Wow, I can't believe how much the city has built near the airport since I was last there in the 70s and 80s. Back then all you could see from Surcin were farm fields and the Yugoexport building.
Most of the houses in Surčin around airport were built by Serb refugees from Croatia/Bosnia from 90s wars, so mainly built late 90s/early 00, that's the main reason for a change since big construction is not really allowed in vicinity of the airport and former governments didn't really think it through and gave them the land that nobody else wanted. I could never live that close to the airport.
