- Attending a Buddhist House Blessing Ceremony and the party following. The one was well above average, Dave went all-out! Several UA-cam videos were released and most focused on the party, so thought I would share more on the ceremony itself. Hope you can learn a little about this tradition.

The house blessing parties are a bit of fun, Thai music only has 2 volumes, I did see a few of my old mates in the group, safe trip back home

A bit over the top, IMHO, but each to their own...."up to you". From what I've seen of Dave's channel he doesn't do things by halves ! If I've understood things right, the ceremony you showed isn't the Buddhist one. The guy in white is a "mor doo", so it's more of an animist ceremony. The monks conduct the Buddhist blessing indoors, usually in the morning. Nothing wrong with having both for luck !
Aa mentioned,, the Monks did a blessing the following morning, that we attended, but the video I shot was corrupted, so could not show it.
