  • While at an auto auction, I came across this wrecked Toyota 4Runner SR5. These are awesome offroad 4x4's but this one got hit pretty hard in the front. But it does have a lot of cool accessories that may make it worth buying for a full restoration. Watch until the end to see how the car looks!

That thing really might be worth fixing . It sucks they took the battery so you couldn’t hear it run but if it’s mostly cosmetic damage then that’s still a good truck

May be slight frame damage which is why insurance totaled it. But these things are stupid expensive used so I would consider it. May be able to build a nice overland rig out of it.

@@galeaiken3841 Most repairs that I have seen for 4runners are fairly hefty. We got a lot of them with differential problems, that are not going to fall under warranty, that and they rust like a mfkr. I can name a bunch of common issues but to say you cant make money on them is not true cus when they break its really bad and expensive.

I'm surprised they let the insurance company take the car when it was totaled, most people I know are waiting for a front end accident to get a free $$$$$ bumper from insurance 😂

Those mounts on the frame are after market, and just from lack of center piece in the bumper, it had a low profile metal bumper. It has an Icon 3” lift and upper control arms, and is only using those TRD wheels as roller. Those are stock with stock tires from a Pro. He more than likely had 33’s on here.

That truck had a slimline winch bumper on it. You can tell from how the bumper cover is cut and trimmed. Those bumpers also bolt directly in the place you pointed to where the crash bar attaches. If you can pull the frame out for cheap, the rest of the front end is a pretty easy repair. My 100k mile 4Runner will still fetch north of $30k at a dealer.
