    i had a beyma car bullet ( similar to your driver but more compact ) in the front dash under the windshield crossed at 7 khz to 1.5" scan speak silk dome mid-tweeter driver ( same location ) and the sound was to die for. so airy and detailed with explosive transients. unfortunately the car died before i could install the subs in that system but the mids and highs from that combo were insane. that was back in 2008 and i been leasing new cars since so my DIY car audio hobby didn't survive past that point. the system also had 5" beyma midbass in the front doors and 8" beyma midbass in the rear dash. at the time i had already purchased 15" RCF neodymium subwoofers with 4" VC to go in the trunk but never got to install them. these beyma bullets have extremely crisp sound.

      Hi!
      That sounds like a nice system :)
      I use the cp22 in combinatiion with 12" full range drivers with a triple cone and crossed it at 9kHz. It sounds brilliant and i am very happy with it.

      @@audiokeller1975 yeah these are fairly exotic tweeters so i guess it's not surprising they find themselves in exotic systems. apparently this entire line of Beyma supertweeters are basically clones of the discontinued JBL line of supertweeters. i was wondering why JBL discontinued such great drivers but it's actually obvious now after reading your response - the systems that require drivers like this are too uncommon to be worth it for a mass manufacturer like JBL to keep in production. glad that Beyma is willing to produce unique drivers like this. their horn loaded pleated tweeters seem unique as well, though i never tried them. the reason nobody else makes drivers like this or like your 12" full-range is because the cost and size of the system for a given level of performance ends up being too high for 99% of people. most people just want a portable bluetooth speakers that fit in a gym bag and thump. great to see that the 1% is still hanging in there :)

    It sounds like, .. up to 8khz is a bit high for real good sound from a 12" speaker?

      the 12" speaker is a triple cone fullrange speaker which goes well into the 14kHz range

    Is this the new cp22 MF model?

    • @audiokeller1975
      @audiokeller1975  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! Its the classic CP 22, the newer ones have a plastic and rounded ring instead of the aluminium-look of the older ones.
      But what do you mean with " MF " models?
      I didnt find such a model on the beyma-website.
