Nothing says good parenting like letting your kid go out trick-or-treating all by himself in the middle of a slew of missing children cases.
It makes me wonder if the whole town is actually in on it. The Police didn't even bother with a giant abandoned home with giant cages inside of it. The home appears to be a long time used center of operations.
@@garrettcrowl1294 That's a great point. What do they mean that the cops' efforts were for naught? The mansion's right there. And the cages are almost right in the door, just down the hall to the left and right. A literal child found the missing kids by just being a naive child. A townwide conspiracy could explain it, maybe printing the stories in the paper to keep up appearances. Or, if the police force is from out of town, they're the ones in on it, though the murderer didn't exactly look charismatic. I guess when you have a god on your side, you get to sweep things under the rug.

Or Yog-Sothoth is able to manipulate the minds of Famine Springs' citizens - like Stephen King's "It" manipulated the people of Derry.
@@lunatic0verlord10 That's definitely a possibility. I'm not sure how sustainable that id given how much time it takes to raise a child, but I imagine Yog-Sothoth, as a being that exists essentially outside time, is the very definition of patience.
I love how the Father is an immortal serial killer sacrificing children to some cosmic horror, but his son is just kind of a dick who still goes to elementary school.

The mom insist the kid to go Trick-or-treating despite the kid didn't want to, then a bully comes to the kid house just to bully the kid despite the kid house is located far from the main road, then after bullying the kid the bully stays at the kid house gate. IDK chief, this is some crazy conspiracy.

There is a pseudo joke that goes "Neighbours complained to the police about the terrible stench and screams at night coming from his house, but the officers didn't think it was worth looking into it. He then proceeded to kill four more people" for a reason
Youd be very surprised how little police can do. Its why being self defending is important and be willing to do things that arent always legal

Ah… That creature at the end is Yog-Sothoth’, The gate and the Key. He’s… uh… usually depicted as a bundle of planet-like globes, so it’s weird that they gave him a physical form, one that more accurately depicts Azathoth.

It's not Azathoth, it's Yog-Sothoth. Azathoth is the planet-sized one at the center of chaos with all the flutes around him. But yeah the design is nothing like how its described.

This is why you just buy your candy, kick your feet up and watch scary movies on Halloween. So easy to avoid stuff like this. This was a fun little Halloween game, I like how I was able to predict one element of the ending and then it just ran all the way into insanity.
Adding an X to the year in media feels like something you only see in like 80's stuff. It always gives an immediate air of "far future". Most memorable example for me is Fist of the North Star. I don't know why. It's like the small bit of uncertainty, even if it's just a ten year span like in YYYX is like things are so dire that dudes just FORGOT what year it was. Who cares? Who has time to remember the past or worry about the future when it's a fight just to live in the present?

Slightly disappointed your mother wasn’t the killer. She seemed creepy as hell in the opening. At least one alternate ending could have added a lot to it, but not too bad.

I did find it a bit suspicious that the bully was right outside the kid’s house and was just standing there. And then he suddenly appeared in front of that road before allowing you into the property. And then you meet that person in the caged window, but after opening that second gate, he/she was suddenly gone.
I bet that kid’s mother felt horrible after making her kid go trick-or-treating that night. But it’s just a game.

When Yog-Sothoth recited that passage at the end I felt like DiCaprio in that meme where he points at the tv. I was the biggest Lovecraft nerd in high school and I could recite that Yog-Sothoth passage by heart. I loved Bad Flesh and I'm glad to see this dev making more weird horror.

Before the Father could grab his son, the Flesh Guardian began melting as it screamed in agony. Its flesh bubbled like hot water, and its blood evaporated like steam.
"Foolish mortals! The Old Ones will have your heads for this! Just like how Adam suffered after eating the forbidden fruit, your great great great grandchildren will pay the toll I imbue upon you!"
The Flesh Guardian dissipated into white smoke.
The father has his head in his hands, fearful of what could happen next, while the son looks at his father in worry as to what he had just unleashed.

There is indie horror and then whatever that was! It was a point and click horror game which was heavily based on the works of H.R Giger. A soundtrack that rumbles from a Sega Megadrive / Saturn or Commodore 64 is much scarier than an entire orchestra.

This game was good but things escalated way too fast and the kid could've and should've turned around and left the second the saw blood but kept going for some reason, which is very unrealistic, also it makes no sense to go looking for candy in an old abandoned house.

Hm, by Gate, I think the monster meant The Gates of the Silver Key, one of HP’s “Randalph Carter” tales. I think it was some Dreamworld door, or a time travel portal, it wasn’t his best work and “Dreamquest of Unknown Kadath” overshadowed it.
I don't think yog-sothoth was portrayed very well. They usually don't want sacrifices to grow in power, nor would they thank you for it. They're one of the most powerful deities in the lovecraftian mythos. They pretty much have all they want. They usually only ask for sacrifices as a price for knowledge.
Besides, Yog Sothoth never ate anyone. he literally doesn't have the mouths to do it. Honestly, they'd be better off using Shub-Niggurath.
