    Yet another great review!!! The room that you need for enough cold drinks for a large family is ridiculous. I can see how the space you save is totally worth it, not to mention how much less you’re putting in the landfill (no free recycling where I live 😬). I would love to see a review on the soda stream with the name brand drinks 👍🏽

    I have the Ninja Thirsti and for me it’s worth it. I drink a lot of carbonated water and love how this machine gives me fizzy drinks by the glass on demand day or night without having to keep buying bottles or cans of commercial drinks taking up lots of room in the fridge. Not to mention having to carry those heavy soda bottles or cans up 3 flights of stairs. The only thing I don’t like is what the guy said, there is sucralose in the Ninja sweetened flavor pods. I hate artificial sweeteners so I’ve only been using the unsweetened Splash drops. The other pods containing sucralose are left unopened in the storage box. I can always squeeze fresh lemon juice or other fresh fruit in my drinks.

    I ended up purchasing one and it’ll be delivered this week. My initial concern was if ninja ever stopped supporting it (like Keurig with the Kold but at least they refunded people) but after seeing the soda stream blue CO2 cartridges work in it, as long as soda stream continues making those (like they claim they will for the older soda stream models) then should be good. Then if ninja ever stops making the flavors, can just make sparkling water and use soda stream flavors.

      I wouldn't worry anytime soon . Ninja is going subscription based as well. I just hope alot of people buy this. I know it seems like a chore. But this teaches people how to actually do something and it's very healthy. I just hope they can find a way to use natural flavor only

      Even if they stop making it Sodastream syrups work - you just add it after you fizz the water.

      You can also buy a 5lbs or even 20 lb tank and a hose adapter plus there are many compatible canisters on the market .

    Great review, Personally, I'd go with SodaStream. I purchased one from eBay for $25 and retrofitted it with a 10-gallon CO2 tank for $80, which I refill a couple of times a year for $20 at a local beer supply store. The SodaStream flavors are much cheaper, and they go on sale often. The last time I purchased supplies, everything was half off on their website and had free shipping. I estimate my cost to abe around .15 cents.....maybe cheaper since I've owned everything for a few years.

    Great review! I never like buying anything that involves me having to go back to the manufacturer every time I run out of something. That's such a pain in the butt and you're at the mercy of the manufacturer's success regarding the longevity of use. If the product doesn't sell well, chances of them continuing to make flavors for the unit or CO2 canisters is probably not great..

    Seems like the only true way to save money is buy a 2 to 5 gallon co2 container and get it replaced at any welding shop and just run a line into the machine with an adapter. Those refills are kind of ridiculous. Seems like a bit of a space taker not in one area, but not having to fill your fridge up with sodas can be a huge plus.

    Best review that I've seen! I liked the idea of having the cartridges, but in the end, are you really saving that much room? I leave my SodaStream bottles in the refrigerator and use them when I need them. If the cartridges aren't that good, then you're still using SodaStream with it. What's the point? People say you don't have to make a whole bottle, but you can carbonate a bottle and then pour it into a glass and add the syrup the same way. I was really looking forward to it, but now I'm hard-pressed to stick with my current SodaStream setup. Thank you!

    • @DiffFamilyReviews

      Thank you. Have you ever tried carbonating anything else? I was just thinking it would be cool to carbonate apple cider but I can’t do that in my Ninja.

    I'm coming from soda stream and liked that they have a mixing syrup dispenser however I do all sorts of custom flavors . I notice you bypassed and mixed but I'm curious if the flavor canisters could be refilled or modified so we could use our own syrups in the machine itself.

  • @alaciadavis4287

    I don’t personally mind sucralose so my family buys Aldi’s sparkling canned flavored water and then we add either squeeze drops like mio (but Aldi brand) or the packets and it’s any kind of flavor “diet soda” if sugar is your preference, then you can use the sparkling waters and add torani fruit syrups to it and make an Italian cream soda if you like that. It’s not going to cut down on can/bottles but it’s a more cost effective options for sure and kind of fun. I’m a big Ninja supporter. I have the double air fryer, the multicooker, the blender and chopper. I am on the fence about this product I can’t tell if I would actually use it or not

    I wanted to add that for cost comparison, sure you can get 12 ounce or 2 littler pop on sale, but those mini or 6 ounce cans cost a while lot more per ounce.

    Thanks for the thoughtful review. I am curious if it can be hacked like the Sodastream to use your own CO2 tank. I suspect that would save a ton of money in the long run. I have a large CO2 cylinder in my basement that I have been using for 10 years now and it is still on its first fill! This is much more convenient than my setup however.

    • @DiffFamilyReviews
      @DiffFamilyReviews  8 місяців тому +2

      You could probably do this as the Co2 canisters from soda stream work on it.

    Thanks 4 an informative, fair review _ i was wondering how the fizz/bubbles compare 2 soda stream machine- does dispensing in open glass make it less carbonated ?

    • @DiffFamilyReviews
      @DiffFamilyReviews  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you. I don’t have a soda stream so I can’t really compare the two but it has a nice level of carbonation dispensing in the open glass. No more or less than when I use the soda stream bottles.

      I have both, I wasn't a fan of the Ninja Thirsti because I like to sip on a carbonated drink for some time and with it being in a glass vs Sodastream's bottle, it didn't last as long. I found out Ninja made a tumbler named after the Thirsti device specific for this product, and it actually keeps the drinks more carbonated for way longer than the Sodastream bottles. I use the Thirsti exclusively now with this tumbler.

    will it still work if the water is room temperature? what if use warm water, and max carbonation setting will it still taste carbonated? enough that if add ice after that it will still be carbonated tasting? most warm sodas lose all fizz when it goes into ice after

    • @DiffFamilyReviews
      @DiffFamilyReviews  20 днів тому +1

      It will not work with warm water, it has to be cold.

    Is the 48.5 cents per 12oz cup cost estimate with the flavors or just the plain carbonated water? We want something to carbonate plain water in glasses vs the sodastream which only works in their bottles.

    • @DiffFamilyReviews
      @DiffFamilyReviews  4 місяці тому

      That was the cost with the flavors. Definitely cheaper if you’re just making carbonated water.

    Question: How do you feel about the quality of the machine compared to the SodaStream line up? I get it is way slower to get some drink out of it, but if the quality is there in the long run it maybe worth it.
