@@thatson01 Everyday is a school day… One thing I’ve learnt about fishing is that fish are as fickle as Liverpool supporters, so you’re best having a flexible approach and be able to ring the changes both within sessions and between sessions as the year progresses… I like that in your videos you offer a view on what you see working, I’m always puzzled by the lads who tell you what the fish are actually thinking to explain their behaviour 🤪
Hi Mark, that particular day I was fishing around 14/15m but I use it a lot on snake lakes around 10-11m wide. I wouldn’t recommend it but I’ve also fished it to around 35m at Southfield Reservoir. It’s not for long chucks but I was that kid at home that wanted to find out why forks don’t go in plug sockets haha. It’s not a great casting rod for distance but I’ve had carp over 20lb on it and it performs superb matey👏🏼 definitely worth having one and a tiny 320 size reel suits it perfectly.
I assume you tie your own hooklinks ? As this cannot work with pre tied. I tried today and the float stop just snaps the line. Perhaps you could video how you go about it from start to finish ?
Hi mate, Yeh I tie my own buddy. There a link to a video below where I show when to add the “Stopz” stop onto the line. I should do a separate one to be fair. As it would be difficult and line weakening to pull a Stopz over the loop knot I tie my hooklength as normal and then add the Stopz before finishing with the loop. It’s perfect for Carp and all fish but for F1’s it doesn’t give the best results. They definitely feed more comfortable from a longer line. @@xD2TV yes the MAP Embeds are available in shops from today matey. Very good item and great for catching fish👏🏼
