I used to play in a band with a young man that worked there in the early 90s. John was a one off..even let me use the workshop to de fret a bass guitar.

I never thought at my age,58. I'd pay more for a guitar than I would for a USA brand Fender. Don't know why I did that, but I know I did. Not got it yet, a few more weeks to wait.

The way we see it is you can either buy a USA production line guitar with average quality control for a very similar price, or a custom made, hand built guitar, from the UK entirely to your own specification. If you asked Fender USA to make you this guitar, as a one off, to your spec, I think it might just end up a few thousand pounds more. The guys at GS are diamonds and make stunning instruments, you will be a very happy bunny! Enjoy it.

@@BadlandsGuitars They posted photos of a 12 string GS Deluxe on their FB recently and that gave me the idea of having a matching 12 string made to go with my 6 string.

I have one of the first year model serial no 69 signed by Vinnie - indeed it is 44mm thick apparently Honduras mahogany one piece body, and of course double cut away. Dual truss rod !
Unfortunately the previous owner fitted EMG81's and routed it for Kahler which I have removed (and sold for a tidy sum) and used a schaller bridge with fine tuners to hide the filled cavity, it has schaller tuners from new. It has been refretted, while the frets are level the person fitting the frets has filed away some off the side dot markers - because he did not have the correct tool

Oh, that's the guy who took my order the other day. :) Can my Classic T be my 3rd guitar ever that can play open chords without needing to be sent back for nut and fret work? I hope so. please. lol

Not too sure about the single piece body. I have a Gordon Smith Heritage Deluxe made in 2018 which is definitely a two piece body. Nice guitar though.
