It is interesting to see the difference in the bullet's performance in Ballistic Gel vs real world animal bone, muscle and organ. I used this exact load on a moose hunt back in the fall of 2021, 24" IBI barrel on a Tikka T3 action. I put two good shots on a moose at 265m, which is something I like about the 6.5 CM, the recoil impulse is pretty light, and I was spotting and following up shots with total ease. Both shots passed through; to speak of the penetration on an animal vs gel, a moose's chest is a fair bit thicker then the penetrated depth of the medium used in the video. Upon review, the shot blasted through skin, rib and lung, leaving a pair of nasty, and large exit wounds. That moose gave us a large blood trail due to this, and it didn't go very far before expiring.
So from my real world experience, I can't recommend this load enough. Thanks for the video!

At 100 yards the bullet in this video was going around 2575 fps (with 2776fps muzzle velocity).
Your shot at 265 meters (290 yards) should have been around 2100-2200fps / 1300 ftlb, when it hit the moose.
Thanks for this report. Good penetration and expansion it would seem.
Properly using the ballistic gel, is certainly a good way to compare penetration and expansion to a different loading/bullet.

I have the savage axis 6.5 Creedmoor with a 6x18x44mm vortex scope on it. I Love it.
