How did they work out for you?
You have a real gift in finding those hidden gems from Paula Young! You look great! I recently bought the Penny wig in the featured color. It's really a cute wig! The only thing that is a bit of a challenge is the short hairs they are using for permatease on the top. They need some work but other than that I love it! Your reviews of Paula Young wigs gave me the boost to try some of their styles I may have passed on. Thank you for all your wonderful reviews!

Shelby is my fav out of nearly 30 wigs! My frame is small so she is nearly shoulder length on me! I have 2 french roasts now because my first one is almost worn out and I have a Pecan delite too. French roast compared to Pecan is lighter and more golden. I love both colors!!

Hello. I would like to know what is the difference in colour S17/21 French Roast and 8/12A Pecan Delight on the Shelby wig please. I have the Pecan delight colour and just wondering if the French Toast is a lot lighter. Tks
Hi Antoinettte!! The French Roast color will be a lighter brown with golden highlights in it, verses the darker brown with subtle golden brown blended in it. As far as "a lot lighter?" That depends on what you consider a lot lighter. She's definitely going to be lighter, but maybe not too much (like being too blonde). I'd say French Roast is more like a light brown as compared to Medium-dark brown for Pecan Delight. Does this help? And thanks so much for watching and sharing!! Hugs, Coco 🤗

It’s not new, but it’s not offered in a lot of other wigs. Right now that color is offered on Leia, a long wig in clearance. But I really like this color and I think you might too!! Hugs!! ❤️❤️

No, she isn't a WhisperLite,--just their regular line of Kanekalon fibers. I know they don't always list all their wigs that are available in their catalogs. It would make the catalog much bigger and more expensive to produce/mail. But you can always do a search on their website and she will come right up! Good luck with her!! That is a very cute style and looks great on you. I have found that PY wigs can show wefts, especially at the top. I need a light color, probably 101 platinum. Does this style show wefts? Thank you.
Hi Laurie! I agree with you! But I would also say that this style is better at disguising wefts than many other PY wigs. The other factor that makes wefts show up more is the lighter the color of the wig, the easier it can be to see wefts and the edges of the cap. Having a darker root (either from the manufacturer or created after purchasing) can help a lot with that. But not every wants a dark root. So then the final answer is lots of permatease to hide the cap&wefts. This girl covers the cap pretty well, but you’d have to order the Platinum color and see. I hope this helps! ❤️❤️❤️
I finally ordered it in color 101, platinum. She is really cute. No wefts are showing. Do you find that Jaclyn Smith wigs are a bit better in hiding wefts, especially in light colors? I don’t like roots, so 101 is my color. Root’s don’t make sense to me since I never was brunette and always was light blonde.

I am natural brunette, was wondering if it is like a blonde highlighted brown or more of a blonde itself. Hard to tell on video or from catalog.
Hi Dixie! I would say that the French Roast color has very subtle lighter highlights--not very pronounced or very light in color. Just lighter shades of medium brown. Nothing very blonde about this girl!!

What rooted colors do these wigs come in.. I can’t tell by a little square swatch the rooted colors.. you do a great job of reviewing these wigs because you get them to look like a style that is wearable because the catalog pics are awful. I’m looking for a medium brown rooted and highlighted but they seem to all be so light. Godivas secret has the nicest colors but are more expensive. Paula young ought to list and show the rooted colors for each wig….it’s a gamble to buy a wig starting out just to get the right style but the color makes a difference..
Most all of PY's stock colors do not come rooted but I have a few suggestions for you! Based on your description of the color you would like to get, I would recommend that you
1) look at Paula Young's Euro Line--all the styles there will be rooted and they have a medium brown rooted color called Murano Brown. All the Euro styles will be available in this color. You can also
2) look at Jaclyn Smith's line from Paula Young. She has a Caramelized Brown Rooted color that is a truly beautiful medium brown with golden highlights and a dark root (one of my absolute favorites in the PY lines). Then you can
3) keep your eyes open for when PY offers new styles in an exclusive color blend like Caramel Bourbon or Caramel Toffee, or Tuscan Sun. These are varying shades of browns with blonde highlights and a dark root. And lastly, you can
4) look at the VersaFiber line/collection. These wigs are all rooted as well, are heat-friendly and have a color called Pecan Rooted that is a medium brown with a black root.

Would you say the French Toast is considered a brown or more of a blonde?
Hi Dixie! I would say that French Roast is a mixture of medium to light brown with a little bit of blonde highlights, so it gives you that middle of the road appearance.
