... do the space-X thing, get it vertical, bring it down and then grab it out of the air ... I know nothing about it, just the first thought when the topic of landing was brought up ..... thx for sharing your acquiring of a new project ... as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
If he adds just a bit of differential to the ailerons it will be SOOOOO much more pleasant to fly (and much). Have the aileron go up more than it goes down. Easiest way is to do it mechanically by changing the angle of the servo arm.
Been flying RC for many years and love ducted fan models just don't like the short flight times due to power requirements. I have the most fun with my STOLs and scale warbirds.
At 13:00 is the comment that sounds like me every year, "farming is done!" Now I can do my thing! Lol And why didn't he have some landing gear on that little jet? Little fast heavy RCs are always the hardest to fly.
Not bad, I have a friends Courier in my hangar. It is a Rans, it has the brains in desing. Wing root pins are horizontal un like some amateur desing where they are vertical. Make a steel wing struts and fly it from the back seat like a Piper Cub so you get the CG in place with four stroke engine.
Jonas, always on the go! He gets results and moves forward. New project, Jonas says "I got this" and will. Wife says "How you going to land this"? Answer? Good question! Here comes the landing. Looks good then "Oh No"! Just a little glue and it will be Ok! It happens!
@@jimmyoverly3512 Thanks for the kind words and thoughtful direction. I'll try to keep it all in mind when posting comments in the future. Maybe I can run them past you first.
Depending on what's needed on the Glasair TD, I'd consider to come up there from Ogden and help you get it flying. I built my Glasair 1-RG so I have experience.
Nice! I've got a whole building full of projects myself, but none of them are fun - all lawn and other outdoor power equipment, lol. I laughed when you showed that trailer tire!! 🤣That sidewall was SMOKED! 😁 Glad it made it back! The aircraft fit perfectly on that thing. Like it was made for it. And that jet was crazy! Can't believe how fast that thing was! Sounded just like a real one, too. Pretty neat! 😎
That's a Kyosho arf from around yr 2000. You can get one flying from the box in a few hours and they flew great on nicads believe it or not. This one looked heavy, but the toss was the best I've probably ever seen. You did a great job getting it airborne!
stoked for this one. Your yellow kitfox flipping on the sandbar brought me here. Glad you got another. scary that the airframe might be tweaked but You can fab anything like macguver... I'm sure you'll build a big jig to put it in and make sure its dead straight.
Dang Jonas, you two have all kinds of projects! I don’t have this many or near this big, but it sure keeps life interesting! Hope to see this flying in person one day!
Hey Jonas, that is quite an extensive list from Lets Get Checked... however, I didn't see the box to check, that tests for "All around great guy", or "super awesome Lithuanian". HA! All the best from a pilot in Canada!!
Good to have Sylvia back again with her pleasant giggle and voice of sanity. As to the frame, is there a frame bending device that would allow you to bring the frame back into conformity without taking it apart - piece by piece? Also, is that side by side seating or is it one seat behind the other. If it is not side by side then it is an absolute no, no. Sylvia belongs there right beside him.
Hahaha I'm a sucker for projects too. Sounds like you got a good deal on it so you won't lose money and someday it'll be an airplane! Fun video, keep em coming!
G,day Jonas and Silvjia from Sydney Australia. OK... Great to see you both, I hope the farm is bringing you comfortable times and preparing for Holly Christmas. Hopefully you have a 'bargain' being the RANS7 experimental frame. How bent, really is the frame? Does it need to go into the assembly cage or can you check with measurements, string lines, lazer levels, straight edges and measuring? I'd like to know if you PLAN a build pathway; with * Materials * Surfaces * Wiring harness diagrams * Avionics * Engine * Wheels and suspension Or... Just start building "in ya shed"? Best wishes 🌟 🌲'Love the moonshine' 🤪
Just a frame and nothing else no engine prop or controls or instruments is it worth it. I agree the seller was pushy . It it had the engine and controls and instruments yeah I didnt even see wings you can have more into that than its worth
Awesome another airplane project! Which well for sure gonna be interesting! But I would really like to know, what happened to the Capella. Long time no update. Isn't it repairable?
Boy you really are a bugger for taking on yet more work. What has happened to the own designed jobbie that you were building? Mind you it all makes good fun for us chaps watching from our armchairs. Hee hee! Regards, Jim in NI UK
Please, you two, don't start another project until I finish one of mine. I spend so much time watching your projects, it leavers no time for any of mine. Oh well, yours are more fun anyway. 😊
I saw the amount of down elevator that F-16 had and as soon as he said he didn't have dual rates available I was already like this isn't going to end well.
Really enjoy your videos and I mean this in the nicest way but dude, maybe it would be better to concentrate on the projects you have. I mean, look at the guy you bought it from. There’s definitely some irony with someone who has too many projects buying an aircraft from someone else who has too many projects. Plus when the baby comes you’ll have less time. Sorry to sound like a grandfather (which I am) but, live, learn and pass along your knowledge & experience.
Nice! We need a baby report. Once the baby comes many of your projects will be put on hold. Indefinitely.
Oh yeah for sure.
0:30 I See stars in his eyes when he talk about this project

Good luck with that project. Your so so so lucky that Silvija is so understanding.

0:05 There's that beautiful Baby Bump. :)
FIRST! I could see the twist in the frame when you were loading it on the trailer! YIKES!
welcome to the rans family!
Nice thing is that S7 is still being produced, so you can get all the parts.
Great idea, assisting with trim on initial rc flight!
I dunno, but I think that the Kitfox was the best rig you had.
So many projects, Will any be completely, and use able. Been there, done that. Just have fun and be safe.

I love you guys and all you need it one more project lol keep it up bro (can we get a defiance update)???
That was fun to watch ..I used to fly Bob Violet Jets with Jet Cat turbines installed 200 plus mph… congrats on your new project .🎉
I had some foam glider planes as a kid and was always super glueing back together. That f16 even sounded like a jet... rad
Stop!!! Save and buy a good one. Nice little bump there Sylvia.
Best of luck with your project!

You must have a charitable definition of results. This dude has a ton of unfinished or unstarted projects.

@@williamwintemberg No need for that silly goose. Comments section is free. Silly goose stuff.
I have a rans s6, it's a great aircraft and I'm sure the s7 is just as great 👍
Happy to see a new project and RC again ✈👍
It’s addictive, but projects are a journey to enjoy! You two stay safe always!
You two are so much fun, keep it up.
4:19 he brought his working flip flops 😂😂😂😂❤
Congratulations to you and Sylvia Jonas for your expanding family.
I just recently got an S7S and it's such a great airplane all the way around!
Look forward to seeing this as a successfully completed project. That baby project will take precedence .. 😁
Good morning from Minnesota!! Great episode!
So…two new babies ?! Awesome. I want to just go and pick up a project to work on. You guys work like nobody’s business! Right on!
Good luck, bent and racked frame is going to be a lot more work. Hope you got him down on price.
Another airplane! Awesome!!

Looks like a great project! That 300 hp EPeX I built for that highlander would be sick in an S7 !
I'm willing to make a bet that Jonas's unborn child will finish these projects before Jonas does!🤣👌🛩

YES! Another flying project. Life doesn’t get any better..

Flipin kewl all the way around thanks for the share
Put the flap handle where God intended, and send the stock seats to the scrapyard. Otherwise, the S7 is a ton of fun!! 🍻
Make softer suspension on boat trailer
I'm anxious to see how the plane works out. Hope for the best.
Nice Jonas! Loved the video. Would eagerly wait to see your S7 journey.
Dang Jonas, you two have all kinds of projects! I don’t have this many or near this big, but it sure keeps life interesting! Hope to see this flying in person one day!

That boat would have been great on the Snake!
Nice boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see it fly (but I guess I'll have to). Stay safe you guys. 😁
bruh.. i feel you pain on the project thing.. mine is cars.. have 2 projects now n keep looking at others

The RANS is a tandem. I agree with you.
You need a new channel called "Jonas Loves Projects!" 😉😉🤣🤣 Love your channel!
Or,,, "The boy who dies with the most toys wins"
I subbed, cause i want see the final result later.
Hey what do you know another airplane project that we'll never see worked on or fly, speaking of which how's defiance going?
"i would pull it to a dump and push it of there". While liturally standing kneehigh in trashbags.....😂😂😂😂👍👍
Hahaha I'm a sucker for projects too. Sounds like you got a good deal on it so you won't lose money and someday it'll be an airplane! Fun video, keep em coming!
BTW get big J to do the next advert please 😂
Congrats !
I see Sylvia has a baby tummy. hope all is well. glider guy
Well, another one to get flying. It’s closer to a big boy plane though bro. 🤠👍 I was concerned for the F-16 when the guy couldn’t do his own trim.
Damn you had me worried with that plane purchase… get into it looks awesome
If I had to take of with ducted F-16 I would first build a bigger wing and after familiaising it with that, instal a hotter version.
Would of landed good without the landing gears… Good luck with your build.
G,day Jonas and Silvjia from Sydney Australia.

Isn't it repairable?
Thanks! Yeah the Capella is repairable and I’ll get on it hopefully this winter. Just need to finish the hangar door and finish the airbike.
@@JonasMarcinko thanks Jonas for the info! I hope we will see some videos about that.
I've been flying my S7-S for 12 years. I hope you get yours fixed.
What happened/is happening with Defiance? Was stoked to see progress on it.
Why finish the three projects you have when you can start another one!
Very cool project! But that Glasair has my eye... :)
Me as well
Did I miss an episode... when did he get a Glasair?
@@Cornstalker7273 Not that I'm aware of. He's casually commented on it in the hangar a couple of times, but I've never seen an episode about it.
He's had the Glasair for a long time. Before he started the channel.
Yeah Jonas really could use yet another plane project! Does the hangar feel kinda empty or something?
Love it.
My mom told me " if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it.." Soooo this is me not saying anything... blue skies!
Random Question for Jonah - What fuselage frame fixture do you have?
We'd love to work with you on this project! Please reach out to us when you start working on the fuel system!
What motor and fan was in that F16? Sounded really nice. Man, he came in really hot. Nice looking model.
Love your channel but final inspection is Mike Patey. Don't kill yourself, be safe!
I miss the kit fox 😢
That blue kit fox 4? ? What’s the story ??? I need some wings !
Replace yer friggin' windshield, youngin'!
I'm excited you have a project. However eek, not sure I would have bought that plane.

HIGHLANDER.HIGHLANDER.HIGHLANDER...
The seller was very pushy IMO. Not sure how I fell buying a project with a bent airframe. Anyway, looking forward to see how it turns out!
what another project? The next little project [the makes a noise at any hour and require feeding]will keep you going .
He’s gotta dead stick that jet in for a grass landing. He came in hot even for gear
How's Silvia doing with the baby?
Yeeaah...it'll probably be OK 🙄
Dump the other projects and concentrate on the S7. They are awesome. You will never look back.
"He brings me to look at these airplanes and I don't know what to say". Just say NO! %^)
