How to Make an Acorn Whistle

There are nine native oak tree species in Wisconsin and a mature tree can make up to 10,000 acorns in just one year. The seed within the acorn, if it doesn't have a chance to sprout into a new oak tree, provides a great food source for all kinds of animals ranging from squirrels, turkeys, and even bears!
The acorn cap, or cupule, isn't edible, but lucky for us it makes a great whistle!
