This is the first demo album I ever did. Aged 14, still just an instrumental guitarist and not yet singing (I swore I would never sing!) I decided to make a recording of the things I had been composing at the time. I was mostly absorbed in the music of Joe Satriani and other 80's virtuosos so I had a few arrangements largely based around this style. I had met a fabulous professional guitarist named Mark Ganetakos at summer camp the previous year and stayed in contact with him. He suggested helping us put something together in his small apartment in King Edward Park area of Toronto, ON and we spent the summer of 2005 working on this short demo. Mark handled all the production, synth drums and background parts so I could focus on the guitar playing. I was reluctant to record "Slide Thing" as I felt it wasn't my style and pretty simple overall but everyone loved it so I went along. It's a cheesy and fun snapshot of my early days as purely guitar playing little dude with big dreams.

I remember being there for the recording sessions, Mark Ganetakos was such a great guy to take this on. All instrumental, Corey played some great guitar and arrangement for these all original songs.
2005, he was just a kid! Humming riffs and gritty licks.
Miss the CvH gang.
great to see new post and listen
It's great to see what Corey was like in the beginning. There was already great talent there.
You musical talent started to shine early in your journey in life! It is exciting to look ahead to where your path in life will take you next. Thank you for sharing the adventure as it happens!
dam even at age 14 corey was playing with this much skill and talent
Another great EP Corey! I really like “Slide Thing”!
I am still trying to find words...
Hey Chad and Penny how are you spending These Coreyless fridays? I was only one year part of the fridays and that is enough to feel...well I miss it. All of it. I cannot Imagine how hard this must feel for the one's that were there from day one.
Happy but sad.
Bittersweetness next Level.
This is so beautiful, Corey!
I am still trying to find words...
