wasn't out when I made this video, you should checkout my final video on the weapons in MEA, it is far more up to date and uses far more accurate data (gathered directly from the game files)
      ua-cam.com/video/yoPDsTbgRlA/v-deo.html
      I also covered an architect specific build which I used as an addition to my main setup, where I opted for the Piranha as primary weapon with a few modifications and in conjuction with some skills that buffed it's power to the point that on hardcore I could take a leg in less than a clip, and the face in one shot more than a clip.
      Skirmisher Build (The Architect build is within it) ua-cam.com/video/QMzOoDtoQmw/v-deo.html
      Also the bio vs clip size thing, it only has a low clip size as you have the vhs on it, which takes 70% off the clip size, the bio doesn't do this.

      unfortunately, the sticky grenade has been nerfed in the latest patch and without it I wouldn't recommend the falcon, the PAW with sticky grenades used to be the best automatic vs armour, the PAW with elec is still the best anti shield as far as I can tell (I'm doing testing atm so cant be certain just yet).

(BTW, come to think of it, once I've added elec to my PAW V, I'll be losing range on it - so, at lest in terms of range, it might actually make more sense to go for a version that's more "snipery." Up close I rely more on singularity, followed by charge, followed by melee. I have been using the non elec PAW to soften up enemies before I charge them, then a little squirt to finish them off if singularity+charge+annihilation+melee doesn't do the trick.)

      if it's temporary while you get like 3 levels to fill up shotguns then just use the paw with whatever, no point spending a crap tonne of research on a temporary measure.
      Long term I cant really say as nothing makes sense in stats we have and what they say we should have, working on shotguns now but will be doing assault rifles next

    Hey Xaine, love your Videos. Not much of an automatic rifle nut. But was wondering if you could give advise between the Burst Fire and Semi-Automatic Rifles. (Balanced and Precision as you would put it.) I'm torn between the Valkyrie which comes highly recommended here in the Balanced category and the Sandstorm that's in a different group. Any thoughts on the two? I know its apples versus oranges but I would like to hear your thoughts. Much appreciated. Thanks!

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      I started with the Valkyrie, then went to the Sandstorm, I got bored of both somewhat quickly.
      I've now opted for a shotgun and sniper to cover all bases and if I were to go for an AR it's likely be automatic, probably the PAW or thokin.
      I personally found the burst to feel laggy, it's not, but the secondary shot kind of adds a fake lag feel to it as you cant just switch targets super quick, you have to give it a sec to fire the second shot.
      That's why I prefer precision to burst, but it's difficult to give advice on this to someone with their own preference

      +Xaine's World well for what it's worth, I love using the Mattock to death. I don't think I will be playing too much ranged as I prefer the Vanguard and Sentinel at Medium to Close Range.

      The mattock may not be crazy high DPS, but its certainly usable, if you enjoy that weapon then keep using it, there's no need to min max

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      +Tim Everett tbh, the numbers are just in text on the screen to, but it's difficult to compare them to each other without referencing them so i did it fully to not miss anything

    • @timeverett59
      @timeverett59 7 років тому

      Xaine's World sorry I wasn't clear. I mean you having to read the numbers. Again kinda makes it a bit droning. The material is already pretty droll but your experience with augments, mods, and skills helps me make a decision on which weapon to try first. Perhaps words like "highest stability in class being a full auto is truly surprising" (not in reference to anything just example). Everything else is GREAT! I really like the video example above the gun stats with your comments especially. I appreciate the top list with augments and mods in your comments. Again great overall. All the best and always have fun.

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому +1

      Your feedback is much appreciated, it's the only way I can make things better :),
      Tbh, i'd quite like to skip all the numbers vocal wise as it kinda prolongs the video more than it needs to, but I fear expecting most to both listen and read what's on the screen (make sense of my comments via the stats on screen) is expecting more than is realistic, so I double up to cover all bases.
      The long ass explanations etc are why I've been paying more attention to cutting things up to more manageable chunks, like pistols is 3 videos instead of one.
      Thank goodness it is as it would have been 40 mins otherwise :/
      But for the most part the overly informative approach has been received quite well, so it seems unwise to change that aspect fully, but I will definitely bear your comments in mind on the next video of this type to see if I can at least smooth it out a little.
      Funny how long my reply here is considering the subject matter :D

    @rsajay6256 7 років тому

    Thanks for doing all the legwork Xaine 👍 I notice you don't use the beam conversion? although I didn't check the video date before commenting, maybe this was pre beam... Anywho, the beam adds +200% to stability, this means the N7 Valkyrie with a stock can hold a headshot beam (beam turns it into a full auto as opposed to 2-round burst) at pretty extreme ranges with almost no muzzle movement at all (this on my second playthrough as a biotic with AR skills at 5 iirc). I normally build mine with beam, and kinetics. I love the heatsink but not here. This thing is such an OP beast I don't use it all the time, so the low ammo thing isn't a problem. Teamed with incendiary ammo and Lance or Push a focused biotic toon can chain detonate a whole room of Kett for less than half a magazine and you still have a pull ready to prime a biotic combo and something to detonate. Regular Kett grunts you drop by tapping mb1 twice with the gun at level VII which uses 2 or 3 of the available ammo. and twice that much for the shielded ones. Using just this weapon at level VII and biotics the Kett boss on Voeld went down after his second shield drop, and without me needing to pick up ammo, it's just sooo accurate, just point and melt 😆

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      Nws :) and yes this was way before the Beam Emitter was fixed, te Beam video I've been working on would alrewady be out if it wasn't for the patch 1.09 coming out, should be a day or 2 until it's out, I've been holding back he Beam till I could find out exactly how the formula for it works.
      Regarding your Valkyrie, the stock isn't needed, the 200 stability maxes it out, I find with that mod you can leave out the double mod extension as you need no scope either as it has perfect accuracy to and just have barrel and receiver.
      There is a far higher damage weapon to use with it to, there's actually a fair few higher dps than the Valkyrie with this augment, but you'll have to wait for the vid :D.
      Never tried that combo against the kett mini bosses but I usually down them in a single shield drop on insanity, but my build is focused on buffing weapons, debuffing enemies and burst, if you're curious, I've made build videos for it, there's a short and long version, it's called the Run and Gun skirmisher build.
      Though i'll be looking more into biotics now.

    i don't think there are any assault rifles that require a scope except the markman style rifles (that are ment for mid to longer range engagements) that do require them for longer range accuracy, for the P.A.W there is a constant stream of attack with almost no drift unlike any other assault rifle in mass effect andromeda it also has the highest accuracy available for assault class rifles (which are generaally ment for close to mid range engagements), they are great for easy and normal runs but there are no rifles that can deal damage very heavily in higher difficulties (so best go for a shotgun biotic god type build for those difficulties), it's generally best to use a barrel along with some kind of extended clip mags, a bio converter and electrical conduit also suit the assault rifles except for certain rifles.

    How did the PAW with electric conduits work against the architects?
    I'm trying it out now with electric, bio, double mod, and kinetic and it seems to do less dmg than a Valkyrie with full auto, beam, double mod and kinetic. Will full auto help on a PAW?

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      +Gorango27 no weapons or weapon augments have any effects that deal more damage versus synthetics (what architects are classed as) only a few powers have synthetic buffs, so it's a case of pure damage, in which the Valkyrie obliterates the paw

    Am seeking advice for an AR. Sticky Grenades seem to be nerfed, and my past models are now ineffective. I see a utility AR that is helpful against mobs, and perhaps concealed foes. What AR design is recommended? Thx

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому +1

      +Eldon Whisler tbh ARs are intended for accuracy at mid range, so I stand by the Valkyrie with auto, bio double mod and coils, but AOE utility, the best I've found is the Talon with plasma charge like in the ultimate weapons vid. Many people like the Falcon, but I feel it's annoying and not very great in DMG.

    • @eldonwhisler8403
      @eldonwhisler8403 7 років тому

      Thx! Someone used to speak of a Stick Grenade PAW, but that would seemingly be lessened now, too. And for now, I have no Bio-Converter, so would have to go Vintage Heat Sink or something else

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому +1

      +Eldon Whisler aye, it was Dark Saint favourite setup, but then it got nerfed :(, depending how you use it the vintage could be a plus or a hindrance, if you rarely empty the clip in one go then go vintage if not then just don't have any as the overheat recharge is around a second longer than most reloads

    • @eldonwhisler8403
      @eldonwhisler8403 7 років тому

      Would burst fire be better than auto for a Vintage Heat sink? And if the Valkyrie cannot use burst, I can now change from it to another AR

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому +1

      +Eldon Whisler well, the Valkyrie is burst, but the burst doesn't work better no, the delay on the burst is shorter than the recharge delay

    Using P.A.W with dmg increase and clip size increase. Loving it for unlimited ammo and uber accuracy.
    One thing I don't understand is why you use half assault half sniper rifle? If you are at 70-100m range, use sniper rifle with 1k dmg and 5clip size. Those hybrids assault/sniper is very bad at versatility. My opinion...

    • @XainesWorld
      @XainesWorld  7 років тому

      that kind of what the precision class is for, it's semi sniper semi assault rifle, much lower weight than a sniper and isn't horrendously zoomed in on the scope for mid range.
      Though in reality I find myself preferring to run closer and use my uber'd up Dhan, so may be switching to a high power SR and a shield focused P.A.W. or Equalizer very soon.
