Oh my goodness, I LOOOOOVE this. I was around to play Gen 1 games when they were the only ones out, but hearing the announcement of Gen 2 and seeing all that new stuff on the Internet... how you can see your own reflections. How there'd be a daycare with genders for Pokemon and they could lay eggs. It was all so new and exciting and I jumped fully on the Pokemon bus. I was so into it. It was the first time the battle theme changed and it was so exhilarating. It's now the most nostalgic tune for me so it just absolutely thrills me. I especially love the part at the very end that you completely made up yourself. It is soooo good. I wish they could incorporate it into winning the battle in the next Gen 2 remake! :D

Wow. I never grew up with gen 2, so I don't have any nostalgia for it. I did grow up with ORAS, and I think the wild battle theme from that game is amazing, but I think I have found a new favorite. I have no idea why, but gen 2's battle theme makes me nostalgic for a game I've never played.
