You’d be surprised.
The heels that dancers wear are made for dancing. Unlike normal heels made for just walking, these shoes have a different fit and flexibility to them as well. Add a lot dance practice and perfecting balance on top of that and you've got a bunch of girls who can dance smoothly in heels :)

The heels are character shoes! Specifically designed for dancing. At first it's really uncomfortable but once you adjust it gets easier =)
The body's hitting the floor at the end was oddly satisfing

@@madisonc5643 There is sadly no full musical out there. It's not really a musical persay- Fifteen photographs are projected onto a screen whilst five cast members belt out tunes intended to illuminate the stories behind the images. There are a few videos of the 5 singers who sang all the songs singing some of the songs from the musical.
Ps : There is also a production of it in yt but it is certainly not the original perormance

One small detail I like is that, as the song goes on, Sara's dancing starts to differ from the dancing of all the others. She's losing her grip on the world around her.

The choreography was so well developed, and the way it matches the story is just amazing, did the dancers make their own choreography or did they used a choreographer? Cause in any of those options it was amazing
I choreographed it on the dancers for my Choreography class’ final. So glad you like it! 💃🏻

THAT WHOLE ENDING SEQUENCE WAS SO SATISFYING omgosh - my only thing is I wish all the other girls besides Julie and Sara were wearing the same color, to sort of have a contrast - But literally my only critic, that was so satisfying.

As a dancer, the costumes should of been used better to separate the charcaters. Keep sarah in red and then pick 2 or 3 colours max to show the difference, like if they did white, blue and then purple. However he different costumes did give each person more individuality which is awesome
That fouette turn sequence literally gave me chills. Gorgeous choreography and musicality.
Like I do dance, and what they did was amazing, but like HEELS! Gotta add a good extra bonus points!
I love how at the first chorus the other dancers are dancing with Sara but in the second chorus where she sacrificed her social relationships, the dancers were circling Sara instead, which I think is symbolizing Sara just focusing on herself and being prom queen. Nice detail there. Also, the dance is really cool and underrated!

This dance was amazing. The heels all of them are wearing are probably character shoes. How I know this, well I was a Dancer for 15 years. Mostly ballet, but I also did jazz, tap, hip hop, hard shoe Irish, regular Irish, and contemporary. So yeah that sums it up. This was really amazing. Sad song but cool dance.
Cant wait till i reccomend this 2000 times to my theater camp.

This was a really good dance! I have a critique on the red dress, I think she should’ve been sharper on her movements, especially when she “pushes” the others away (When her dad says the princess part. ) And I get that this was 6 years ago (This is still a VERY good dance! ) so she’s probably better now! ( Go her! ) Much love and very nice choreography!
