Hey, at 4:56 you said , macro can also be legalised but weren’t they fixed as told earlier?

If macros are fixed, then tool will not legalize them. If anything is not fixed, the tool will try to legalize it. Hope this helps

Sir , Do we call these bins G-cells also( when tool divides the area into bins during initial placement) ?

Do macros placed before placement? Floorplan itself?

you say in detail leagaization, it also do legalization if micro dont have proper orientation.... but earlier u said that in per placement phase we fix the micro, and ports posiotiion and orientation. it is confusing , can you explain please.

Detail legalization is nothing but placement stage where we fix the macros already. If we don't fix then macros are bigger in size and tool might find it difficult to legalize them
