Very in-depth review, and I appreciate your hard work in sharing the wigs and the differences in the brown colors. I like some red in my browns, and I also like medium browns with lowlights and highlights which make for a beautiful color wig. I got a wig called Seduction in Nutmeg that has dynamic colors and at first I thought it was a little to light but it's a light brown with lowlights and strawberry blond and some red. It's different. Previously I was ordering all kinds of Auburns from other manufacturers, dark to lighter. Paula Brown has limited colors but I think they have a new color called Sunlit Sable 14/16S6 only on certain styles though--Natalia. Beautiful color! Thanks again for sharing.
Yes, I love colors that have more dimension to them and I did a review on Natalia in Sunlit Sable--it's gorgeous (ua-cam.com/video/ce85r40l3kk/v-deo.html)! In fact, I have found that these colors that PY comes out with on a limited basis are among my absolute favorites. I just wish they offered these colors in all their wigs! Great info. Love your videos. Would love it if you would do a video on side measurements ! I like my sides to cover the sides of my chin & jowl. Not my best feature. I often find the side measurements confusing. Never sure where they begin measuring the sides to determine where they will hit. Ada looks great on you & is a good example of what I am referring to. Wondering if there is a current piece that you would recommend that would be similar in length on the sides as Ada.

This was super helpful. I ordered Paula Young's Color Me Beautiful (long) in Pecan Delight. I think the color looks darker online. It will arrive tomorrow, and with this information, I'm thinking it will work for me whereas before I was more doubtful. Thank you.

If anyone else is struggling with picking a color, PLEASE order the free sample swatches! I ordered them hoping they would come really fast, but I was so worried about my style selling out that I ordered before the swatches got to me. One wig was a winner and one was an absolute color fail.

Yes those color swatches are free but they take awhile to arrive so it’s best to order them (by phone call) when you’re in a place where you’re not trying to make a quick decision! Would also love to see some of the blondes that only come on certain styles reviewed. Looking for a cool blonde other than the platinum. I know your not a blonde wearer normally. However,a cool blonde would be very close to the greys you wear. I just am not ready for the greys yet. Like Babs I’m going grey kicking & screaming.

I used to wear Paula Young wigs and owned quite a few. Unfortunately, their quality has gone down considerably over the last 6 months and I am not comfortable ordering Paula Young wigs any longer. This quality issue they are having does not seem to affect the Jaclyn Smith lines. I have recently received 4 different Jacklyn Smith wigs and they are perfect in every way; very soft and full in beautiful colors. I really thought it was just me that was having issues with Paula Young, and I appreciate you pointing this out.
Hi Christine! There is no denying that PY has been having quality control problems, and it's been going on for quite a while. It is becoming so common that I have to return about 50% of the wigs I order due to these kind of problems, and it has begun to make me reconsider reviewing their products. I, too, have found the the JS line has not experienced these problems and I stick to that line for my personal use, as well as only ordering in JS's selected colors because I have found that the fibers for PY's colors (even when ordered on a JS style) are not of the same quality as JS colors, and break down quickly making the wig unwearable. I'm hoping that they get the message some how. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed! Thanks so much for watching and sharing! ~ Coco🥰

Thanks, Coco, for helping me to better understand these brown colors. Choosing a brown color has been difficult for me. I always thought Pecan Delight was much darker. Now, I will order something in Pecan Delight Versa Fiber to match my slightly red tone hair.

You can buy the same wig same color and each one comes a little different ! I agree PY seems to be struggling a bit ! I hope they figure it out bc of the affordability bf everyone gives up on them ! I have caramelized brown rooted in Sunset and Same color in Leading lady totally different colors ! Kind of a crap shoot these days with colors ! I know I have a Pecan rooted and I liked that color better than pecan delight ! Versa fibers are really so different!! Jaclyn Smith fibers do feel softer I are right ! Good comparison for everyone ! Thank you so much for making this video! Sooo much clarification. Like another commented, I thought Pecan Delight would be much darker. I have the color swatches for browns and grays, but your video's on colors make the differences much clearer. Is it possible to get color swatches from JS? That might help too! And thank you for taking outside also. You look perfect in all your video's, but I always wonder if the lighting you are using would make the color appear lighter?

I never knew that the Jaclyn Smith line was more brown/golden than red in the pecan delight. Excellent to know for future purchases. I've just had mostly dark brown #4 but i wanted to branch out and go lighter brown but not with a ton of red in it. Now i know what to look for. 😊
Do you own any #8 warm medium brown or #10 medium ash brown? I wonder how much red that have in them. 🤔

Hi Sandra! Thank you for your kind words! I don't have anything in the #8 or #10 colors, so I can't really speak to your questions. And with the variances in color that I find in PY, I would just order your wig in both colors, see which one you like better and then return the one you don't like. That would be the safest way to see the difference and also find out which one has more red (if any!). I hope this helps! ~ Coco

Hi I love your reviews I still torn between auburn sugar rooted and pecan delight in timeless can u tell me if the pecan delight here is jacklen smith's
I think the Pecan Delight can almost be plain-looking when compared to JS Auburn Rooted. Pecan delight on this cut (or at least on the wig I received!) is an even blend with no distinct highlights in it). JS puts so much more dimension and vibrancy in her fibers and I personally prefer the JS colors. And Auburn Sugar Rooted is very vibrant with a burgundy/auburn base with slight blonde highlights around the face and crown, so that's quite a bit different than Pecan Delight. BUT--if you already have wigs in the Pecan Delight color and are happy with them, as long as you don't have the JS colors next to her, you would be happy with it no matter what. I hope this helps! This was such a wonderful video. I love your color chart! I agree with you about Paula Young. I have been disappointed the last few times I’ve purchased from them. I had a Mason that I loved, I bought another one about a year later and it was totally different, very skimpy and out of control. I can usually work with them to make them ok, but I was disappointed with it. I’m actually kind of wary about ordering again, especially if it’s not on clearance. Anyway, this video was very helpful.
Paula needs a rich brown with bright gold highlights. Her colors are too bland.

This wig is a discontinued VersaFiber wig called Ada in the color Pecan Rooted. I know, isn't she a darling Bixie? But--discontinued????
