  • Admit it, we are all hoping to see her on the floor in Paris too! Who knows if she’ll get to have another move named after her, right? And, you all know that’s not a too-impossible feat for her!
And with the Paris Olympics fast approaching, Simone Biles is one of the favorites expected to light up the venues, delighting spectators and a TV audience of billions!
That’s not surprising at all, given that she is the most decorated female gymnast ever, with 30 World and Olympic medals.
#simonebiles has won 25 World medals, including 19 golds, which is notably the most in gymnastics history. Besides amassing a remarkable collection of awards, she also made history various times throughout her career. And she's still out there as a strong competitor in the sport, even though she took a short break.
It is no secret that Biles surprised fans around the world when she withdrew from five event finals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Although she ultimately returned to earn bronze on the balance beam - her 32nd medal between the Olympics and World Championships, she disappeared from competitive gymnastics after that.

Simone doesn't like this kind of pressure put on her.
She is not cocky like this to dismiss others greatness.
She helps others and always a good sport rather she win or not! She's okay stepping up or down, she just loves the sport period!
Please don't put words in her mouth or make her out to be cocky when she's very humble gymnast.

I hate when they edit these videos and have mismatching commentary. They talk about her Yurchenko double pike vault, but don't show it. Instead they show a completely unrelated, easier vault.

She did step down when she was injured, and they did not fill her shoes, so what should be said? It is about quality, not about age.

Never liked her. A mass of muscles performing difficult routines. That’s not the gymnastics we were brought up. We still ask for grace and musicality which she will lack for ever.

Ok, so you learned the basics and never improved or build on what you had learned to become a great gymnast…that not her fault that you didn’t strive harder or settle for being simple. You don’t like her because your lack luster routines didn’t get you the recognition you wanted or to the Olympic greatness.

Τhats what you assume.. I told about grace and musicality not BEING COMPROMISED for the sake of difficulty. If she worked on both she wouldn’t be as great as you and many believe she is.
Greatness comes from the combination. Simon will never get that.

@@vassilaeva8081 Why can't you appreciate BOTH styles of competing in gymnastics? It is NOT her fault that judges seem to want actions and moves that concentrate more on the athleticism. I prefer grace and musicality, I also KNOW that all body types do not lend themselves to the same aesthetic. My daughter adores her Russian Ballet over any other form of dance and that is what she teaches her students. That being said, she loves other kinds of dance and has learned many of them as well. I appreciate more forms because of learning from her. I respect Simone for being realistic and removing herself from competition before she was permanently paralyzed or died from injuries just to try to do the skills that had become dangerous for her.

Because as you said it’s a matter of taste. I Just don’t like pure athletic movements which also prove to be harmful for the body. It’s the turn of the sport towards the acrobatics and less to the feminine side.
Me too I am a classical trained ballerina, French style oriented. Good day.

@@vassilaeva8081 I comprehend what you are saying. I have never liked it that the tricks which are so damaging became more important as well. I guess that is why they also have Rhythm Gymnastics which are purely delightful to watch! Figure Skating also went the way of the competitions aiming for more dangerous moves... Adagio lifts and spins and leaps on ice are dangerous and thrilling. However, what about all of the women and girls' bodies and heads that are broken and paralyzed. The men and boys' bodies that are pushed beyond their endurance to provide support?

frankly I wish Simone would step down gracefully and let a young girl take her place. I don't like when older girlswho have been hugely successful to take the places of younger girls who would love a chance to follow in someonelike Simones footsteps. imo

If Tokyo had gone as planned, Im sure shed have been done. That said, younger girls have the same opportunities if theyre talented enough to make teams. Michael Jordan and Lebron James didn't walk away to make room for younger athletes, so why should she?

What?!?! No! Gymnasts are competing longer now! She should compete until she can’t anymore. Why should she cut her career short when she’s still healthy? When she was young she beat out the older girls therefore the young girls should try to beat her if they’re good enough. If they can’t then better luck next time!

She is a professional athlete... Sports at that level are not about age, they're about who's best. This is such a weird comment you would not see on any other sport. Asking the best in the world to step down so someone who's not deserving can "take their place"? Like wtf

Your comment also sounds as if there have been other gymnasts like Simone biles in the past who have been this dominant?? Frankly, there have not. So really, your comment could have stated, you don’t like that Simone is this dominant and younger athletes aren’t getting their medals because she’s “too good”.
