This was a lot of fun to watch. I really like Knave 2e. I'll be subscribing for more solo RPG content. Also, I love your storytelling/gameplay style. And I think 35 - 65 minutes is the sweet spot for solo actual-play content.
Thank you very much! Glad you like it. I might do another video in English although went back to my native language danish after I made this video. So stay tuned! 😀
I number my slots in my inventory then roll an appropriate die to randomly select the item that gets damaged/lost. It's as fair as I can imagine so far. So if I have 7 items I'll roll a d8 and reroll the 8 or circle back up to the top. Loosing an item from that list I'll go to a d6 and on down to a d4. Otherwise, you could pick an item that would make the most sense. Like loosing some rations because they took a hit when your opponent landed that massive blow.
This is a great idea. I got the idea from somewhere to number the item slots and put items in there by "priority" and you can just rewrite the "priority numbers" as you play. Helps to avoid too much erasing but I like this idea too, it reduces erasure AND adds a sense of randomness/challenge. Gonna try this the next time I run solo
Failed to mention, when you take direct damage, you take the wound in the first priority slot and then move on to the next one as needed. Gives you some control over what gets destroyed first without having to erase and rewrite too much
Where did you get that hole puncher, it is glorious. Mine are not that friggin cool. lol Awesome video. Have you tried using A lonely Knave solo rules from parts per millions?

Thank you for the video! I have been having a lot of fun reading through Knave so far. How did you decide what dice to use for individual weapon damage? I couldnt seem to find this information ion the book. Did you just go off of 5E rules? Thank you!
Thanks! I can’t remember which damage dice I used in the video, but the book says on p. 38: “melee weapons: One-handed weapons: d6 damage, 1 slot (50c). Two-handed weapons: d8 damage, two slots (100c).”, so that’s what I use now 😊

The circle hole punch for character profile pictures is an awesome idea. All of my characters are just bad stick figures 😀
Haha, stick figures aren’t bad either 😂
I got the idea from questing beast who cuts out monsters and NPCs from Magic cards.

Where can I find the jumbo dice like you use?
I bought them in a local store in Denmark.
There are some other ones called Mega-hedral dice from Chessex. They look nice.
