- Engine rebuild without removing the engine from the car! This can only be done if the cylinders check out, and do not need to be bored out. In most cases, you can just hone and re ring! This engine also got a rebuilt cylinder head and new rod bearings

The Suzuki G10 is a good little motor. Treat it well and it won't let you down.
One of the best, for real
Love these little cars
me too!!!!
This was my first rebuild in a 1992 i rebuilt it in 1998. It was a dirty rebuild just like this but the car ran forever after. This was a great first car.
Heck yeah man!
Thanks for this! I got a 93 metro i need to just get running again as a backup car. I paid dearly for it as metros are in high demand here in the PNW. A couple exhaust valves burned and i'm probably gonna go ahead and re-ring it while i'm at it. It seems like i picked a good car to learn on. Small, simple and yet old with everything falling apart on it. 😝
Haha, enjoy it!! The parts are dirt cheap on rock auto, and they really are a blast to own
@mightye How did the rebuild go? Love to see your follow-up!
Good video on engine rebuild ! I have a firefly that needed an exhaust valve . Now it is a good runner
Thank you!! These little engines are a blast to play with
About to tear my own Geo wagon apart… never done this before but I’m excited for the challenge

How did it go for you? I'm about to be tackling the same thing here, too.
I have a 93 geo storm and I'm really wanting to rebuild it !!
Do it!
Was this an XFI motor/ model car? I’m looking at doing a rebuild on an xfi but having trouble finding pistons as the xfi had gapless rings…
It was not an XFI engine
It's funny how this engine looks a lot like the newer engines in the ford focuses
Haha no joke! It is more reliable and 1/3rd the power haha
Hi I'm just wondering if this engine can have piston sleeve that you can put on instead of just the bare cylinder to piston.
Yes it should since it is an aluminum block
You have a video on your diy seafoam? You can't bring something as cool as that up and leave us hanging!
Haha! ok, i'll do a video on that
@@TheGaginator Sweet! Thank you!
I have a 94 geo metro 1.0 with almost 400.000 and never been apart starts every day I put new HVL in it last summer and it still ticks and makes loud noises tell it warms up so I took the pan off over the weekend to see what was in there but all I found was small plastic bitts no metal shavings and the connecting rods are just a little loose could that be my ticking thanks
Fred.
How long did the engine last? Is it still running?
I want to a rebuild this same way but I am scared, never done anything like this before just clutch replacement
Still runs great as far as i know. The new owner drove it from here in Texas to New York i think. This is a really common "rebuild" method actually.
I had to watch with no audio🙃
What's the proper torgue or is it just tight as you can get without compromising the bolts/parts?
I don't remember now. Google will know!
@@TheGaginator already figured it out
Indeed Google did know
steering wheel on the right?
No, Left hand side. forword camera reverses the image
How many miles did this engine have?
over 200k
@@TheGaginator wow pretty good I got a 95 f150 with 328,000 original motor, Trans and rear end
Attracting some weirdos in here….. You taking you Geo to a Gambler event soon?
Haha wierdos are the best ;D I'd love to gamble a geo. This video was filmed last year... Haha I just never posted it. I was actually looking for another Geo yesterday...
I need to pull the Festiva engine apart and figure out why it locked up.
