I feel like no one brings up often enough that even though Tony was on a huge streak against Justin we did not see prime Tony fight Justin and on top of that he should've been fighting Khabib who didn't truly earn his number 1 lightweight status until beating the guy who beat Tony as opposed to beating Tony. The conspiracy theory I'm getting at here is that contrary to common belief Tony vs Khabib was never scheduled, because scheduling a fight implies both parties intend on fighting one another and the fight promotion wants it to happen. Tony and Khabib were being built up for a superfight with Conor and Conor wanted Khabib, UFC doctrine at this time period was that Conor gets what he wants. Not saying Conor wouldn't have beaten Tony but at the time Tony was basically a way better version of Nate Diaz who Conor struggled with. After Tony's losing streak all this is a hard sell but trust me this Tony was significantly slower than his former self and from here on his chin just weakens.
I've only ever seen one UFC event live, but one thing I will always remember from it was the sound of heavyweights moving around in the cage. When they got in there, you knew it - the whole octagon was thumping and creaking like it was slowing being broken apart.

I feel like Rafel will trip him down in the clinch muay Thai style
If it goes long enough, it's gonna be fucking banger. I like Fiziev, but Gaethje is definitely capable of hurting him.
@@Grayto oh 100%, not to disparage any of his prior opponents but Justin will be his biggest test for sure
@Austin King most likely Justin is going to be the "Tony" this time

Tony breaks my heart in that. The crowd less arena and the sound of those punches landing and him being well and truly unable to do anything
Those hands stole Tony’s soul. He was never the same after 😢
There's just something about Gaethje's power. It may not be technical or flashy but it changes careers. Theres not many fighters that come out the same after being on the business end of a Gaethje haymaker.
@@dvelasquez4556 yeah, i notice that he uses strenght over speed, he doesn't throw a lot of fast punches, but a couple of strong ones and it's over. Dude's a tank.
Watch the post fight interview after the Tony fight.
Justin hit him so damn hard that the impact cut his hands to shreds inside the wraps. Absolutely brutal.
That took Tony’s heart out.
1:32 ayo😶
Justin should have made his fight against Tony a grappling one. If he can out grapple him he would have a better chance with Khabib.
I remember that fight vs tony being brutal but man I forgot how brutal it really was
Tony's corner really should have stopped the fight round 4, maybe even round 3. But knowing the kinda guy Tony is, he'll probably fire his whole team if they did that.
Tony with a chandler level of iq in his gaithje fight
watching that tony fight still makes me sad to this day. the guy went on a 12 fight win streak and never won the title and ended up getting one of the worst beat downs and hasnt recovered since
No human should be able to take the kind of punishment Tony Ferguson did and stay conscious.
After Tony's losing streak all this is a hard sell but trust me this Tony was significantly slower than his former self and from here on his chin just weakens.
joe “oh my goodness” rogan
The tony ferguson beatdown was so brutal
Being able to hear every strike thrown was such a cool thing to experience over the past few years
It makes you realize how hard they strike. It's fuckin scary.
I've only ever seen one UFC event live, but one thing I will always remember from it was the sound of heavyweights moving around in the cage. When they got in there, you knew it - the whole octagon was thumping and creaking like it was slowing being broken apart.
The fight vs Ferguson reminds me of when I used to play UFC on the playstation on easy difficulty and trying to see how much I could do with knocking out my opponent
The Tony fight is hard to watch, but you have to Respect Justin in that Cowboy Cerrone fight. He could done serious damage to him with the Ref taking so long to call it. That was a classy move
That Johnson and Vick KO is satisfying after you saw the dumb shit Vick and Johnson had to say .
The Homer Simpson of the UFC
Why do people say this about him?
I like how at 0:12 he stops like "ok referee it's enough now can I stop hurting?"
I’ve never noticed how many “oh my goodness” they said on the Tony fight. Lol
Tony is one of the greatest warriors to live.
Not even 1% of all fighters would have stuck in there in the last 100 years. Guys too tough for his own good.
ferguson fight is eternally heartbreaking
That Tony fight should have been stopped in round 3...herd a blind clown somtimes
Still think Fiziev is gunna wash him
Fiziev is probably gonna beat his ass, but at least Gaethje always brings it
"As long as the fight is on the feet, Fiziev is a dangerous mfer" - Joe Rogan
So hard to watch the tony fight because in the 1st and 2nd round you can tell el cucuy or (classic tony) was there. But every round after that he started to fade away into extinction. 😭
Nobody does it better than ITP MMA best MMA/UFC channel ever🤗😼
I saw a lot of mercy in that last fight. It could have gotten even more ugly really fast but he held back that huge right hand after the staggering got bad.
Fiziev is about to shut this man's body down
Idkkk both are complete savages but im hyped for the fight
Thats a fact. Gatchje is a journeyman
That Vick knockout was satisfying especially after vick was such a douche.
How did Furgeson take all those hard shots. Jesus Christ that was brutal.
Tony's team should have thrown in the towel. This caused irreversible damage amd he will never be the same.
ТОНИ ФЕРГЮСОН 🐵 КАК МАГНИТ, ВСЁ ЧТО РЯДОМ ПРОЛЕТАЛО К НЕМУ ПРИЛИПЛО!!!!😅
People say all kinds of shit about Gaethje,he really gives people what they want..
Not gonna lie ITP has jinxed the people he’s made comps for fight week
Herb Dean is the best ref to ever moderate the UFC. He was an absolute professional here.
The shots Tony took probably could have KOed like 50 other people.
He fights ?
Yes
And where did he work before that ?
In a mine.
Im out.
fuck tony 😂 let’s get it gaethje! much love from the north 🍁🇨🇦💯
The Ferguson fight breaks my heart and it picture perfect speed, precision and power by Justin.
Justin and Dustin not being able to get the undispusted strap breaks my heart
