Think about how much money they make the more shocking the story is. I am no supporter of NK, but polarization can result in misinfo (ex: forced to get Kim Jong Un haircut). I highly recommend reliable sources on NK such as the docs Beyond Utopia, The Mole Undercover, Train to Seoul. Don't perpetuate bs.
I've watched so many of your videos but this is by far the saddest one.
I've always wondered what would make anyone want to travel to NK?!?
Maybe for some it is the thrill of visiting some place dangerous or forbidden. A few go just to say they've been there on their way to visiting every country. And maybe some are just crazy. As for me, I have no plans to ever visit North Korea, because it is far too dangerous for me as an American. Meanwhile, South Korea was the first country I ever visited (I taught English there for 3 months back in 2010).

I was on the DMZ in Korea in the 1980's North Korea is worse than you can imagine.

Who romanticizes it besides the few that moved there? I enjoy studying north korea, but I don't think of it as anything but a weird dystopia and I haven't seen anyone else describe it as anything good.

I was stationed on the DMZ during Operation Paul Bunyan I thought WW-3 was going to happen. N.K. Has So much fire power on the 38th parallel our life expectancy was 30 minutes or less if war broke. I use to talk to South Korean people they were sad the two states are separated and cried saying they had not seen family members in decades… I’ve too many stories to tell here. Love the good people of South Korea!

The most tragic situation for people in the 21st century is to born in North Korea. People there have to endure stifling life both mentally and materialistically for the rest of their life. The concept of human right, religious freedom, democracy do not exist in North Korea.

I think we forget about N. Korea a lot. It doesn't make noise constantly like Russia. It's easy to forget the vast number of people suffering there. I know I do. Terrible. I wish we could stop it.

I hope to see the second part of the wicked atrocities of North Korea. This is the kind of story I definitely like to hear or see. The Soviet Union is the one to be blamed for the sad and cruelty of the lives of North Koreans. The US shouldn't have allowed the USSR to liberate the North side of Korea from the Japanese in WW2.
Yeah, Koreans would have liked too if only north was also free from their current authoritarian leader dynasties. Can't get how Kim Jong Un himself as a Korean is hated so much by South koreans and even north escapist, but he is a bad leader for his ppl afterall.

At least the people of North Korea are clear about the intensions of their leadership, a sick twisted case of government transparency if you will, they don't lie and say the people are free, pretend they will change their poverty, or act like what's in schoolbooks and on TV is not propaganda.
