Was listening to this again... I seldom comment but, as a professional musician, I’m just curious about the 26 dislikes.. What could you possibly dislike about this recording? Aside from unparalleled technical abilities and character/interpretation, plus the fact that it’s live, and there’s absolutely no one today that could even come close, I’m just wondering what can one possibly dislike here..? 😂
@@YuiraKun Vengerov is another extraordinary virtuoso. Nobody is absolutely better in the violin. Each artist has his own and unique personality and vices virtue.
@@nickcarroll8565 I never said it did, was just addressing the original comment which said "unparalleled technical abilities and character/interpretation", to which I disagree because like I said, Vengerov's rendition was just as good if not better.
Mr Heifetz, thanks for in some moment having existed and given all your valuable material and production to the public, your stuff is really worth it...

you always have the right to play it how you wish or feel… but depending on what it says on the sheet music, the time signature and notes per minute. i highly doubt he is playing it too fast. heifetz was notorious for following the guidelines
This is just a TAD fast. It's the fastest recording of this piece I've ever heard, but this is Heifetz, so with a piece like this, that can be expected lol
Unfortunatly this is average romantic music, how ever well it's played. While Mozart is superior classical music, for example his string quartet n20 and the duos for violin and alto.
Heifetz's playing sounds like he can really do anything he wants on the violin, such pristine control :))
This is literally the reason my ears exist
I love this comment. ❤
Unparalleled, as usual.
I played this piece so many time that it grew stale to me. This changed my perception completely.
Don't we just love those moments
Tens de insistir...

@@YuiraKunNot even close!
Have compared to several other renditions. Mr. Heifetz is the cleanest, clearest...such a brilliant performance
Honestly as much as I love Midori’s rendition, it does not even compete with this.

Try David Nadien .
Vasa Prihoda. Structurally a bit capricious, but daring, stylish, and blindingly virtuosic.
How do people even dislike this
Unreal and damn near impossible. If only I could have really been there live. This is absolutely golden.
I love the subtle nuances in his playing.

I am a fast learner, but ... I am no longer a fast learner.
unbelievalble way of violin playing, calm, controlled, great passion

The dancer is supposed to be dancing in a frenzy in order to get the spider venom out of them.
I would give my arms just to see him play the violin, but I wouldn't be able to play. He's amazing...
Crisp clean and clear !

I would love to have heard Heifetz play some bluegrass...just once.
if you can play it slow you can play it fast
Yep,but Heifetz can play it extremely fast!
love how heifetz play !
beautiful. thank you.
When he misses a note at 1'30 it s even more expressive. Those decrescendos are wonderful. I dont even memtion the technique. What a style!
He didn't actually "miss" the note but rather the gut g string didn't respond properly.
if there's any technically better violinist than heifetz, please tell me, because i can't imagine that there's one..
yea me

Heifetz IS ling ling

Literally in tears...😭
The tarantella part...just wow
When he finished playing this I was still on the first page
is it the violin or heifetz? the sound so different from these days violinist. so soft
Compare Heifetz to all the others playing the Introduction. It was Heifetz
It's probably the old recording.
It was Heifetz
Holy crap man! :O
what a sound!!!
This is sublime! I also like Midori’s rendition
Потрясающе!..
You know what occurred to me tonight?
Heifetz would have been hell of a Sherlock Holmes.
e' un genio....unico....
The standard!!
now...i play that half speed.
+PitTanGirl Don't worry. If you can play well slowly that is better than most. Half his speed if still very, rather extremely fast.
PitTan I Play as fast as Nathan mckinnon
@@jonluxy4431 Well, if you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly
